Anouleth
Forged a Steel Bow for Rolf. Turn 1 Everyone moves right. Sothe shoves Rolf shoves Tormod. Sothe is rescued forward using Marcia/Mist/Astrid. Turn 2 Kieran kills a Fighter (not planned, just a critical). Tormod, Rolf and Astrid all finish off weakened Myrmidons. Tormod and Rolf are rescued forward by Mist and Mordecai. Turn 3 Rolf finishes a Mage (I left him with a Longbow equipped when I dropped him, herp derp). Tormod kills a Myrmidon. Marcia rescues Sothe, Mist rescues Ike, Mordecai smites Marcia. Astrid finishes a Fighter. Everyone else moves up, Turn 4 Tormod kills a Knight. Marcia drops Sothe in the treasure room corridor. Sothe can actually survive a round of combat against the longsword guy at base level . Mist heals Mordecai. Titania weakens a Knight, Mordecai finishes. Kieran opens the room on the right for more EXP. Astrid kills a Mage. Ike shoves Tormod forward. Rolf does likewise. Turn 5 Tormod kills a Knight. Rolf kills a Myrmidon. Mordecai weakens the Sniper, Astrid finishes, delicious EXP ensues. Kieran and Boyd kill Myrmidons. Titania kills a Priest and cantos next to boss man. Ike shoves Tormod so he can get an enemy phase kill. Mist heals Boyd. Marcia opens a door with her lance. Sothe opens a chest for the full guard. Turn 6 I could have totally recruited Devdan... but I think I'd rather have a sliiiiiightly higher levelled Astrid. Sothe grabs the Dracoshield. Titania weakens Kimaarsi just a leetle further. Tormod is shoved by Boyd and takes the kill. Rolf trades his Steely forge to Astrid and kills the last mage. Astrid kills Devdan. Anouleth
Chapter 17 I wrote up a proper log, but I lost it and I can't be bother to rewrite it. Tormod took the Spirit Dust, sorry Calill. I made a Steel Axe forge, max mt, 20 hit. 17-1 Marcia heads into the north section with a Mordy-smite. Astrid promotes on enemy phase of turn 1 by luring the Archer into attacking her, allowing her to dispatch a Knight and head to the south to slaughter Myrmidons since she's one of the few people who double them. Everyone else clears the center, with Tormod/Rolf joining the killing in the north on turn 3. 3 turns 17-2 This took several tries since Marcia kept on spawning in the most inconvenient space, preventing the 3-turn. Mordy pushes her around to get her in range while everyone else eats horses on the west side for EXP. Apparently, there's a Physic in this chapter. I think the only priest you get near is carrying Mend, but I didn't check. If he's the one carrying Physic, it's gettable, but otherwise, it's not reasonable. Even if he did have it, you'd need to use a deployment slot in 17-1 for Volke, since the reinforcements arrive too late to do anything. 3 turns 17-3 Survival chapters are boring. I took my time routing, because I could. I tried to funnel kills into Mordecai here, since he's seriously lagging. 10 turns 17-4 Simple - smite Marcia, who goes to kill Oliver. I tried to get Adept, I really did, but I forgot to bring the Short Spear, and there were simply far too many enemies between Marcia and Msr. Adept. Makes me wish I had Pass. I tried to clear as many enemies I could on the east side, but with only 2 turns, I couldn't get everything. Why can't every chapter be Rout? 2 turns Total: 18 turns. Anouleth
Chapter 18 Forged a Hand Axe for Kieran (+20hit, +5mt). I chaerg through. Boyd/Rolf play rearguard against the Lance Knight reinforcements, while everyone else embarks on an epic journey of Rescueing, Cantoing, Vigoring, and Smiting. Kieran/Astrid are generally at the frontline, but Marcia/Tormod/Tanith get a few kills in as well. Sothe was rescue-dropped by Mist and grabbed Wrath/Silence. Kieran took the boss kill - truly, Kayachey is a pushover. 7 turns I beat the Paladin reinforcement. I don't think the 6 turn is practical - I'd need to get half of my army into the top half of the map, since the Ravens haven't transformed yet. I don't know if it's even possible. I'm going to be very lazy with the logs from here on out. I just want to get through this, to be honest. So I didn't recruit Shinon (fuck getting Rolf to him) and I'm just going to use Tanith and Reyson. Chapter 19 Forged a Javelin for Marcia (+20 hit, +5mt). Boots go to Reyson. Dracoshield goes to Boyd. Energy Drop goes to Rolf. Everyone chaergs north, then on turn 2, Reyson Vigors Tanith so she can kill Homasa. Everyone else picks up kills where they can. Laguz Bow acquired, ditto for Longsword. 2 turns Oh well, I didn't get the Knight Ring. I don't think it's practical to do so anyway... but I could be wrong. I think I'll experiment and see. Anouleth
