To be honest, I don't really think I'll be using Liz at this rate. I've actually intended to, once, so Libra gets a waifu, but her progress is really slow at this pace- And even if I do grant her the priviliges of heals each turn, she'll be around Maribelle's level by Ch.5 at best.

As insignificant as it may be, I feel the need to post an update at this one as I spent a long time trying to figure this one out...to my failure. );

Chapter 3

ANYWAY

Since I had a hard time trying to figure out a 3-turn that didn't require me to have a strong Avatar, I just went with my usual strategy.

Frederick started off by pairing to Stahl (initially meant so he can ferry him with that neat 8 Mov) and he killed off one of the closer Archers (the one without the Door Key). Chrom recruited Kellam, gave Kellam to Raven and Raven gave him to Vaike and Paired Up with Sumia. Sumia moved in at one of the Soldier's range while staying away from the Archer. Vaike went to the East side and killed off everything there, thanks to that sexy +5 Def Kellam afforded.

Chrom killed the boss thanks to Frederick's help and not a single Javelin has been wasted.

Unit Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res Class
Chrom 3.70 21 8 1 10 9 6 9 3 Lordling
Raven 5.30 22 6 7 7 11 6 6 6 Tactician
Frederick 3.56 30 14 2 13 12 7 14 4 Great Knight
Liz 1.80 base Cleric
Vaike 4.50 30 10 0 9 7 5 6 0 Fighter
Sumia 1.53 18 6 3 11 11 8 5 7

4 turns.

I'm sure I'll get more consistent updates after the earlier chapters.

in my playlog here, I paired Lissa and Libra to underwhelming success. Lissa just kind of drags back whoever she's paired pre premotion, and she's not exactly priority number one for a promotion. Libra doesn't really need the stats she gives anyway, unless he reclasses, which I doubt you'll do.

LOOK WHO'S BACK :awesome:

I apologize for my lack of updates in the past two days. My Internet was being mean. :(: ...by anyway, I actually used that time rather decently and have played through alot.

Here it is!

Paralogue 1 - Donnie

Really straight-forward chapter. I just blazed through the closest opening with Frederick (Paired with Stahl for extra Mov and +1 Spd/2 Str) while trying to waste the least amount of Javelin uses possible. Meanwhile, I also used it as a small sort of training grounds for Vaike, Chrom, Raven- And most importantly, Sumia (I forged her a +2 Mt Iron forge, she paired with Raven). In the end, the chapter went on rather smoothly, and Frederick only wasted around 6-7 uses of Javelin (which he'll need for the next two chapters) and I didn't bother with the treasure for the sake of saving 1 turn.

Current funds: 2118 (A forge for Sumia and Str/Def Tonics)

Chapter 4

This chapter is also a really quick chapter: Sent in Frederick to kill about 80% of the enemies- Although the difficulty on this one comes in, once again, the amount of Javelin uses he needs to save for the next chapter. And that is why Chrom will also be helping out inmensely as a backup unit with his new brandished +2 Mt Rapier forge (since Frederick doesn't 1RKO the Knights even with an Str tonic. And of course, the remaining units just kill of a Fighter on each side, and Raven one of the Mages he lured.

Chapter 5

Chrom-Frederick support has upgraded to B and Raven and Sumia have started a support ©.

Frederick went up the mountain with his Pocket Chrom and did what he does best (at this point of the game, anyway), and thanks to Chrom's help, he managed to slay the boss (thanks to that sweet Falchion). Raven and Sumia went up as well and then turned Left covering up that Fort from preventing that one Hand Axe enemy from coming out. I had Vaike (with Lon'qu's support) kill off the enemies at the Left side and had Stahl drop Liz by the Fort to prevent enemies from coming out.

I'm impressed Liz even got to this level...

Current funds: Uhh, I kinda forgot, but looking at the notes I left, it seemed to be around 1000~G .-.

Paralogue 2

So before the chapter, I sold off that Bullion (M) I got because I was going broke. And it turns out that I forgot to retrieve the Hand Axe from the previous chapter because I didn't even let him spawn. *sigh* But I doubt it was much to fret about, so I kept going.

