Normally I'm opposed to perv behavior in characters, but I guess consensually-created playboy/porn mags are okay. You aren't intruding on anyone that way, just keeping it to yourself. This said, old men are still are leches for liking magazines, it's your one, very DQ, flaw Rab.

*Sigh* Whilst I'll rather spend money to support what sounds like a very laudable franchise, my next computer being another Mac b/c I'm stupid and naive I accept that, means that I'll bend my conscience and just emulate the franchise once I have my next Mac. It's that or I don't play it at all. That image compels me with cute boys to break from that. However, I'll need someone to hack the games to visually 100% replace whoever Eclipse uses as their avi on this site, since I am unable to separate the two and do not want Eclipse in my head the entire time I play the game(s) with whoever she is.

To transition from one topic to another on the note of perversion, whyyyyyyyy is there a tentacle Mechon later in the game called the M76 MOIST?

I like how clear everything is, like damage dealt, enemy level, name, looks amazing!

In a way, being the simplest XC helps. There is less information that need be shown to the player.

Yet, even then the choice to make the colors bright was a good move. As was setting the Arts on white backgrounds. The only thing I'd change is dulling the brightness of the pink and maybe the blue a bit.

Though because I stylistically like the neon-on-black Arts of XCX as suited to the game's more sci-fi feel, I'm conflicted about X2 possibly changing them.

I suppose that's a flaw on having the same avi for long. Sometimes I've felt like that too when it comes to certain members.

It's been suprisignly not as challenging as i had expected. Though granted, i'm still in Ch.3. I just beat Ahkos for the first time with a two-round Chain Attack.

I think it helps that this is my third time going through the game so all my knowledge makes up for me being in a permament state of disadvantge.

I hope it has been the second last time it happened.

I need multiple days to get used on this.

Also being late bright and late dark sucks since I have to go work in the darkness again.

Daylight Savings? I suppose I could agree on that.

Well, only played a little DQIV today. Just made it to Porthtrunnel. Will do Pharos Beacon tomorrow, perhaps. Also, I'd say, I like that I can bring back the sisters' battle theme by placing them earlier in the line-up than Solo. Forgot to mentioned this earlier; but it also applied to Monster Arena matches. I'd say, made the losing streak more bearable, heh. I liked that battle theme over the regular one.

My university sent out a message earlier, informing all students that all classes will be held online for the time being when the new semester starts.
Which is good, because saying "this semester will be cancelled due to corona" would suck.

Would interest me how online studying works.

I assume the professors and lecturers only upload scripts the students have to read.

I mean Holding an online lecture would be definitely possible, but not everyone has a videochat program like Skype.

Actually I should ask around at mine since I actually pay them out although I don't know if and for what.

Daylight savings?

As for me it's the exact opposite.

I will have to use more energy for turning on the lights in the early morning.

Yeah, it's really smooth and a lot easier to read. The UI in the original Xenoblade is kinda cluttered. Same for X though X does let you remove some parts for a clearer view.

I just appreciate the small touches that they are putting in there to make it look even better than they already have!

But yeah, the original is kinda a mess, isn't it?

I suppose it is simple, huh.

I like the new colors, they are so much more defined than before.

I never noticed that about Xenoblade X, that's a good point!

Of course it is, all video game difficulty can be divided into four things:

  • Reflexes- Not relevant in some genres, like turn-based RPGs. But for an action, fighting, platformer, or racing game, you need 'em.
  • Knowledge- The amount of raw information you possess about a game. The more the better.
  • Wisdom- The application of the Knowledge you have.
    • If you have the Knowledge that Boss X uses Y Attack every 5 turns and it inflicts confusion and deals heavy damage to all, then Wisdom is equipping anti-confusion gear, healing on turn 4, and using Defend to reduce incoming damage.
    • For a fighting game, Knowledge can be knowing enemy Fighter A has 3 frames of vulnerability after using B Move, and Wisdom is having your Fighter C exploit that.
    • For a platformer/racer, memorizing the level/racetrack is Knowledge, deciding how you run & jump/race across it is the Wisdom.
  • Luck- Or you can call it *uck, it depends on how it treats you. You can't directly do anything about this randomized and unpredictable element, you can only improve yourself in the other three categories of difficulty so that all you're left to deal with is this one.