Chapter 19: Electric Boogaloo I send Marcia w/ Full Guard north to draw him south, then distract him with Janaff's soft blond hair :3. Talking to Naesala annoys me, because he moves after Homasa, it's impossible to complete this in 2 turns AND get the Knight Ring. Oh well, I'm also getting BEXP and CEXP from this, so I guess it's er, probably worth it. Even so, about half the Ravens are too dumb to escape. 3 turns Chapter 20 I forge a max mt Thunder for Tormod... hopefully it might come in handy. I need to do some rescuing/dropping shenanigans at the start of the chapter. The Dracoknights are pains to 1-round, so I decide to just throw Sonic Sword Ike in there and have him slaughter everything, while everyone else sits out of range and kills the Halberdiers to get Smite. Mist rescues Rolf just so she can hand him over to Marcia next turn and she can drop him. Kieran/Tormod/Boyd go south to fetch Rescue and EXP. Astrid mops up the enemies in the north. Marcia carries Rolf over to Shihiram... and then I realise Shihiram has Full Guard . Well, somehow Rolf/Marcia manage to take out his stupidly durable ass anyway. Tanith drops Ike on turn 3, Reyson Vigors him, he seizes. 3 turns For anyone interested in Tormod being able to use Rescue, he reached D Rank Staves in Chapter 18, but he probably could have been healing more. Knight Ring was on Reyson this chapter and was completely useless since he uses his max movement every turn anyway. Chapter 21 I love this chapter, just because Ashnard gets the most badass quote ever at the end of it. On the other hand, Sleep staves, and Tormod doesn't have the rank for Restore and Mist is too heavy to be rescued. Fucking pony. I half considered dragging Rhys along for this, even. ANYWAY Marcia carries Tormod and Tanith carries Ike. Mist needs to burn a use of Rescue on Reyson to get him in position to continue to Vigor everyone forward, but I finally reach Tauroneo on Turn 3 due to the enemy Sleep staves missing. However, I got severely bogged down there - Tauroneo hit Tormod and cut him down to *gets killed by a funny look* HP, I forgot to bring his Thunder forge for Ena and Marcia/Tanith's Steel Lance forge breaks so Marcia can't 1-round the crazy 35HP/20DEF Knights that litter the throne room. However, Tauroneo (of all goddamn people) came to the rescue! Tormod did just enough damage to him that he procced Resolve, and trust me, Tauroneo is goddamn insane once Resolve gets going. Against Ena, he has 51 attack with the Laguzslayer, so he 2HKOes her, with almost perfect hit too. So I decided to be nice and toss Tauroneo's mustache the kill. So yeah, once the Knights are cleared away, pretty simple. Astrid/Kieran/Mordy/Titania/Boyd/Rolf/Calill went north to fetch the only treasure I care about - the Energy Drop. Calill was completely fucking useless and did nothing other than Meteor a door. 5 turns I suppose a 4 turn might be possible if Tormod had Rescue or I had a Tanith strong enough to 2HKO Knights, but I can't be bothered. Knight Ring was still on Reyson, but again, he moved his maximum movement every turn except the last, and who cares about Canto on the last turn where he's not going to get attacked and doesn't need to resposition himself for Turn 6? I am beginning to think that the Knight Ring on Reyson is not worthwhile. What is a soldier without a steady diet of war? Blood and pain are the foods of a true warrior! Anouleth
Put Smite on Ranulf, gave him the Demi Band. Turn 1 Calill shoves Tormod, who kills the Axe Knight. Rolf kills a Fighter. Astrid trades Elwind back to the top of his inventory and kills a Sage. Kieran kills the Iron Ballista Sniper. Tanith kills another Sage. Turn 4 Marcia rescues Ike and is Vigored by Reyson. Tormod eliminates another Ballista Archer with Meteor. Tanith kills a Tiger, Astrid kills a Fighter. Anouleth
Chapter 25 Forged a Silver Sword for Ike. Kind of a waste in restrospect since we're not all that far away from Ragnell. Saviour went to Marcia, Colossus went to Boyd, Vantage/Guard went to Largo. Largo, Tormod, Reyson and Marcia take the left hand side. Boyd, Rolf, Ike, and Tanith's Reinforcements take the right hand side. Tanith gets a Ward, she needs to the go into the middle since she's the only person who can 3HKO Gromell at 1-2 range. After taking down Gromell, Marcia goes up to clear out the top of the mountain with Tanith and some support from Tormod/Reyson. Funnily enough, I'd be willing to claim Tanith's Reinforcements alone as being more useful than the Paladins in this chapter. 