For this chapter, I've deployed both Lon'qu and Stahl because Lon'qu could kill or weaken off enemies for Vaike (paired with Maribelle) to kill since Vaike was handling the first isle mostly (Lon'qu could double every Barbarian with Stahl's help, otherwise he was falling 1 AS short. He 1RKO'd the Archers with the Killing Edge). Sumia and Raven traveled a Reverse-"L" path up to the village to help out Anna and well, the village. Chrom and Frederick went for the boss and his mooks.

Saved the village in time.

Chapter 6

Raven and Sumia upgraded to a B-support.

Sumia (paired with Raven), Vaike (with Maribelle and Lon'qu went down the South-East corridor. Sumia did most of the heavy-lifting and it payed of really well, as Sumia is becoming quite strong at this point. Vaike also got some of the action, and Lon'qu only got left-overs. Frederick solo'd the opposite corridor and I managed to recruit Gaius and retrieve the Secret Book in time. When Panne arrived, I purposely deployed Kellam because Panne was falling short of 1RKO'ing enemies and to aid her Def a bit. She managed to get a full level-up.

Sumia got the boss kill because she wanted it the most.

It's possible to 3-turn this chapter, but it requires either a very strong Avatar or a moderately strong Avatar (still able to solo-mode, by the way) that is able to 4HKO Validar, and one of those hits needs to be a critical (you'll either be wasting a ton of money on a +Mt/Crit. forge or be relying on extreme BS luck there, however).

4 turns.

Chapter 7

Vaike and Maribelle built a support and Raven and Sumia hit an A-support.

This chapter took me alot of more tries than it was even theorized...it mostly required having Sumia dodge ONE out of 3 Wyvern hits and then having the Avatar survive the mosh-pit of enemies in the middle of the map (enemies who have rather low Hitrates on him) and he would 1RKO back (Elwind was a big one here, being 1 point short of 1RKO the boss). Gaius paired with Chrom so Chrom could take advantage of the extra Spd and double (and thereby 1RKO) axe-wielding enemies and the Wyvern Riders with Falchion.

In the end, I actually managed to pull a 2-turn (something that I wouldn't even think possible with my kind of resources and settings), but in exchange, I didn't even get a level on Panne...

Paralogue 3

Chrom and Gaius built a support.

I sold off that one Bullion (M) I got on the last chapter. Turns out I had to wait out a few hours on this chapter because I was short on Str Tonics (surprise surprise) and I needed at least one for Vaike so he could 1HKO the Peggies. at the West side...so that's what I did.

Sumia and Raven killed of the closest Knight (the one with the Javelin) and then flew towards the boss. Once again, I deploy Lon'qu along with Cordelia, who flew down to the South to take out a Fighter and a Mercenary down there (what sucked was having to restart sometimes to have 8 AS Fighters, otherwise Lon'qu can't double at base, which can mean a 1RKO many times thanks to Killing Edge). Cordelia would drop him off on Turn 1 and leave him at the Fighter's range. Maribelle ferried Vaike down the South-West and then switched to the very Vaike himself to take them out. Once again, Gaius paired up to Chrom so Chrom could double and 1RKO everything but that one Mercenary at the Left corner. I tried getting Panne (with Frederick) a few kills, but she still isn't lvl 10...

Note: I managed to get the Bright Bow, for whatever's worth (a few pennies, I guess...)

Chapter 8

Raven and Sumia hit an S-support and got married. Talking about books nets you incredibly beautiful and insecure clumsy girls :smug: And Frederick and Panne start a support.

Apparently you can 3-turn this thing with a broken Peggie. Avatar, but that could probably (really unsure about this one)

mean not getting a Second Seal (which I doubt you'll actually need at that point of sheer LTC)...

