Inheriting skills

If a character hasn't learned a skill yet, can their child still inherit the skill? For example, if Olivia is a dark flier and she hasn't learned the skill Galeforce yet, will her son Inigo still inherit it?

Besides Chrom who gives his children a set skill, the parent has to actually have the skill to pass it down.

No, Olivia has to have the skill in order for Inigo to inherit it, since it's a Dark Flier skill and obviously Inigo can't reclass into that.

Specifically, the last skill they have equipped is the one that will pass down. That's the last skill in their list of skills when you start the paralogue, not when it's unlocked.

To add to this, if you have 5+ skills, the skill in which is passed down can be identified as the skill in the center of the "Skill Block".
