Espinosa
Why go for Stingmon who needs [Growlmon lv. 30, Lightning 80] when you can unlock MetalMamemon more easily at [Growlmon lv. 20, Defense 100]? In fact, doesn't this make Guilmon the earliest mon to unlock an Ultra form? I don't know much about this game so I've no clue. MetalMamemon actually has a weaker + attack modifier than Growlmon, but it still strikes harder due to being Ultra.
JSND Alter Dragon Boner
In a hindsight, Metalmamemon would be the most efficient line to get Tier 2 Mega, since you only need MetalGarurumon at level 99 to get MegaGargomon Compared to Grankuwagamon which need 300 Wind Tolerance and level 40 Imperialdramon, and Beelzemon(Tier 3 Mega) which required level 40 Gallantmon and Grizzmon(40) -> Grapleomon(20) -> Devimon(40) -> Myotismon(99) -> MaloMyotismon(40) According to this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/562323-digimon-world-3/66876476 Metalmamemon and Metalgarurumon is "semi Ultimate" and "semi Mega" in term of Power level
Espinosa
Interesting resource. lol @ Angewomon having the lowest coeff (esp for an Ultra). Good thing my Patamon is a Digitamamon instead; as for Grizzmon, I still need to decide what to do with him. Kyubimon is an option but he doesn't have enough MP to become a good one. I guess only the attack matters. And Kabuterimon is apparently the best Champion. Who can become one the fastest I wonder?
JSND Alter Dragon Boner
for the purpose of this game, Kabuterimon is basically an Ultimate As for who can become it the fastest, its obviously Veemon, who can get Stingmon through ExVeemon with no other req than Skill Level, which come with the bonus of getting Imperialdramon the fastest. Veemon also have a weird way to get its default Ultimate and Mega, needing level 5 Stingmon and level 20 to get Paildramon, and level 40 Paildramon and level 40 to get Imperialdramon so thats a bonus EDIT: Angewomon lv 40 + Patamon lv 15 = Rosemon. Too bad Phoenixmon is a Tier 1 Mega Edited October 5, 2013 by JSND

Too bad Phoenixmon is a Tier 1 Mega That's still crazy-fast, and if you're running through very underleveled, having Phoenixmon that early could save your tukkus big-time. Also, wow, Veemon tracks to Diaboromon almost effortlessly. I mean, the detour to BlackWarGreymon is irritating, but he's got something like fifteen levels where it isn't an opportunity cost. Espinosa
So I took the advice to get to Rosemon instead of Digitamamon (which takes absolutely nowhere and doesn't teach any skills either) for Patamon, and as Angewomon he/she is actually struggling to defeat the enemies in the desert 1-on-1 (Kumamon and Guilmon aren't exactly wallopping either). I don't know if things would be different if I put all my strength training for Patamon into spirit instead - with just one 10 TP spirit training, Angewomon can't deal any acceptable damage to the new enemies. I think it's more of a problem with horrible stat bases/growths and poor weapon options. Angewomon is also essentially a Champion as far as attack modifiers go. Anyway, the desert showed me your Digimon don't play the game as much as you think - your inventory does. Had to track back to Sezuku or whatever to buy lots of basic Potions to get me through at least a few battles while progressing the storyline. Rosemon better be worth the next 20 levels of my Angewomon anguish.