Anyway, the chapter was most dominated by, surprise surprise- Fliers. I had Sumia and Cordelia (my only two Fliers) head down South. Sumia mostly took care of some enemies, and then switched to Raven on the last turn so he could take care of the boss and his sorroundings. Cordelia (paired with Kellam) would mostly be in charge of retrieving the Second Seal, while Nowi (paired with Gregor) went for the Master Seal and Panne (staying around the Center of the map) took out some left-overs while Vaike (still at the top) got a few enemies.

Chrom (with Gaius' aid) got me a Rescue staff.

Paralogue 4 - Anna!

I felt the need to deploy 9001 unit in this map, and that's how it's going to be for every map to come, pretty much.

I tried to use this chapter as a training ground not only for the obvious, but also for Panne, Vaike and even Nowi. So I had to choose my positioning carefully and manage the two Door Keys and one Chest Key I had laying in the Convoy. So Sumia and Panne took a Door Key each and Cordelia took the only Chest Key.

Cordelia needed an Str tonic to 1RKO the Archers and (sometimes) Fighters. She ferried Gaius up to the closest Chest, and in the meantime, he also afforded her the extra Spd she needed to double (she was really borderline on enemies), Panne (with Frederick) followed up the same path up to the Chest at the North. Libra would go up the opposite side and up the opened door (courtesy of Anna) and be Rescue-Drop chained (along with Anna) up to the top. Libra got the boss kill and Anna reached the Arms Scroll Chest just in time.

Note: This chapter went on really smoothly once I figured out in appropriate strategy to get everything done. I didn't even bother with the Mend staff.

I use the Arms Scroll on- Wait, you thought I'd be using it on Panne, with her E-rank Axes? No, of course not! How about you use it on Maribelle, out of all people. Isn't that a great idea. I have a plan.

So yeah, after that, this chapter is really really quick.

Sumia (with Frederick's Pair-Up because +1 Mov) and Anna's Rescue shenanigans (whom by the way, got ferried by Cordelia) went up to confront the boss. The rest of the team would mostly concentrate on gaining Exp as well as killing of the Thieves at range.

Note: Managed to get a Bullion (M), a Master Seal and a Wyrmslayer (don't really care about this one, though). Panne got around 3 level-ups and Maribelle spammed Ward/Physic or Rescue whenever she had the chance (although I could only use 1 of the latter since I needed it for the next chapter).

Chapter 11

LIBRA and Panne built a support. Gregor and Nowi hit B-support.

Initially, I thought of wasting an Extra turn on having Olivia Dance Chrom for two of those turns (apparently that's all they need to marry)- But that would cost Panne an important EP as well as, well, a turn. I actually tried this out once, and Chrom still married to the Generic Maiden. Turns out I couldn't really give much and ended up going with my tradition of having Chrom married that one person that nobody knows.

I thought of having LIBRA (with Panne's aid) take out about half the enemies of the map, but Panne really needed those levels and LIBRA wasn't that strong yet. So Anna Rescue'd Sumia (with Raven) so they could get enough Mov to be in range of Gangrel and most of his mooks by Turn 1. Panne (with Frederick) got to the area filled with Mercenaries and Barbarians by Turn 1, attacking the Hero. All thanks to Olivia (who got ferried by Cordelia). Nowi (with Gregor) got what she could reguarding Exp.

Note: I got the Levin Sword, which boosts Anna's offense dramatically. Unfortunately, their uses are very limited and I will have to use them sparringly.

Chapter 12

It sucks how Panne was only less than 50 Exp from promoting, at the start of the chapter. Because of that, it caused me a Dance (which I could've used to get Cherche more of the action). But it payed out alot, as I want to get Deliverer on Panne as quick as possible. I fed Libra the Angelic Robe and the Dracoshield I had laying around at the Convoy so he could survive the horde at the South-West side and kill most of them. Sumia and Raven took care of the enemies that weren't in the suicide reach towards Panne, which were the enemies at the North-West corner before the boat. The others, such as Cherche, Maribelle and Nowi (but mostly the first two) concentrated on getting as much Exp as they could. Anna killed one of the Knights (with the Levin Sword, Anna's offense is pretty damn good).