4 turns Chapter 26 Forged a Silver Axe. Astrid can't use it, she's still on C/C I totally let a ton of people die, However, most of them are totally scrubs that I only fielded to shovebot and didn't carry anything valuable. Mordecai, Bastian and Volke were all killed. However, Mist and Boyd also died, purely out of my mistake on Turn 3. All I did was just rush the castle and try to avoid the enemies to the north and west, with Marcia chaufeurring Ike. 4 or 5 turns, don't remember exactly (Soren doesn't keep track of this, just a billion other things that nobody gives a shit about) Chapter 27 Marcia takes the right, Tormod takes the left. Everyone else heads north, with Astrid heading to support Tormod and Kieran/Elincia heading to support Marcia while Ike/Tanith focus on cracking the central room (eventually Geoffrey and Rolf catch up). I get every treasure and Rout the map, and I even have Chest Keys left over. Elincia also Hammerned the Rescue. She needs all three uses for Final, and with Mist dead, I have to Hammerne now. 6 turns Nooo it's the Black Knight, run away! Seriously, I didn't give Ike any Elixirs and Mist is dead, so I'm not even going to bother. 1 turn Chapter 28 Silver Lance forged for Tanith. Wrath and Resolve put on Ike. Tanith and Marcia airlift Tormod/Ike over the trees, while Astrid/Kieran employ the more conventional method of just hacking through everything. Reyson used the last Laguz Stone use. It's amazing what a difference using the Stone makes. Heddwyn himself is pretty soft, but he's surrounded by about a bajillion enemies and Pass hasn't been invented yet. 5 turns Final Stats going into the last chapter: Name TIR LVL EXP HP STR MAG SKL SPD LUK DEF RES Other Ike 2 12 30 50 26 9 19 28 22 24 16 Rolf 2 9 94 42 19 7 21 22 9 19 10 Marcia 2 19 34 49 23 10 24 28 16 20 22 Kieran 2 15 13 45 25 4 21 27 15 19 11 Astrid 2 19 0 42 25 11 24 27 18 21 14 Tormod 2 17 0 38 15 26 27 26 20 14 19 Tanith 2 19 0 38 23 13 23 26 20 18 14 yeah, she capped strength too Geoffrey 2 13 50 43 18 9 18 20 12 22 10 Elincia 2 2 88 28 9 13 17 19 16 11 13 Largo 2 8 49 53 22 4 21 20 12 10 3 39323 Funds Ashera Icon Secret Book Arms Scroll Energy Drop Occult x2 Elincia Rescues Ike, then is Vigored, then Rescues again, then Rescues again on the last turn. My luck was horrible on this chapter - Marcia ended up dying, as did Largo, a nd Ike repeatedly failed to crit Ashnard, so he needed to be hacked into oblivion. 5 turns Final turncount: 157 Tanith, 55 kills Titania, 56 kills Rolf, 62 kills Astrid, 66 kills Tormod, 68 kills Kieran, 88 kills Ike, 107 kills Shame that Marcia died, or she'd be at the top of the list. Zkirsche
Unlucky about Marcia's death. I'd have reset myself, but w/e. Congrats on finishing. I'll have to give mine some Cpr soon too.

I'm half-tempted to go through Final again just to see her final headcount, but given the pain I went through... I think I had to restart 6 times due to bad luck. Once Ike failed to crit Ashnard three times in a row and then got hit back with ~60 display, once Ike missed a Cat with 91 display hit, once Ike got hit by literally every enemy that attacked him and he died. I'm just happy it's over.

Looks like your beloved wrath + resolve didn't work as well as you keep claiming. I still don't think that it reliably helps more than giving those elsewhere. Particularly since you have to sit on wrath from chapter 19 until chapter 28 if you want the superior Aether option until you get Resolve. Anouleth
Looks like your beloved wrath + resolve didn't work as well as you keep claiming. I still don't think that it reliably helps more than giving those elsewhere. Particularly since you have to sit on wrath from chapter 19 until chapter 28 if you want the superior Aether option until you get Resolve. And perhaps, if I had picked Aether, Ike would never have procced it either since it has a lower chance of proccing and he doesn't double, so instead of 2RKOing and needing 4 rounds of combat to kill Ashnard, I would need 10 rounds of combat just for Ashnard's first form and I would have to heal Ike twice every turn (meaning that both Reyson and Elincia are continuously busy). Oh, and Ike had awful skill in this case anyway. I figured it out - even in ten rounds of combat, Ike would only have had a 88% chance to proc Aether, compared to a 93.5% chance of crittinn with Wrath in just two rounds of combat. And perhaps Wrath might be better off elsewhere, but on who? Most of the time, my characters aren't at half health, and they generally ORKO anyway and I don't really like relying on a 75% chance to kill. It's annoying enough having to bank on it proccing against just one boss in the entire map, let alone relying on it for offense against generics. Regardless, Resolve is guaranteed on Ike. It gives him the durability to take almost the entire top half of the map providing you lure Bryce away and turns his 9 damage a round into 44 damage per round, plus perfect accuracy. Zkirsche
Neph for wrath + Vantage combo.
Anouleth
Neph for wrath + Vantage combo. Neph already has Wrath, plus I wasn't using her, plus I wanted to put Vantage on Largo.