Also, if you're having trouble, spam Picking Claw on Tuskmon. Their drop will single-handedly wreck the game... except for Galacticmon. That's on your Digimon's own strength. Terrador
[spoiler=To Suzaku City and Beyond!] To Jungle Grave we go! Through here, we should find our way to Suzaku City, with all its challenges and new Digimon! Seadramon: Like Airdramon, but... aquatic. I know, so creative, right? Crazy thing is, these things can live a Greymon attack! Here, we have Bakemon, a ghost Digimon. It really isn't even a little bit intimidating. And we exit at Phoenix Bay, a lovely locale near Suzaku City. We find nothing new there... now, to Suzaku City!! The first thing that happens? Card Battle, with an emo chick! Thankfully, my incredibly vanilla deck is still half-decent nowadays--yay~! Who is this winsome lass? She looks decidedly... not generic. ...I think we can officially forget Ivy. There's a Tamer with one in West Wire Forest. Ask for Gal Gamer... Lucia, I think. Here, with the dancing Floramon... Suzaku Leader can be found. Let's kick her ass!! She opens with Woodmon, so I figure a Nova Blast might actually outdamage the standard attack. I... um... okay. Rolling with this. After Woodmon, we're up against a RedVegiemon. Shouldn't pose a real threat, all told. Yeah, no--I don't need to care. I figure I'll Double Power a couple of times for the NEXT DIGIMON! After two Double Powers [and, as luck would have it, two evades], Greymon's attack one-shots RedVegiemon. And now, for the real boss: SHOGUNGEKOMON! ...remind me, why is this considered a boss battle? I'm at a loss, frankly. Wait. That is why. NOOOOOOO!! CONFUSE GAS THIS IS BAD THIS IS REALLY BAD!! PURE DUMB LUCK PLUS GREYMON'S MUSCLES EQUALS VICTORY. And a crit on top of that. Classy. You had at least 675 BIT to spend on Power Charges and such. Don't blame your Digimon. THEVERYBEST ...another sidequest? Another sidequest. This one should be shorter, though... Should be. CUTSCENE WARPING WOO Oh, dear. What is it now? I get to run around fucking things up with a lizard for another few hours. Or days. Or months. The timetables on this game are... ambiguous, to say the least. ...we're looking for Teddy, but nope. It's time for a sidequest (getting in) in a sidequest (finding Teddy) before I can get back to my original sidequest (the Digi-Egg of Sincerity. Fuck me. Now, time for me to scour the city for something useful! "Yay"!! Time to get ALL the BIT! Another 11kiloBIT richer, less the cost of the Guard, it's time to actually do what Skank said! What's this? Cosplayers?! ETEMON GIVE ME AN AGUMON SUIT SO I CAN GO IN THE CENTER BECAUSE I CLEARLY CAN'T SEND AGUMON IN TO LOOK I mean, honestly. Digimon are very clearly sentient. Why not send my Digimon in? It has seen Teddy on multiple occasions!! Yaranaika... and dammit. Might as well report back to Whorechick. You skank I am the Digimon Champ You go talk to people I roast shit with Agumon How do you not get this?! I took down Seiryu and Suzaku Leaders in one afternoon, along with Pharaohmon, MasterTyrannomon, Bulbmon, and Zanbamon! I am your GOD!!! Vat a tveest! ...I think this makes me a furry now. You'd think DO Guards would be able to see your Satellite. Plus, y'know, talking out here in the open... *sigh*. And yet s/he lets me through. And you're a useless bitch. Seriously. You serve no purpose. Go die. Cover blown. I'd blame it on the skank, but it was Junior's fault this time. ...I am officially going to not care about this until I stumble across Lucky Mouse. I figure, while I'm here... the answer is, in fact, MORE POWER. Hey, it's a random Digimon! Who cares, though. It's dead now. Oh, hey, a Kokatorimon! Not that we care. ...wow. This is the best hint. And then an NPC tells me it's the Crest of Sincerity! Maybe Sepikmon knows something about it...? ...nope. LET'S GO BACK TO THE SHRINE! I have to knock this wall down, and now I can visit Sepikmon and get shit done. Urrrrrrrrgh. Crossing my fingers and hoping he's still at Protocol Ruin...! I'm not gonna spoil the answer for you, but... suffice it to say it's not pretty. Unlike Baronmon's mask. That thing is gorgeous. Tune in next time for Agumon, Digivolve To...!! [also, Submarimon and the West Sector and shit.]