Note: It's ridiculous, but Panne is already catching up to Sumia and is much more mounstrous at this point already (she actually was kind of before it as well...) and she's less than 30 Exp away from getting Deliverer.

And LIBRA is starting to live up to my expectations (not that I could ever expect less from him, anyway).

its actually possible to three turn chapter 6 (that is the emmeryn defence right?) with just Fred!Sumia, although you're not doing that, so I guess it doesn't apply

good read so far

ANNNND I'm back. I apologize for the lack of updates. I currently don't have Internet access at home (strangely enough, Skype does work) So I'm posting this from a friend's house.

I've been playing alot, but I try not to go too fast as to not make so many huge updates.

Anyway, as you can see. Resuming my journey since my last update, I won't be using Lucy- And no, it's not because she's daughter of a generic mother and a mediocre Chrom, it's just that I have other characters in mind.

Paralogue 12 - Morgan
Ah, Paralogue 12.Here we recruit my neglected "daughter"...not that I have any plans to actually use Morgan- At least not very seriously. She sure has her uses, though.
And as you can see, I feel like taking this chapter a bit slowly. With my current resources, I suppose I could 2-turn at best, but my goal here is to train my weaker units and try to get as much loot as I can. Priorities here were on Cherche and Henry.
Sumia ferries Raven over to Morgan and recruits her, Sumia then Rally Movs her so she can get to the rest of my team and Rally Mov. them back (yep no galeforce). Panne ferries Libra over to the horde of enemies in the North (namely the Mage squad) and Sumia and Raven later head up to the North, up to the boss and killing a few enemies along the way. I actually wanted to get Raven some Exp here, as he's a tad underleveled for what he should be. The rest of my team (barring The Vaike) kind of struggle their way up, as enemies here are relatively strong...but as tradition, I tend to this chapter as soon as available. I manage to get Henry to level-ups. Cherche didn't really get much...but she'll have her chance. Right now, getting Henry up a bit is kind of important.

The chapter went kind of well, 4-turns as I aimed, although I'm sure I could've 3-turned it with my desired conditions (The Bullion M is easy to get and the Fortify staff is mostly retrieved by killing the Thief or using one of your own, something I wouldn't waste a slot on).
Note: Anna (paired with Morgan) got me the Bullion M at the other side.
- Maribelle reached lvl.10. You'll see what I had in mind.
- I actually brought in Gaius (and paired him to Nowi) to help get the loot, but he really didn't do anything, and Nowi only chipped stuff.
- Nowi got her first Skill proc. -_-

Chapter 15

Maribelle took the SSeal and re-classed to Peggie. :awesome:

And this is where Henry comes in and actually does something. Something useful- Not without the cause of a showering of resources (just a bit, really. tonics, Master Seal).

Henry paired up with Sumia and went to the part that had the most Knights in them. I could literally press start and go like OMG WHERE DID ALL THE ENEMIES GO. And that's what did happen to most of the enemies. Hooray for hilarious game-breaking mechanics. Hooray for Nosferatu and Dark Flier bonuses. MEANWHILE, I need to get Maribelle some Exp, so I have Cherche (paired with Gregor for Spd/Def) soften a General for her so Maribelle could kill the General (courtesy of Vaike Dual Hammertime) and send the newly obtained Hammer to the Convoy (she had her Inventory filled with junk) so Frederick could later go to Chrom, retrieve and pair up with Panne. LIBRA, His Eminence, would head to the beach along with Raven and warp Panne further so she could reach the boss on Turn 1 of my own Phase, so I could later have her go down the beach and stomp everything else there. Cherche got me a Bullion (L) and even got herself some kills thanks to Gregor's bonuses (she 1RKO'd Cavalier and Knights with a Hammer).

Note: Anna Rescue'd Say'ri off danger, by the way.

- Henry only needs 1 Spd proc, Spd Tonic and a Dark Flier support to be able to double and thereby 1RKO most enemies. I had him use a tonic for -every stat barring Str, and he helped out alot (not that Sumia couldn't have done it, but Henry would come out unscratched)

- For Maribelle who happens to be underleveled at this point, every single kill counts. I tried stretching her Exp gain as much as I could.

