For all 31 matches, pick the characters that will get 1st and 2nd. In round 1, picking 1st place correctly gives you 2 points, and picking 2nd place correctly gives you 1 point. However, if you correctly predict a character advancing but get them in the wrong place, you will get half points.

Example: You choose Pent>Nephenee, but the actual result is Nephenee>Pent, you get (2x0.5)=1 point for predicting Pent to advance and (1x0.5)=0.5 points for predicting Nephenee to advance (picking Nephenee>Pent correctly in this example gives 3 points).

The point totals in each successive round is twice the previous round (meaning the final is 32 points for 1st and 16 points for 2nd). The maximum points possible in each round is 48, for a maximum score of 240. You have until 24 hours after the Battle Royale to submit your final bracket, as you can't change it once it starts (bracket might be slightly adjusted depending on BR results, hence the delay).

For each match, pick the two characters who you think will advance, in order (i.e. Pent>Nephenee for Pent 1st and Nephenee 2nd).

For every match, pick who will finish in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. In round 1, picking 1st correctly gets 4 points, 2nd gets 3 points, 3rd gets 2 points, and 4th gets 1 point. However, incorrect picks will give you negative points instead (i.e. if you pick first wrong in round 1 you lose 4 points). You can also no-pick spots if you feel unsure about a match. In each successive round, the amount of points per pick doubles, leading to a maximum score of (5 rounds)x(160 points per round)=800 ~~only if you can see the future~~. You can join in anytime you want (if you jump in 2nd round that's just fine, but know that you'll (probably) start behind!)

Lastly, you can change picks at any time before the match, although once the match starts no more switching allowed!

I don`t know who Dimna is heard of him though but I`ll leave Dimna to General Horace :) anyway what I came for a possible answer to your question about characters that have multiple appearances how about you do them by growth rates? some characters their growths change in each game they appear in..like for example I find Midia much better to use in FE3 and FE1 due to the way she grows in those games for me I think she has better growths in those than say FE11 where she was not worth the time and effort. Catria and Palla changed too in the way they grow in FE11 to better catch up with Est. So I guess you can do something like that.

i think i'd be safe to include tiki twice if you do continents (one for Archanea and one for Ylisse)

If you include Palla Catria Est in Valencia I have a feeling they might win just based on the fact that people know them and they'd get votes from people who didn't even play the game, so it might be good to disclude them and only include them in Archanea

yeah I think I'd rather not have Palla/Catria/Est all hanging out there, because the only ones with a chance of beating them are Alm and Celica

and that reminds me, important character list for FE2 (that aren't playable, gonna need this soon)

edit: Serenes has 3 characters in the NPCs and enemies sections with a potrait....that brings it up to 32

(really FE2 is just a giant fodderfest for an Alm vs Celica final, seriously)

If you went with seedings how exactly would you choose them? ~~I propose we create a series of threads wherein people give scores out of 10 for each unit with a short justification for their score.~~

randomly generated for the most part, although since nobody knows about anybody in FE2 I made sure to separate Alm and Celica

8 pools of 4, top 1 advance (will be top 2 for later continents, but once again FE2 fodderfest)

I might run 4 pools at a time actually, now that I think about it

pools 1-4 for 24 hours, pools 5-8 for 24 hours, all 4 quarterfinals for 24 hours, then semis and final of FE2 are 24 hours apiece
