Everyone jumped into the nullify bandwagon

Umm Nullify doesnt even have to stay on him for very long but he likes not getting spammed by Thunder mages. Yeah they happen! His res is so bad that if he gets spanked by a Thunder mage and spammed by some other mage, Notice how a lot of the mages are actually in groups?vhes in a world of hurt. It never hurts to get rid of that little flaw temporarily.

I just mentioned that Nullify removes Haar's only weakness. Until he gets better dodge and higher HP/RES, Thunder Sages in early Part III are a problem for Haar.

This so much. He doesnt need to have it on there for long. Once he promotes, Nullify can be taken off. And Haar is promoting pretty quickly. Im not even sure why this is even a thing?! Do you HAVE to put Nullify on him? No but it just helps. Do you have to use that speedwing on him? No you dont but it freaking helps! Its the same thing. Also people arent taking points off their rating for this stuff anyway.

Oh wow. One of the best units in the enitre game. Really good bases and awesome starting level to grow. His thunder weakness is migitated due to thunder magic bad hit rates. Other drawbacks include low res and a poor speed growth

However, easily is one the best for his parts, and joins Ike's team in part 3!

Fun fact: Dragon Master's caps beat or are equal to Marshall's Caps. HAha!

@Florina- Except that haar NEVER has to fight a thunder sage if you dont want to. The only "forced" thunder sage he has to face is the 2-E thunder sage that attacks before the boss. The one in 3-2 is away from his path (the mountains), the one in 3-3 is suuuuuper isolated and hes not going there, there are no thunder sage in 3-4 and since hes obviously tier 3 at this point, he has no trouble with the sages anyway. There are no thunder sages in 3-5, much less mages, near the boss. In 3-7, the thunder sages might as well no exist due to their locations and you can avoid them everytime. In 3-8, he doesnt have to face them if there any IIRC. Just have titania kill it. In 3-10, there are no thunder sages yet again, hell, there are no sages at all, only bishops. In 3-11, there is one where he drops ike, but considering he has enough lck by this point, probably enough res, he can take the hit and still tank everything else. In 4-P, there are no magic enemies except the bishop near the boss. In 4-3, he does have a sleep problem though.

Obviously? In a HM efficiency run, Haar is only tier 3 in 3-4 if he used the 3-3 Master Crown (a high-demand resource).

The player has "claim" to the 3-3 Master Crown (and all resources). The player can use resources however they wish. So what are you trying to say?

And this is why I ranked Haar lower than everyone else. Stat boosters, skills, and promotion items are in limited supply. Many people seem to imply that Haar will be given these resources. I agree him having the Speedwing in part 2 is the best usage of it at the time, but other characters could be (better) too by giving them that. Why don't we increase their score any for being a possible recepipent. Haar does not have to be the sole user of it. In the end, Haar needs a little bit of a bump in speed training through BEXP, resetting, overleveling or speedwings to get to that one round KO status through doubling. He is not inherently godlike until he starts doubling stuff. If he doubled stuff off the get go without any bit of favoritism, I'd say he'd be perfect.

The thing is though, in FE10 there is no truly perfect unit. An unbiased 10/10 shouldn't constitute a perfect unit, it should constitute the best unit (or units) in the game.

10/10 is best unit of the game.

Because only in FE4 a perfect unit exists.

What are you trying to say? Communist Emblem?

PKL stated: "[Haar] has claim to [the 3-3 Master Crown]". I found the use of the word "claim" peculiar. "claim" indicates ownership. But Haar does not join with the 3-3 Master Crown. Haar might have obtained the Master Crown in 3-3, but so might other units. So by what means does Haar posess this claim? Considering PKL's previous sentence, "[Haar] is the best use of [the 3-3 Master Crown] though", might provide some illumination. If Haar being the best use of a resource results in him holding a claim over the resource, then we must be adopting the economic and/or moral paradigm of "might makes right" or "social darwinism".

But speaking of resources in FE as if any unit holds a claim to them is inherently fallacious. Units are not agents with autonomy. The player is. The player, being the sole autonomous agent, has a rightful claim to all resources. The player may very well use the 3-3 Master Crown on Haar in 3-4's base, but is not because Haar has claimed it in some way. It is because the player agent chose to do so. The proper conceptual framework for using resources in FE is not a competitive unit-agent economy, but a single agent (the player) making consumption and investment decisions. The lexicon of "claims" and "communism" has no place.

Folks like Ilyana make better use of it. =)

I just use a bit of Bonus EXP to give Haar more speed.

If we rate all units on a scale of 1 to 10, clearly the best unit would be the 10.

Haar is 10/10.

What if all (or most of) the units are pretty average? More or less the case in some of the games.