Chapter 16

This chapter is mainly about getting Maribelle some Exp. Everything else just goes along smoothly, and it turns out I don't need to use a Spirit Dust on Anna for more Rescue range. Morgan took part in this, as she gave my whole squad extra Mov.. I brought in two staff users (LIBRA & Anna), and Cordelia and Sumia helped ferrying them over.

Basically:

Cordelia ferried Anna up to Rescue Sumia (who was carrying LIBRA) > LIBRA Rescue'd Panne and it went down Double Hammertime as both Frederick and Panne had Hammers just in case Cervantes was being too hard to crack open, thanks to Pavise.

Note:

- Maribelle got me a Speedwings and Cherche got me a Bullion (M), both coming from Thieves.

- At this point, I've kind of decided to train Chrom a bit. He has a fight coming (not very soon, though...) and I need him to ne somewhat competent. He paired up with Say'ri for extra Spd and +1 Str he needed to 2HKO a Barbarian with a Silver Sword.

My Internet is back 100% this time. This means I'll bombard you guys with updates. :awesome:

Chapter 17

Just when I was about to settle with the pre-destined 100% assured 3-turn strategy, I came up with a random, yet creative strategy to 2-turn without the likes of Galeforce. An important key to this chapter was to have Panne have 33 AS to double the boss, as well as an extra +1 Mov, which meant she needed to Pair Up with Gaius (Frederick only gives off +1 Spd, sadly).

You know how this map has your team divded into three sections? VaikexMaribelle, AnnaxMorgan and Olivia took on the West side hall; HenryxCherche, FrederickxCordelia and Sumia on the opposite hall and PannexGaius, Libra (later to be aided by a Pocket Frederick, mainly for extra Mov.) and Chrom.

So Frederick pairs up to Cordelia and affords her just enough Mov. to have her go over to the center team blockade, give Frederick to Libra and Pair Up to Chrom just like IS she intended. Sumia would come over to the center as well and Rally Mov. . Panne moves up, and LIBRA follows using his awesome 8 Mov. and proceeds to Rescue Sumia over. Chrom moves to the West and dumpsdrops Cordelia to the left. Meanwhile, on the West side hall, I have Anna weaken a Hero for Maribelle to kill (Maribelle does 0 Dmg. and like 1-2 Dmg with a Tonic, but she only gets the kill thanks to Vaike's Dual-Up) and form a wall forbidding the enemies from hurting Olivia. Olivia is used to Dance Vaike so he can move forward and equip a Killer Axe (which would help by 1RKO'ing the War Monk. Come Turn 2, and this is where it gets funny:

Olivia Pairs Up to Cordelia, and is warped over to that one narrow hall. Sumia Rally Moves this pack once more, and Panne moves forward, is Danced by Olivia and then proceeds to 1RKO the boss.

Notes:

- Anna is pretty badass...she manages to 1RKO Heroes with the Levin Sword (and thereby any enemies she can double that doesn't have much Res) with a Magic Tonic and 27 AS (achieved by Morgan Pair Up, in this case).

- I forgot to mention it, but Henry handled the East hall thanks to Ruin shenanigans (as he was durable enough with Cherche and a Def tonic). He reached lvl.5 and attained Vengeance. gr9

- That one Valkyrie boss chick is...rather badass. At least in appearance. She also kind of reminds me of LIBRA. Could it be that they are related?

2 turns.
I took a halt on Ch.18 and decided to head to Paralogue Yarne (evem though it didn't feel like time yet, considering Panne wasn't that great yet). Panne needed more AS to double Yen'fay (ironically, she only came 1 AS short with a Spd tonic and Anna's +5 Spd Pair Up, so I didn't have much of a choice...
Paralogue 13 - Yarne

I am presented with two options- And I decide to create a third. I decided to fight both armies. This would bring a great challenge, as I needed to level-up Sumia, and Vaike certainly needed a few as well. Panne only really needed one, for Spd mostly.

