I didn't become a muscle specialist in 3 attempts time I started studying anatomy around 14 so that's 7 years time practicing very often at muscles and I'm still far from perfect art in general takes a lot of practice Plus, when it comes down to it, human beings are pretty weird looking. In your complete avatar it doesn't help that you only get a tiny hint of some nude-color briefs. I was aware that there's been people who've done edgy avatars and signatures before, think yours is has been one of the most open-ended in a while (like I said, zero context and he just has a kind of angry look, could be anything). I'm not into naked men. >.> Also, blame the official artist for giving Ike beige colored pants, not me. I made the sprite because I'm into muscular men and I think Ike is super hot in RD. Can I just enjoy him peacefully? :( I'll be fixing up this sprite some more eventually anyway. Maybe I can somehow make the pants look more obvious too. Right now it's like on top of his pants and it kinda DOES make him look like he's in his birthday suit...except for the headband... "No officer I am NOT naked, I have my headband on." *shot* This thread is getting kinda entertaining, what does Cthulhu have to do with anything though lol. The headbandless version I made is supposed to be from a scene where Ike is about to go to bed. I don't think he'd wear a belt to bed. So, for now, I suppose I'll post my rejected entry for the creatures battle sprite contest (I still don't like that it was rejected, but it wouldn't have been able to compete with the other entries anyway. The others were just REALLY incredible). This is a new color of dragon laguz that appears in my main fic, Dawn of Darkness. Nyarla is currently the only blue dragon in existence and is the princess of Orenias. Blue dragons have only appeared among the females of her bloodline. She can promote to the Sapphire Dragon class. Btw, the design of my dragon laguz sprites is meat to be a sort of combination of how the dragons looked in PoR and how they looked in RD (they actually looked a little different in RD for some reason... :P). Ice would be more fitting though, water...well, anybody can get a mouthful of water and spit it out. Or it could be like Pokemon where they can create lots of water and spit/shoot it with a lot of power. There's actually a few Spyro games where he has water/bubble breath...but neither one is that impressive. The water breath in A Hero's Tail only works on enemies made out of fire and is used to solve a few puzzles. The bubble breath in Enter the Dragonfly's only purpose is to capture the baby dragonflies you have to get throughout the game. I HAD considered ice, but we already saw that with Ninian in Elibe, and I wanted to try something different. No, there isn't a male-only color. Idk...or you can go the pokemon route and make her a water dragon. Water breath powerful enough to punch through steel/like a pressure hose. NobodiePichu Posted March 8, 2015 Share Posted March 8, 2015 as far as fireemblem related trends go white dragon laguz seem more based on divine dragons so im guessing there light based attacks, though i remember the in game description calling the white dragon breath being icy but eh. red is obvs based on fire dragons so they have fire breath, and the black dragons seem to be based either on earth dragons or dark dragons considering there the strongest dragons in the games lore. therefore a blue dragon would make sense as the representation of the ice dragons so yeah. . . ice dragon laguz would make the most sense. I've never been especially fond of the dragon laguz design so i don't really have any thing to say about it. i will say that the wings look like there directly ripped from the dragon lord battle sprite, so it might be worth it to custom the wings to better match the ones in the radiance series, but in this case id say it would be fine either way, it just might make it look better i don't know. though the untransformed state looks rather plain, if that's what its suppose to look like then okay but it doesn't really have much of a royal flair to it. that and the pose is kinda poring, maybe try to give it a different angle for the body but eh whatever. And like I said, I don't want to make this character too similar to Ninian design-wise (she's already a blue dragon and has blue hair and a blue outfit), so an ice dragon is out of the question. I also just realized that the new dancer girl in FEIf looks a lot like this character, even though I came up with Nyarla a long time ago, including her color scheme. How should I pose the untransformed sprite? I don't see what else she could be doing besides just standing there... I will probably update her outfit in the future though, you're right that it doesn't look very royal/regal yet. I haven't come up with a final design for Nyarla's human form, so yeah. It's probably a bit big, but this is how it ended up. xP I still used some FE sprite colors though, and actually kept to 16 colors for the contest purpose (not counting the bg color).
