Catnip
Your voice seems appropriate for the test. Although when saying Haar's lines, it sounded like it needed more spirit. It's a fine line, because one of his traits is how he's always tired. I was trying to keep that, but I'll add more spirit when appropriate. Thank you! VGE
Awesome, this is a great idea. I hope a lot of people give this a go. I do think it will be pretty hard to find enough people for the entire cast, since there are so many characters, but I hope it works out. I'd love to audition for some people soon. But I have a question: when do auditions go until? I've got some decent recordings I just made, but I'd like to find a time to use my dorm's music practice room to re-record so I can yell without feeling like an idiot. I swear the walls of my room are made of paper; you can practically hear someone whisper next door. As of right now, there is no due date. Well, within reason, naturally. I don't want to be still holding auditions in 2013, you know? I am simply waiting for others to apply, and hopefully, we can get this started. I'm trying not to advertise on YouTube, because I want it to be a surprise for all the PoR fans on YouTube and such.

Hellioning
Right, here is my audition for way too many people, especially at once. Still... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HRPMRDGR This is my first time using a recording software, so it's probably all kinds of terrible; if there's a way I can improve, let me know. Also, you might wanna edit the first post, so people realize that you're accepting auditions now.

Also, Joerachi, I would say you make a decent Soren, but I couldn't understand the very beginning of your first set of lines. The rest sounded good to me, though. Maybe a little deep for Soren, but that's just personal tatste.
Toothache
Methinks you need a British voice for Bastian, Count of Fayre http://www.mediafire.com/?syf6vttk0j2jj2j http://www.mediafire.com/?745q1an2qi75e3o http://www.mediafire.com/?go24oo344v7bxgg Perhaps for the Lion King Caineghis as well. http://www.mediafire.com/?4i25z8db1bgqtdj http://www.mediafire.com/?mvxcgfedir8h3cr Edited September 29, 2011 by Toothache

Your scathing tone in the first one was hilarious. I already emailed my auditions in, but I figured I'd link them here too. Feel free to let me know what you think. I figure Ike might be hard to cast given that he's already got an established voice in the games, but here's my go at it. Ike Audition Ike Audition 2 Dheginsea Audition(this one's very quiet because of mic troubles; I can redo it if people would like) Edited September 29, 2011 by Ragnell

I know I'm fumbling; my backwards English is rusted XD http://www.mediafire.com/?pbvz5gm6t9dr97d There's more auditions that I want to do, but I can't finish them all today. Junkhead
Joeratchi sounded too manly to be Soren. I think a more teenage-like voice would fit him.
Paper Jam
I sent an email with my impressions of Ashnard, the Black Knight, and Rajaion, and I'm trying to upload them to megaupload.com in case you didn't get the email. I'm afraid the volume isn't nearly high enough, but I'm not sure how to make it higher. Maybe my mic just sucks. Paper Jam
Soren is supposed to have started aging slowly when he was 16; I'd say any 16-year-old (or younger) boy should be able to do his voice pretty well, however "manly" he sounds. My voice, for example, is largely unchanged from when I was 14.
Ragnell
Joeratchi sounded too manly to be Soren. I think a more teenage-like voice would fit him. I kinda have to agree. Despite the fact that teenage guys have a wide range of voices, I always imagined Soren with a bit higher voice, like I said before. I think he could be a pretty awesome Shinon, though, since Shinon is essentially an older Soren in terms of emotional expression.

Jotaro Kujo
After I add my auditions, I just now realize that the OP posted lines for us to read and voice. -_- I apologize for that, I honestly did not see the link there. If you want me to redo the lines I will. ._.

