Recommended Posts

On this topic, we can share references for artists. Either it's other person's or yourself, digital or traditional, video or pic, feel free to share drawing references in here.

I think we need one of these topics to compile the loads of references out there and to aid artists out about proportions, poses, and others.

And here's some random ones I found on tumblr and dA. I'm sorry it's not really specific on category since I just search whenever I need one. :P

Trees
Mountains

Another mountains

Head views.

Downward light source (They also have light source from the back)

Body, poses, proportion stuffs

More trees because everyone loves trees

Cell shading

Feet and shoes!

Paint tool SAI brush settings (For those who uses it, like me. =w=)

Uhh, that's it for now. I'll post more when I find something.

Awesome, a reference topic! I don't keep any of mine organized, so I'm just posting what stands out to me at the moment.

PSG Art tutorial

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to work on their digital painting skills. It might help beginner/intermediate-level artists understand color and shading on a new level.

Gurney Journey

James Gurney's blog. Lots of helpful knowledge here, and he updates daily.

Reference!Reference!

Great reference videos of people and animals. Useful for animators.

Analytical Figure Drawing student work blog

Breaks down anatomy into key structures.

I might post more later if I ever sit down and organize my references folders.