The biggest burden in this chapter would come in Sumia's survivability. She would get 2HKO'd by Generals (barring the ones with Spears, that dealt 20 Dmg.), Wind Sages and the ocassional Swordfaire!Swordmasters (they would all have around 55% Hit on her, IIRC). The good thing, however, is that most of these enemies wouldn't go over the 40s% hitrates, but the enemy density and their high Atk made it hard for her. Luckily, I didn't have to restart a ton to get this right.

This is where The Vaike shows his worth more than anything. He'd have to handle most of the cavalry, so I had to prepare him well for the task, equipping him with two Mx Mt Hand Axe forges (these ones cost me dearly on my funds ;~;), Str/Skill/Spd/Def tonics, a Secret Book and a Pocket Chrom (who took and Str tonic himself) equipped with a lightly forged Mt Rapier (+1 Mt). He's not at too much risk here, as the hardest-hitting enemies (Valkyries, hitting 20~ Dmg) have hitrates in the 40s% and it gets alot better once he gets Sol.

The rest of my team (LIBRA, Anna, Morgan, Maribelle, Cherche and Henry) would be there for backup and for looting villages (a task mostly assigned to high Mov. units like Cherche, Maribelle, Morgan and Anna). LIBRA spammed Physic and the very ocassional Rescue to get as much as Exp as he could, and Anna would use the Rescue staff more sparringly, mostly only when necessary.

Notes:

- This one chapter took a huge blow on my funds. Luckily, I could get alot of it back towards the end, thanks to a Bullion (L) I got, and I got a Dracoshield and an Energy Drop in the villages, in the end. I don't think the Hammer and the Beastkiller are much to talk about, but I'll keep them, just in case.

- Sumia took a tonic for everything barring Str and used most of the Archthunder tome. The latter had pretty good Mt and had her with 30%~ Crit. chances.

- Panne took just a few kills and then went for the boss, who I couldn't have 1RKO'd had Frederick not obtained an Str level up and didn't have the Beastkiller equipped (Panne left him at 18 HP with Hand Axes and Frederick surprised me with that last hit).

- Yarne inherited Luna from Frederick and Deliverer from Panne.

- Oh yeah, The Vaike got a whooping 8 levels in this chapter and achieved Sol around mid-chapter.

Chapter 18
I promoted Cherche to a Griffon Rider for the first time. I've always felt rather respectful for her relationship with Minerva, but this actually looks rather nice- And fitting (I also happened to prefer the better-rounded stats).

Since this is but another very quick chapter, I take what I can and try to get my underleveled units, Maribelle and Henry as much Exp as I can get them in one Phase. Panne just does her thing, reaching Yen'fay thanks to Rescue/Dancing shenanigans.

Notes:

- Even though Panne was doubling at this point (with Anna and a Spd tonioc), she was only seeing 70% Hit on Yen'fay (again, WITH a Skill/Luck tonic) and cleanly 2HKO'ing with Steel and an Str tonic.

- Re-classed Yarne to a Wyern Rider.

- Yes, Henry is a Thief. What the hell am I doing.

Paralogue 17 - Tiki

This chapter is pretty annoying if you don't have Galeforce, an overall competent team (you know, with people who can 1RKO on Player Phase), or without doing what I did. Having enemies spawn at each turn and basically forcing you to build a wall around Tiki and waiting for them to attack you is awful, so I did something only I would do...

I literally threw in Tiki into the enemies to get killed.

Yes.

I had Libra Rescue her to enemy range (the Pegs. at the left) and had her die on Turn 1 Enemy Phase. With this strategy, the enemies will just be forced to attack, making it much faster.

SumiaxRaven went down the South (mostly to get Sumia some Exp), VaikexMaribelle and Anna, Libra and Chrom to the left and PannexYarne and HenryxCherche to the right.

Annnnnd, yeah.

I'm a terrible person. ;~;

Note:

- Re-classed Panne to Wyern Lord.