If you want me to redo the lines I will. ._. Me too. I just picked a few lines of my choice; I didn't notice that you had selected audition lines for us. Not that it matters for my Rajaion audition, of course... but I'll redo the Black Knight, Zelgius, and Ashnard if you want me to.
VGE
> TheTinyImp: I loved your Sanaki voice. Mist is good, too. It was hard for me to hear your Leanne voice, though. Your Astrid is all right. > Ragnell: I do like your Dheginsea voice, I think it suits him pretty good. I enjoy your Ike voice as well, but, I would think he shouts "MOVE OUT" at the end, unless you have troubles shouting into a mic, which is understandable, since I too, cannot shout into a mic. > Paper Jam: Your auditions seem real quiet, like TinyImp's Leanne. As for "redo-ing" the auditions, it's fine if you don't follow the lines. I posted them, so that you have an idea of what to say. You can improvise as much as you want, so long as it's actual dialogue from the game, lol. Edited October 1, 2011 by etern
Jotaro Kujo
All right, I'll redo my Leanne voice. My aim was to make it quiet since Leanne is a quiet person, but I didn't mean to make it so you couldn't hear me. >_< Glad you liked Sanaki and Mist. Do you want me to redo Astrid without the heavy accent? I just kinda thought that she would have a British accent, being a noble and all. I went a little overboard with it, eheh. I'm sorry. I enjoy your Ike voice as well, but, I would think he shouts "MOVE OUT" at the end, unless you have troubles shouting into a mic, which is understandable, since I too, cannot shout into a mic. Okay, I'm glad the Dheginsea one wasn't too quiet. I recorded that before I figured out that I have to practically put my mouth up to the mic to be audible. As for Ike, yeah, I'm not sure if I can shout into my mic or not. Some of my first attempts at raising my voice got garbled, so I never really tried full-on shouting. But if you'd like I can see if I can make it work soon (I actually agree that it should probably be shouted). I'm guessing that if I can back up from the mic and then yell, I'd be able to increase the volume later to make it work. I also need to find a time/place where I can yell and people won't think I'm a lunatic, but that shouldn't be too hard.
VGE
[i have no idea how to multi-quote without it looking weird, so I'll just do this:] "Glad you liked Sanaki and Mist. Do you want me to redo Astrid without the heavy accent? I just kinda thought that she would have a British accent, being a noble and all. I went a little overboard with it, eheh. I'm sorry. " Nah, British-ness is all right. In my opinion, we should have various accents, so it doesn't sound like everyone came from one place, ya'know? And Ragnell, I believe all the auditions were quiet, so I would appreciate a redo. You could redo them (If you choose to) all, when you find a place you can shout. Paper Jam
Sorry about the volume on my last attempt. I figured out what was wrong and, as far as I know, rectified the situation. As always, I am Paper Jam, and these are the parts I would like to play: Ashnard: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZZ4UCTHW http://www.megaupload.com/?d=C71GSBZD Black Knight/Zelgius http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ITR745SD http://www.megaupload.com/?d=45XEBQZD http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UHJWNAHP Rajaion http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4FN3BWN8 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KNZKH50O By the way, for those whose audition lines were also quiet... I think that in most versions of Windows, you can go to the Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and "Manage Audio Devices." Check your "Recording" devices' properties and increase their "levels." Mine were pretty low, which is why the volume of my recordings was so low. Edited October 3, 2011 by Paper Jam

Jotaro Kujo
So, I just developed a cold (yay for shoddy immune systems >_>) and my voice is out of commission until it heals. I have another recording of Leanne on my computer that's really old, but it's just as quiet as the other one. >_< This did give me a great opportunity to exploit my Petrine voice, that I can't do unless my voice is an octave lower. (Just a note: the last time I did my Petrine voice was before my voice changed; so it's entirely possible that I'll be able to do it without the help of a cold now) http://www.mediafire.com/?fq1v09t87thy7ha Here it is. I hope the volume is good. I really need a new mic >_< Here's a tip for you guys: if you're getting a lot of popping and breathing noises, try covering your mic with a thick layer of paper towel. It'll help to get rid of the softer noises, but the louder ones will still get through. It works wonders for me.

VGE
Kay, I just listened to the two auditions -- TinyImp and Paper Jam, and they're pretty good. Paper Jam, I'm not going to ask you to re-do any auditions, but, would you be able to scream into the mic?
