I'll thank you right now haha. Thanks! Already know where to start, and that actually sounds very good for a change.

TBH as the release date approaches, I'm starting to really want it. Actually bought and downloaded it yesterday

Are you looking forwards for it? :^)

That's absolutly bizarre and a truly fascist speech. I wonder if he thought about going back to Scotland (his mother was scottish) when he hated the Obama presidency so much.

That said, I'm curious about the rest of the last sentence.

Now they call Nancy Pelosi a what?

also lol alcaida

fuck nobody, don't send him here. we're full

i think he's probably the most disliked person in scotland

it's probably "a racist" because of the recent falling out between those groups, but I'm pretty sure AOC clarified and say she didn't think she was lol

aw jules, that's not a very nice thing to say =/

there's differences in this, one thing is being an educated person who was supposed to know their first language well, then there are people who never had the opportunities to learn it properly, and then there are people who don't speak that language. What I was talking about was because of the first category of people: i.e. those who can't write proper portuguese on official documents or other places where they were supposed to.

Now, why does it bother you that people on the street speak a different language than you? Do you want to start a conversation with them? I don't think Germany is the sort of place in which people would want to strike up random conversations with strangers (my city definitely isn't either)?

Have you considered that:

1. Those people are tourists. If you were expected to learn the language of a country to visit it, tourism would be almost dead. I myself went to Germany without speaking a word of german. Do you think I shouldn't have visited it?

2. Those people are refugees. This one is a big possibility considering there are lots of refugees in Germany. Do you think they should have not tried to leave their country before learning a foreigner language? How'd they do this on a country ravaged by war, where they risk dying whenever leaving home?

3. They're "just" economic migrants. Well, maybe they're just acompaning family members, who do speak german, and focus most of their time on their on house, taking care of it and their family, and have no time for learning a hard foreigner language. Maybe they're trying to learn german, but it's hard. Maybe, they simply don't have the ooportunity to learn it.

Or maybe, which is also very plausible and probably happens to a lot of people that you see speaking foreigner languages: They actually DO speak german, but they aren't speaking it because they're talking to someone who also speaks their first language, and there's absolutely no point in two people who speak the same first language to speak another language to each other.

Don't worry, I don't think badly of you because of this opinion. I'm absolutely done with outrage culture, but like, try putting yourself on others' shoes. I mean, you yourself used to have a quite bad english when you started posting here. It wouldn't have been nice for someone to tell you to "go post on a forum of your own language" before getting better at english, would it?

@Nobody

Please do not misunderstand me.

I am not right in any way and have not problems with foreigners and foreign cultureres.

I was referring to immigrants mainly from East Europe. Of course we do have some refugees as well and tons of Dutch tourists. I already consider this area as little Netherlands.I am living in a six party house and four of them are from foreign countries, and they are all nice except for one.

And I am working for an university which has a 50% rate of foreign students. (It is mainly made for students from abroad) So I have to deal with different nationalities and languages almost everyday and have no problem with it (despite it is mandatory to have a certain skill level in German). I can even improve my English skills by that unintentionally.

The thing is the most foreigners come to our land to have better life conditions what I absolutely understand. But if these people want all benefits, they have to bring at least some compensation by learning our language. It is the really the only thing I expect to become part of our society. If people speak to the cashier in French, then I do not know what to say here. If I would move to an other land, I would do the exact same. There are times, mainly in trains, when I feel as foreigner in my own home country which is an awkward feeling.

I am not the only one who thinks this way because otherwise (right) populism parties would not grow on popularity. However to make things clear I do not support a party like that because they still include with national socialistic thinking as the AFD does.

Better integration is something I really wish and this country really needs.

Bolsonaro wants to nominate one of his dumb sons to be the ambassador to 'muricah even tho that's nepotism and he has no qualifications whatsoever. Well, he claims he's qualified because he, in his own words, "fried burgers in the cold of Maine"

His son speaking english:

when asked about nepotism, Bolsonaro says: "of course i'm going to favor my son, he's my son."

Jesus Christ Bolsonaro has been on a roll this past week

besides the ambassador mess he also:

-said he'd end the government cinema agency if they didn't stop funding "ideological" movies

-said "hunger in Brazil is a lie" after a report said 5 million people spend at least a day without eating in 2017

-said a journalist critical to him lied about being tortured by the military dictatorship and was a guerrila member trying to install a communist dictatorship in the country

-leaked a policy members of government were still considering doing

-said that "of all the -slur to refer to people from northeastern brazil- governor, the one from Maranhão is the worst"

It's like he decided to take this past week to say even more stupid shit than usual

Jesus i can't stand to have this idiot speaking like that as a president anymore

On having to cut government spending:

"Just a dime. Do you agree that it's just a dime compared to the government budget of trillions? 2 billions and something is just a bit. What we're deciding on the economic team is that rather than cutting financing of six or seven or eight ministries and all of them staying, die, basically (sic), cut just one of them. We're going to kill just a single ministry. I'm being forced to decide like on that story with Sophie, what's its name, again?"(Refering to sophie's choice)

please just impeach him and put mourão on his place already

Can't believe it's still 3 and a half years of this shit

John Merrill, who's running for the Republican nomination to challenge incumbent Democratic Doug Jones, said that America is losing its moral core due to its preoccupation with "homosexual activities" and TV shows that focus on "how people are trying to date on TV."
