Nightmare Posted April 29, 2011 Author Share Posted April 29, 2011 Barroth pretty much forced me to learn to make better use of Great Swords. And by that I mean slash, roll, sheathe, run away, repeat (for Barroth, at least). The point you're at, you might want to invest in Alloy armour. It's pretty easy to get all of its materials and has a nice defence boost (especially if you're willing to spend a few armour spheres). The wiki doesn't say much about getting them, but IIRC I got some from doing something for someone. That was probably a set event, though (haven't played in forever) Where else do you get them? I got stuck there for a while too but shhhh I'm not supposed to be new to MH. It was not fun with hammer. At all. I'd say your best bet is make a decent lance right now. Remember, it's uppercut the attack you'll be using always. Always. Just combo on its hands or belly, sidestep out of the way, and shieldadvance the charges. But I don't feel like spending all that time getting money for it... Though it might be quicker...