As for Daylight Savings, I prefer it more than not. More light later in the day >>> more in the morning. Not sure how it is over in Deutschland, but the US oddly has some states that opt out of the system. Arizona being one of them, non-Daylight Savings is always in effect there, except for Native American tribal lands in the state, they opted in.

That question mark is elusive.

Anyways I need a break now.

I've played for almost 20 h this weekend.

So I'm feeling burnt out right now.

Idk the exact pattern of time change.

I think it's always the last sunday of March in October.

Anyways having only winter time would be perfect.

I hate it, if it becomes dark at 4 PM around christmas time.

I leave the house at darkness and I return at darkness.

So last night, i deadass dreamt that i was peer-pressured into buying Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Genuianly one of the most terrifying dreams i've had in a long time.

These appearently show up in Mechonis Field but i don't even remember seeing them. I thought that the M71 was a one-of-a-kind.

The semester is nearly over anyways so just canceling it doesn't make sense.

This is assuming that Germany follows the same college schedules as America.

Most online classes give you the lectures in the form of a PowerPoint. After that, your assignments usually consist of weekly quizzes that you have to complete. Classes like math also have you do learning activites that must also be completed before the due date (but never take math online, that is a major mistake).

Even now, that hasn't changed. Only my Art History 2 class is kinda different since we now have to submit our assignments online rather than handing them over in paper.

Summer one was suppossed to start in a couple weeks, winter one already ended like a month and a half ago.

All completely true.
And for some games, Luck indeed becomes *uck for me. And the sad part is, some games or individual parts of them are so dependant on it that improving yourself doesn't help much.
You either win through sheer Luck or you don't, there is no in-between. This is what I generally consider to be absolutely atrocious game design.

Actually, our semesters usually start in April for summer semesters (they last until the middle of July) and in October for winter semesters (they last until the middle of February).
I would personally prefer a spring and autumn split, but that's how it works over here. For my university at least, don't know if it's different anywhere else.

It is generally this, yeah. Along with taking tests and doing a bunch of reading to prepare for those tests.

Ah. Over here, the Summer semester starts in May ends in early August and the Fall semester starts in late August and ends in mid-December. We don't have a Winter semester, since the Spring semester starts in January and lasts until the end of April.

That's interesting, so you guys basically have three semesters a year?
I'd wager people could finish university a lot faster over here if we had that, too.

As someone who did his mechatronics bachelor's in three years in a three-per-year system... I could say yeah, likely. Otherwise it's like, four or so years, isn't it?

Was a torture by the tail-end... but yeah, it's faster, I suppose.

We do but the Summer semester is kinda presented as a more "optional" semester. Even in terms of financial aid, i get less money for the summer than i do for any other semester. And this is just going off the campus i go to but it seems that there are less people physically attending during the summer than any other semester.

I imagine online classes see a spike increase in attendence during the summer tho.

They're probably gonna cancel middle school for the rest of the year; we've basically got a month left anyways. I hope the transition into High school isn't too hard given that everyone's a third of a year behind.

I can imagine that the workload can be a bit much if you don't really have a lot of downtime to do things at your own pace.
Over here, the expected time for the bachelor is supposed to be three years as well, but not many people can do it in those three years.

So you're basically free to attend at your leisure, otherwise it's self-study time?
Sounds like a good compromise, especially if it gets too hot during summer. I can tell you from experience, smoldering away in a lecture room at 35+ degrees Celsius and no air-conditioning is not a pleasant thing (part of the reason why I would prefer a spring and autumn split instead of a summer and winter one).
It must be even worse or at least equally as bad in Florida, though, right? That's a horror I don't really want to imagine.

Oh no, the classrooms in my college at least are air conditioned. The less pleasant part came from having to take two-hour bus rides to and from the campus. Which sometimes meant waiting out in the sun for like 15-20 minutes.

Btw, since i go to a community college, there aren't any of those big lecture rooms that are usually associated with universities.

That said, simply out of convinence, most of my classes are online (so the classes right now being switched online due to COVID-19 is basically just buisness as usual for me) so i would still do my studies from the comfort of my own home. Though every semester, i have a least one class that i have to attend physically (and all of them were related to art or digital design, except the Humanities class i'm currently taking, because all the online classes for that were full). My math class last semester also required me to take the tests in a testing center.
