VincentASM
Not sure what to call these, but Nintendo has published some concept sketches used to create the CG movie scenes here: N.O.M (June 2012). There are 5 movies with 1-8 pages of sketches and comments. You need to click on the pen icon and text to the top right of each movie to view the sketches. Naturally there are some spoilers, especially in the first and last movie. EDIT Also, in case anybody missed them (which is extremely likley), Yusuke Kozaki has uploaded some FE13 fan art on his Twitter account (about 4 at the moment). Agro
Jesus, Vince, for a moment I thought you were going announce an FE movie. thank god
VincentASM
I think a FE CG movie could be rather nice, but I doubt Nintendo would have the budget or interest : P
Elieson
Well, who put out FF: Spirits Within?
sunshineYON
I'd rather see a traditional anime if one were to exist. I like the OVA a lot more than it merits, I've seen it like 4 times.
H-Bastaki
why can't I work with them ;____; this is awesome!
Cory Halavan
Well, who put out FF: Spirits Within? Square Pictures and it killed it from being a cash drain.
Airship Canon
I'm gonna be the oddball and say a live action FE movie by some Hollywood big-shot would be pretty epic. Of course, to not kill what they're working with- they don't have many options-- most FEs are just too long (ESPECIALLY the Radiance games) for any type of movie (Live action, CG or otherwise). FE8 could work-- they could cut huge chunks out of that game and still effectively not change ANYTHING- and it's short enough to boot. Another good option is Genealogy- which, if they did it right, could yield itself to two great movies (with the obvious split being the obvious split), of course, due to the way the first would end, they'd absolutely have to have a stinger (the obvious choice- post credits, cut to Celice), or people are gonna be ****ed off like none other (Shooting the Shaggy Dog does not end well, but if you pull an anticlimax ending with a stinger-sequel hook (and ideally, a quick release to the second movie), who knows.)... As another bonus, most wouldn't have a DAMN clue what Genealogy was either- so when they inevitably cut things- less people will be *****ing... (no it'd be people like me, who'd be angry they cut out Holyn (again) (On the other hand, a lack of Arden, Alec, or Noishe wouldn't be an issue).) Rothene
I would find it hard to take a live action FE movie seriously if they wore their clothes with accurate colour scheme. Not to mention some of their hair colour, those are some of the most defining traits of the characters. Can you imagine a non-blue haired Ike or Hector or Marth?! And how terrible it would be if they actually dyed the actor's hair blue?! Plus cavalier of varied armour colour charging to battle would look hilarious on a live action movie. I'd rather anime style or CG since it let's them retain their colour identities. FE's too colourful for our dull, rigid, conforming world. (Yes, CG would have to be mixed in, but assuming it can be pulled off-- look at something like that terrible movie "Avatar" (No, not Last Airbender)) Live action would hardly limit color identity. (And for a note, I could imagine a non-blue haired Marth... considering his hair isn't that saturated anyways)
Agro
Yes, but to be fair, the characters in Avatar are non-human and are completely made of CG. A live-action FE movie just wouldn't work, I think. None of the plots are nearly complex or short enough to warrant being a decent movie. Not to mention half the worlds are fairly poorly developed.