Terrador
[spoiler=Agumon, Digivolve To...!]We're off to Protocol Ruins, to find Baronmon! No doubt he'll send us on a fetch quest to pick up something or other for his bomb! Also, fun fact: Seadramon appear at Divermon Lake now! Gosh golly! I'm at Protocol Ruins now. This... this just... I... I can't even. Wild Baronmon. When we're specifically supposed to find one. "Oh, yeah, that Baronmon is cool, but the rest will battle you for no reason!" Fuck this game, man. It makes 0 sense. Funny thing is, it's dropped by Triceramon. I spent a short while in Tyranno Valley earlier for a reason, y'know~ AW YEAH LET'S GO BLOW SOME SHIT UP! A rather irritating amount of retracing my steps later... AGUMON REACHES L20 AND LEARNS METALGREYMON! All will bow down before him. BUT FIRST I BLOW SHIT UP ...this comes as a surprise to you? Ah, screw it, let's check it out. This place feels... sacred. NOW I SHALL CALL SUBMARIMON AND RULE THE DIGI-WORLD ...or, y'know, go beat up Byakko Leader. That works, too. I'm now doing three-fifths again as much damage as I was. Get wrecked, everything ever. Hey, look, wild Apemon! I'm sure they're-- About as bulky as Renamon. Of course. Ah, Ether Jungle. Here, we will find our port--and a very suspicious-looking fellow, to boot. Let's ask him some things! He tells me about some "Legendary Gym" that I won't see for aaaaaaaages. More's the pity, really. However, speaking of really strong... there's a certain someone hiding in this jungle. Jungle Shrine, home of none other than Zanbamon! Let's go kick his ass. U-HO!! Oh, hey, a Numemon! I remember these guys--they're total chumps. ...well. Apparently not. They also drop Def on each attack, are fast enough to double WarGreymon in the second round of combat, and run away after you attempt two or three attacks. Yeah. They're pretty fierce. The good news is that they're worth metric fucktons of EXP! Yay! And deeeeep in the Catacombs... we have these motherhubbards. Thankfully, WarGreymon is a hell of a lot stronger now. Let's kick this guy's ass way too early!! AW YES. As an actual boss, Zanbamon hits like a truck, is quite bulky, and has a one-hit KO special. Thankfully, I'm pretty sure SkullGreymon can dodge the KO with Prayer Ring. Fairly sure. I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THIS GUY IS A LOT STRONGER THAN I THOUGHT. Really, the main issue is that MetalGreymon can't hit anywhere near hard enough with just two turns to attack before Hunting Knife, which is pretty much guaranteed to murder. That said, I do have an idea... and that idea is called "come back later because this guy is bloody insane." Christ. Fancy new Woodmon! These guys are actually really really annoying if you don't hit hard, because they leech HP. But now they just give more EXP. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!! South Cape! Neato little place, with a VERY handy spot. A Gym that trains Dark Tolerance! Why is this useful, you ask...? SKULLGREYMON IS WHY! I have to train MetalGreymon for a bit first, but Agumon will soon succumb... to the beast within!! GUESS WHAT BARONMON CAN DO NOW?! HE SHALL BE DEATH FOR NOW UNTIL SOMEONE GIVES ME AN IDEA I LIKE BETTER. Calling Submarimon! ...to get to Asuka City. After all, there's an auction going on, plus a SECRET WARP PIPE [except not really; more a shortcut to get where I'm already going.] Ohhhh, yeah. Dolphmon up in this shit. Surpringly enough, WarGreymon is narrowly incapable of KOing them. Also, Gesomon, which are much more intimidating, requiring three (!) attacks to take down. ...okay, apparently no auction. But that's okay! I don't mind. Still in the clear. Welcome, to the Eastern North Badlands, in West Sector! Here, everything is MANLY! Definitely a real difficulty spike at this point... pity that Agumon doesn't give a shit. Pretty manly for a Rookie. The Western North Badlands--here, I will roam for a bit. You'll understand why soon enough. This... is Tuskmon. Despite its intimidating size, it's only a Champion--and it has the best drop in the game, bar none. It is also barely two-shotted by MetalGreymon. Yeah. This game's getting tougher pretty quickly. This guy is pretty... Mammoth. He's also nearly OHKO by WarGreymon. Oh--have I mentioned that things around here tend to have ~115 EXP yield? Yeah. They're pretty metal. Well--I didn't expect that to be so easy. I thought I had to get my Ice tolerance a lot higher! Ah, well--I'm not complaining a bit. That much overkill was frankly a waste, in my book. This... is Pelche Oasis. It has an Inn and a Piximon, so I can change my Digivolutions. In this case, I'm actually benching MetalGreymon (!) in favor of Piximon. ExVeemon's gonna get a few levels while the going is not so awful, then SkullGreymon will take the fore! Wait, nope, no Piximon here. ...BACK TO ASUKA CITY! There are also Etemon in the area, the cheeky motherfuckers. They're the weakest foes in the area, despite being Ultimates--SkullGreymon wipes them out in a SINGLE BLOW. ...incidentally, it appears that Tuskmon show their faces at Plug Cape now. Go figure. This fella is ExVeemon. He'll only be around for a couple of battles--he needs to get to Skill Level 5 before becoming Paildramon. Incidentally, Shellmon is weak as shit; Veemon two-shots, and SkullGreymon OHKOs. aaaaaaaaand back to SkullGreymon. U-ho! Something like forty Tuskmon later, I finally get my drop--the Counter Crest! How it works: when an enemy