fatgamecat
I'd guess that 10 turns is the fastest you can clear P8 on Lunatic, unless you think you can take on more than 4 enemies at a time. It took me 11 on lunatic reverse because I had to back up for a turn when dealing with the 2x bandits and 2x mages.
Don Draper
Out of curiosity, what build did you use for your Fighter MU Grandjackal? I'm thinking that Orphan, Beautiful, Humanitarian might be the best way to go, but I forget how crucial extra defense is in the prologue, so I'm not sure if Cleric's Child would be preferable. grandjackal
I'm trying to remember, but if I recall correctly I did not use anything that gave initial speed boosts (since my thought was outside of armors which don't appear later, he's not gonna double a goddamn thing). It would probably be wise to do so though, since when chapter 1 comes along he'll want the speed to double enemies with the monsterous strength he's built up (a merc needs 13 Str to ORKO with an iron sword, btu hte issue is getting it to 15 AS for doubling since MU needs 6 base speed to pull that off. Fighter might prefer being an Odd Noble Humanitarian. Noble helps further with the +2 skill, as minor as that is though it at least lifts the hit rate on Luke from 69 to 71 and makes swordies a bit more bearable). I think I tried either Farmer Odd Glorious or Orphan Mighty Glorious. Lately though I've been loving the Myrm. Damn me though because I again don't remember the build. I believe it was Farmer Odd Humanitarian. Sounds like an odd build, but for some reason other builds made the AI go retarded and dead end me against Luke or P-3 (Luke goes after Ryan with other builds, MU is 2RKOd, dead end. At least the merc can take more than 2 rounds so he's got a bit more leeway in his building). However, I am adoring it after prologue. ORKOing chapter 1 bandits with Steel, and doesn't need to promote early since class changing her to cavalier is promotion enough.
Darknight97
I apologize that I'm necroposting but one of the better builds for knight mu imo is noble, kind and recluse. 3 speed should allow him to survive p3 without rigging for speed in p1,1 def is nice, and recluse adds a very good strength growth. It should let him survive the prologue.
