I've heard of game giving tips on how to beat it, but this is ridiculous. And knowing my luck, my first encounter in the Virbank Complex won't be with Magnemite, or even Growlithe. I'd be happy with either.

And here's our first encounter for this area... Elekid and Magnemite... Fuck, Integrity and Specta are in front...

I should return Integ. VSing two electric types is risky shit. But Specta is fast enough to KO the Elekid surely, and I'm sure Magnemite can't OHKO Integ.

Wrong...

Not only does Elekid attack first, but it put's Integ's HP down to about 55%.

Magnemite's Thundershock deals the finishing blow...

This challenge just got a lot more interesting.

You have no idea how bad I feel... 8[ You'd think your starter would at least survive the whole game. It was totally my fault.

At the time I felt like ragequitting, but I think this situation is somewhat salvageable.

Anyway, at least you got a Magnemite. That'll help. A lot.

Steel types with Sturdy can be really helpful~

So yeah, I guess the situation's salvageable.

I fucked up and lost all my screenshots between beating the second gym and beating Team Plasma in Castelia sewers.

Key points:

  • Defeated the Plasma members at the dock with Roxie and Hugh.
  • Found and defeated the Plasma that got away.
  • Went to Pornkestar Studios and got Roxie's dad back to his boat.
  • Made a questionable film.
  • Was on a boat.
  • Went all around Castelia and its buildings before going to the gym, but alas the gym leader was missing.
  • Iris appeared and lead me to the sewers.
  • With Hugh on my team, we ran into a double wild battle against two Rattatas. I caught the female one and named her Horace.
  • Deal with it.
  • Beat Plasma in the sewers.

And this is where we continue.

1. Why not just enforce the rule that Revives and items aren't allowed?

It'll make the game much harder that way.

That would add to the challenge without having to make your Pokemon sad by releasing them. In truth THEY DON'T ALLOW THESE IN COMPETITIVE PLAY, THE BATTLE ARENA, PWT, OR BY VERSING YOUR FRIENDS ONLINE