Digimon hits you with a physical attack? You counter, and your damage = the damage dealt to you, assuming you hit successfully. It's not as broken when your own attacks and defense are powerful, but... it's really really fuckin' good. In addition, any Elemental Power rings you have are applied! Very nice. Now, let's go back to the oasis. I think I saw Ogremon hunter chick there! Incidentally, yes, that is a random encounter 'round those parts. ...okay, you're 0 help. Byakko City is nearby, I hear. Let's go visit~! Noise Desert: Fucktons of sand, and not really much else. Desert Airdramon! So scary. ...they actually live a shot from SkullGreymon, and their Mega Tornado does solid damage to him. And before I forget: the Counter Crest also stops your Blast meter from rising on physical attacks. You can edge it with DV Plugs and wait for a boss fight very easily this way, which is nice. Desert Dokugumon: it isn't even anything remotely resembling "intimidating". Q: Am I gonna listen to this barely sentient slimeball? A: Fuck no! TO BYAKKO CITY!! Byakko City. Why it's full of soldiers, I couldn't tell you. ...maybe because it's the A.o.A!!!1!111!!1! No, seriously. That guy down there... got out of the way just a bit too nicely. I smell trouble. Name the modern dictator this guy looks like. C'mon, it's not hard, I swear! He opens with Numemon. Yeah... Numemon. Oh shit Numemon!! ...except I two-shot with ease. ...even if the slimy thing dodges my Counter. One more of this bona fide mook later, and...! And I think you look like Kim Jong Un. And doooooooooown Junior goes! Tune in next time for Mystery of the West Sector!
Espinosa
I think Byakku Leader looks like I'm glad you've been showing your level progress - it's good to see how you fare at different points of the game. Agumon's speed looks a little low. Counter Crest is broken, but not nearly as much on PAL. Ever tried Multi Crest btw? 3x attack sounds almost as broken. I think those steals are reason enough to go with the Maniac pack for Guilmon's steal techs (even on emulator, I don't think savestating before the final blow can help - seems it's determined before the battle starts... or not?). JSND Alter Dragon Boner
"Ever tried Multi Crest btw? 3x attack sounds almost as broken." No shit sherlock It splits 1 attack into 3 attack. Which means more chances of crit and hitting high evasion stuff. It does not triple damage, thats the role of Impakuto Raasu >_> IMO Thunder Zone is the best Accesory considering how much it helped against BK Scorpiomon. WRT this, the other Zone accesory is comparable in this regards Yes, I have actually got the thing. Dem Clockmon Hunting Also what is the difference beetwen PAL and US Counter Crest? Espinosa
Wait, what are those zones you speak of? I've never got far enough into the game to know I guess. NTSC CC - counters every single normal physical attack. PAL CC - randomly counters (I heard, -any- attack but I've only seen it kick in for physicals thus far) with what seems like a 25ish percent probability. Also, the El Dorado equips make training Veemon a breeze. Didn't even deliberately stop anywhere and he's kicking ass, soon to gain access to both Kabuterimon and Paildramon. My current longterm plans are Renamon->Imperialdramon FM (PM seems a little too ambitious), Veemon-Diaboromon (or maybe Beelzemon? either way, these two are nearly impossible to get to and Veemon has the easiest access to some of the more elusive evos out there) and Kotemon-Omnimon. I've been working on Renamon's Spirit more than attack and the results appear to be visible this time around. Maybe the extra spirit only makes a difference when penetrating a weakness? Also, the 'newer' mons (Kotemon, Kumamon and Monmon) have difficulty reaching 'higher-tier' Mega forms that aren't MegaGargomon (which seems like an easy reach for nearly everyone else), but actually boast a huge array of physical skills. For example, nearly everything else is magic-oriented even when investment into magic seems totally impractical (Agumon's line and basically everything Ultimate or Mega). However the first game, Digimon World 1 is basically the evolution of the tamagotchi digivices in a much larger scale game with a bit of story line and locations to explore while raising, feeding and looking after your Digimon, I honestly think Bandai were crazy to steer away from it for the later games You might want Digimon World 1 instead of Digimon World 3. . Espinosa
So it looks like that a no-grind run with 3 digimon is a really bad idea. I just got done with the three elemental knights portion of the game, and it was basically just spam potions until the counter crest kicks in (fml PAL version). The damage I could deal back on my own was laughable - I was also trying to unlock some higher-end digivolutions (now I understand you ARE meant to grind for these things to have at least tier 1 megas by this point). Kotemon is busy working on unlocking WarGreymon, Veemon is only just picking up SkullGreymon and Renamon can finally go into Imperialdramon. I think a 2-digimon run is ideal for efficiency (and an NTSC version for guaranteed CC activations). Also, is something necessary to make Kenny appear in AM Mirage Tower? He's not there and nor are the AoA. The guard on top did mention about bringing the 4 leaders back. Did I skip some piece of dialogue that triggers these events to unfold? Not sure what those could have been.