Chapter 19

I don't know why people seem to dislike Valm arc. I know that it (apparently) wasn't neccesary for the story to go through this, but Walhart just so happens to be such a magnificent character. As such, he happens to be one of my favorites.

Anyway, I had to promote Frederick to Paladin here, kind of wasting a Second Seal on a pocket unit like him, but it was only because Panne wasn't doubling Walhart (if she did, with Anna, it was for petty damage and only 19% Crit. with a Killer Axe), so I was basically forced at this point because my Panne is weak- At least for what Panne should be at this point.

Oh lawd, why did I even re-classed he to Wyern Lord. ;A;

Paralogue 9 - CYNTHIA

Once again, I must make a stop at a Paralogue to get Panne some Exp and recruit Cynthia, DADDY'S LITTLE HURL X).

Vaike (once again with Pocket Chrom, equipped with a Killer this time) hid in the bushes nearby to the left, out of Cynthia's range. Sumia and Raven move up to the North, and Sumia switches to Raven. Panne goes up with Frederick to kill off the Chrom impersonator. Cherche (with Pocket Henry) actually manage to surprise me with the few kills they get, making Cherche kind of viable in combat now...

Turn 2, considering Vaike with a Hand Axe was leaving very few enemies alive and with very few HP, I left them for Cynthia to feed on, and get a level off each of them. Neat. Panne would kill the boss and net me, surprise surprise, another Bullion (L).

I guess this game really does throw money around as if it grew on trees...

Notes:

- DADDY'S LITTLE GURL IS ADORABLE

- What do you, Raven actually got a few, rather neat, level-ups.

- Go Griffon Rider!Cherche.

Kudos for taking on both armies in Yarne's paralogue. I always found it worthwhile to do so, because you get all the villages, and also a sweet 10,000 G bonus at the end of the chapter. Pretty sweet.

CYNTHIA! MY WIFE.

I really want to try getting Sumia to Galeforce now without any use of skirmishes and grinding. CURSE YOU FOR INSPIRING ME.

Yes really. Her durability and offense are shit after like Chapter 12, even with Frederick. Her offense isn't as bad as her really stupidly bad durabilty, but it pales in comparison to stuff like Panne, Cherche, Cordelia and Stahl/Sully.

You're making it sound like Sumia's terrible later on in the game, which isn't true in the slightest. Sure, her STR and DEF growths aren't as good as Cordelia's, but it doesn't mean she'll never have a chance to gain those stats. 45% STR isn't too brilliant in FE13, but it's still fairly dependable. And I'd say a Frederick Pair Up DOES help her out. The STR and DEF he provides are rather nice, aren't they?

45% is far from reliable. Never has been. And 30% def is lol. The reason so many people think she's so good is because they get lucky with her. She really isn't anything special on average.

She's good because if you know what you're doing, she and Frederick smash a good portion of the earlygame, especially during Chapters 5, 8, 9, and 10, as well as some others down the road. Having a 45% STR growth doesn't mean it'll never grow, y'know. It's not like enemies during the earlygame are impossible for Sumia to kill. She only really has to worry about bows, Rexcalibur, and generals with axes later on.

I don't understand why you think she's overrated, when she really isn't. :/

Yes, but she is only good for that short-term period, after that, it all depends on how she grew. A lot of people make it sound like she's some invincible juggernaut of destruction, but her offense does take a hit starting in Chapter 12 in my experience. She's definetely not the best character after Avatar as people like Olwen would say.

EDIT: Hell, drafts first pick her for some odd reason that I still don't understand. It's not like her things aren't replicable in earlygame. Even Chapter 7 can be 2 turned without her with a Rescue charge from even the worst magic rescuers like Maribelle and Lissa. Sully can also replicate it and since Sumia isn't allowed Galeforce in drafts, Deliverers are much better later on. Especially Chapter 23, which is a pain with Sumia.

Panne's the best character in the game after the Avatar and after Cynthia, IMO, but eh.

I find it odd how you attack Sumia and praise Cordelia, when she's kinda in the same boat.

