It's just that the levels of intense devotion sometimes expressed on this subject can sometimes be a wee bit annoying.

Well, I can understand a player's devotion to their hubby/wifey in the game, to be honest. Yes, it's possible for someone to take that a LITTLE too far, but being really devoted honestly isn't a bad thing at all. Your Avatar is essentially yourself being placed in the game, and because of this, I feel more connected to the characters than I ever had in any other video game (even RD and PoR, yes). And when you see that one special character you decide to have your Avatar marry, most probably the first character you ever had them marry, I can imagine a lot of players feeling an even stronger connection and form of attachment with that character than the others.

Take it from me. When I first saw Frederick, I thought "Ooh, he is SO cute!" Then when I actually saw him in-game for the first time, which was in the demo, it didn't take long for me to pick him for my Avatar's hubby and I already started growing attached to him. Finding out that the female Avatar calls him Freddy Bear only gave me more reason to go with that decision. lol Now I can't bear to have her marry anyone else! Frederick is not just the first character I had an Avatar marry, he was the first character I grew fond of at all.

I won't go on again about why I like him and this pairing so much since I've done so too many times already, but I think you all understand my point here. ;)

I'm sorry, what? I don't see the avatar as myself being in the game actually. Even if I support FeMU/Chrom. I guess I'm a minority in that view though.

Anyway, the first and then second in the poll. My avatar will always marry Chrom and male avatar will always marry Olivia (unless I feel like doing ChromxMaiden, then Sumia).

So, Mr.Shadowofchaos/Rey... Your favourite waifu is also your favourite prostitute? Well, I didn't marry Olivia first playthrough because of her personality...

Say'ri and Tiki are personal favourites for me in the waifu department. Also, I like Lucina. Passing down Aether or Rightful King is good, but she only has a pretty face... The rest is woefully flat.

Picture it... Lucina face+Tharja body...