Terrador
Espinosa: I can see the resemblance there, too. Very dictatory. Funny thing is, I've trained Agumon's Speed about as much as his Strength--it's just that Agumon is always slow. And wrt Multi Crest: Didn't even know it existed. JSND: I do, as a matter of fact, have a Fire Power 1 on Agumon, a lucky drop from Tyrannomon. Espinosa: I wouldn't knock MegaGargomon. Even a fairly low-level unwise Guilmon with it served me very well in the second half of the Galacticmon fight. Seriously, I was so underleveled--Kumamon had literally not even achieved a Mega form. Patamon hadn't unlocked Seraphimon [although it did get Phoenixmon], and Guilmon had only just hit L40 [but Gallantmon was ignored for MegaGargomon]. And Espiniosa: I survived a grindless run with three Digimon--the run ended at something like... 50-52k EXP per Digimon? Certainly not much, in the grand scheme of such an enormous game. NTSC Counter Crest saved my bacon in almost literally every fight; Patamon, without Str training, couldn't even have significant firepower unloading techs on mooks. Shit was awful. Espinosa
I'm not saying MegaGargomon is bad (it's way better than anything Patamon ever gets in a semi-efficient run); it's just 'generic' because the MetalMamemon path is pretty easily available for every mon so a lot of units can end up becoming MegaGargomon. Getting Veemon is probably really inefficient, though when he catches up in level his stats are probably superior to your other two (must be higher bases, that or lack of necessity to grind tolerances and other undesirable stats). Considering how good Counter Crests are, I'd say the game's Top Tier unit should be Kumamon, since he has the most HP and can therefore maintain a deliberately low defence to counter enemies for a ton of damage. Also, physical techs and good 2H weapons. No equippable horns sadly.

Yes, he is a solid unit, but he levels slowly, has poor tracks to Megas, and has piss for MP, although he actually has good techs. For a solo... I'd go with Guilmon. MetalMamemon is crazy-early for an Ultimate, and MegaGargomon is super-duper handy to have around so early. Plus, after hitting L40, it's a mere 107 skill levels to Omnimon, which should be able to carry him to endgame--failing that, he can slog for Imperialdramon-Fighter during downtime. Oh--and Guilmon gets Zweihander access, has decent stats all-around, and levels quickly for a lot of TP. And I mean a lot. Monmon is iirc the only thing that levels faster, and it has shitty tracks. Titamon
Espinosa have you tried Soul Chopper Renamon?
Espinosa
Actually, ignore that whole argument lol. I got Kumamon and Monmon all mixed up, pretty much speaking as if they fused into something that had the best features of each. Kumamon levels slowly, doesn't get 2H weapons and evolutions could be better (those elemental attacks weren't a huge help from what I remember). Monmon probably IS the best, though (and you're right when you say that he levels the quickest). High HP isn't as good as I claimed it to be either, at least on the NTSC version. I don't like Soul Chopper at all because it cuts your attack and prevents the Counter Crest from working. The chances of the instadeath activating seem low from personal experience (think 1/15) but I also heard they skyrocket at the highest levels. My recent discovery: Gold Ticket is obtainable as soon as you get Digmon so you can have very early super training including in speed I believe. Terrador
[spoiler=Mystery of the West Sector] I, uh... don't remember either. *scrolls through thread* Yeah, that's it! Numemon: can wall off holes and shit. Tuskmon, et cetera: Can appear anywhere. Anywhere. Apparently you have to talk to this guy first. >big rock ...Junior... are you... on drugs? NOT YOU AGAIN!! A good rule of thumb in fantasy: if it can talk, it isn't human, but you aren't exactly certain what it is: don't trust it. I think this fits those criteria. SIDEQUEST U-HO!! ...really? I never would have guessed! Well, look who's back in black? >go North to get out You mean kill everything until I stumble across Mirage Tower. Mobius Desert: Here, a whole lot of nothing. A whole lot of it. Why, this fellow seems like a badass! Let's go beat him up and take his lunch