EDIT: I firstpick Sumia because of Cynthia. Kinda obvious coming from me. :P

Last update for the day- Err, new day. It's currently 4 a.m. Time sure flies by when your watching Avengers.

Chapter 20

Fuck. This. Shit.

Here we are, at the last of the Valm Arc. and what as well could be considered, the ending of midgame and the beggining of lategame.

This chapter is quite enemy-dense, but not as much as they are scattered across the halls and this is but a nightmare for Sumia, who just so happens to get 2HKO'd by everyone and their mother (Snipers normally 1HKO her, but with HP/Def tonics, she manages to live with like...3-4 HP). It didn't help that my Panne wasn't completely ready to take up arms as solo mode, as Sages were a huge threat (Rexcalibur-wielding Sages dealt 47 Dmg), and unlike Sumia, she lacked Galeforce and good 2-range (and by "good 2-range" I really mean "can deal a great chunk of Dmg. on Walhart with decent hitrates"). An important thing for preparations to note is that I had Sumia buy a new Archthunder tome and forge it for +6 Crit., that way she's facing 37% Crit. on generics and 30~% on Excellus and Walhart).

I promoted Cynthia ASAP on this one so she can be of use. Her stats were passable, anyway. I had her go Falcoknight because I saw her best fit as a physical-based combatant and I could very well use an extra warper- With Galeforce, no less. Another important priority here is to get Henry and Maribelle important Exp. LIBRA as well, but he's very close to lvl.15.

Henry (with Pocket Cherche Hammertime) took on the Generals on the left corner. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, Anna would soften up the Generals for Maribelle (once again, with Vaike Dual Strike Hammertime) to feed on. On the center, I would have Morgan Rally Mov. Yarne (who had Cynthia Pair up to him) and Sumia. Yarne steps up to the throne room and closes in on the Sage (the one on the right corner, who happens to wield Excalibur), he switches to Cynthia and she 1RKO's him. Cynthia Galforces up close to Cervantes and warps Sumia and Raven over. Sumia kills a Hero and opens up a hole on the wall, thereby making her way up to Walhart. Panne was mostly their for self-improvement, staying close to starting position and killing Cervantes and his mooks. She killed Cervantes with a Killer Axe critical.

Notes:

- This chapter was very rage-inducing, and I actually took a halt here, intending to re-start with a new log thinking I was kind of stuck.

- The reason this chapter was so painful was because Sumia had to dodge key attacks, which didn't even have high Hit on her, but were still somewhat unreliable to dodge (she had to dodge a Sniper that 1HKO'd her for 46% Hit., an Hero and Excellus for 50%, and she couldn't afford to dodge Walhart, who had 74% Hit. on her thanks to Prescience and hitting for 40 Atk e_____e).

- Had I not given Raven a Def tonic, he was cleanly 1HKO'd by Walhart. I had to rely on him if Sumia was too low on HP, and he ended up killing him.

- When things did go right and Sumia managed to dodge an arrow, Excellus, An Hero and even Walhart- She'd critikill him for a 1-turn, but I really needed the Exp. :e

Excellent. Henry and Cherche got married and Paralogue Gerome has been unlocked!
Chapter 21
After that inferno that was Ch.20, things really seemed to run smoothly. This strategy didn't put Sumia under much danger, and I got it in very few tries- Probably, literally "Third time's charm".
Once again, it started with Cynthia pairing up with Yarne for the extra Mov., warping Sumia and Raven further but having Panne kill an Assassin in the way. Thanks to Galeforce, I manage to slip through the castle nicely while avoiding those Silver Bow Assassins Sumia really hates.
The rest of the team would stay behind around the starting position, taking out the SMs. Panne took out the guys just a bit further.
Notes:
- I don't recall there being any important treasure here. That I recall, there's a Secret Book and a Noble Rapier (I have those already), but I don't really need them, per se. But a bit of more money would be nice...
- I could've gotten Maribelle to lvl.10 here, but I really felt the need to give those kills to Henry.
- RENEWAL!!!!!!