money! Unfortunately, SkullGreymon really isn't doing much OHKOing anymore... ah, well. That's what BlackWarGreymon is for!! That... was only about 10 screens, with a minimum of something like 5. Not bad, Junior... not bad. Snazzy. This is the Mirage Room. Hopefully, it doesn't have infinite drops to nothingness. Hopefully. The real Byakko Leader! Let's kick his ass! A.o.A...? Little kid. Terrorist. Clearly. Seems pretty... *shades* Fly. Two Double Powers and a counterattack later... can you say "overkill"? Challenge accepted. Spirit attacking: it just doesn't work on things that outlevel you. No matter how weak to water they may be. ...and that's after two Double Powers? Wow, Tortomon is a bulky sumbitch. Pity that Death catches up to everyone. Sometimes without even waiting for a counterattack. NOT ARCADE GAMES! MY ONLY WEAKNESS! HOW BRUTAL Pity that this game's Freeze is roughly Pokemon's Paralysis, and that SkullGreymon is an indestructible tank. HYES Two freakin' phases in a row I wasn't able to attack. Pity he's back to normal strength, but that should be enough... right? Okay, wow. That's scary. And of course, the one time I get an extra turn on this chump... GOOD NEWS is that SkullGreymon is too dodgy for this poor chump. You say "crit", I hear "overkill Counter". ...so the SkullGreymon named "Death" tipped you off to me being an upstanding citizen... how, exactly? PLOT! Alternate reading: SIDEQUEST! Back in the desert, we find this thing. Vademon. It's weeeeeeird. Really weird. It's also just a hair too strong for an OHKO. Now, I could just go to Dum Dum Factory, but... instead, have a special episode! ALSO AGUMON IS FAST NOW [spoiler=I want your babies! Failing that, your DDNA will do.]Let's go to Protocol Ruins. Why? Because I just feel like it. Hmm...? Y'know what? Let's do it! Let's find Paildramon!! My focus is absolute! I will find Paildramon, and nothing will stop m-- I CAN DIVE HERE AND THERE ARE DIVERMON MUST EXPLORE!! CARD GAME TIME exceptnobodyreallycaressoI'mskippingtotheend Digi-A-to-LL Champion, KingDivermon! With an impressive win streak of 37 duels! UNLUCKY 38 HERE GOES U-HO ETC ETC Fofofo? That isn't laughter. It just... it just isn't. No. Stop it, KingDivermon. Stop. *One all-too-easy Card Battle later* Woohoo! I'm the best Card Battler in all of Asuka! Now, everyone's Decks will start getting manlier! I think. I think that's what happens. NOW TO FIND PAILDRA-- ...well. That was easier than I expected. Just as big of a doofus as Veemon, it seems. Apparently, Digimon data is written in quaternary. Go figure. ...Think about this for a second. You would rather fight a skeletal avatar of death than get poked with a needle. What the hell, Paildramon. What the hell. ...wow, Paildramon is really small for an Ultimate. At least, by enemy standards. Pretty chumpy, too. For all the yammering I do about Imperialdramon-Fighter and its potential to hit Tier 3, this Ultimate really isn't stacking up. ...that was worth 200 EXP? Wow. Just... just wow. Funny timing for a level, though. Yup. Apparently, the only way to transfer data is with needles. And that hurts, coming from something which took a hit from DEATH HIMSELF and stayed fighting. ...yeeeeeeah. Yay, Veemon! Pity it's at Level 1, just like every other scrub. Eh, it'll be quick enough for support soon enough anyway. I get the feeling I was supposed to be doing something... but what? OH WELL. LET'S GO BEAT UP A WARGROWLMON! That's his finisher! Pity it's magical and therefore probably useless. I'll super train Spirit someday later, though. Someday. Maybe. We'll see. Once I grab a few more evos and have broad Spirit coverage. ...why can't I have SkullGreymon following me as a map sprite? WHY?! ANGRY BUBBA ...what. Alrighty then! More EXP for Agumon~! Also fairly small in relation to most enemy Ultimates. Still a cool guy, though. Might actually be remotely challenging! Nope. Also, Counter Crest. Okay, that is a funny coincidence right there. DDNA get! Best Tamer ever, rite?! But yeah, Guilmon get! And now I have their DDNA. And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming! [spoiler=Dum Dum Factory and the Hunt for Numemon] GOTCHA! Unless, of course, he outruns me. But that can't happen more than once!...right? Only once... riiiight. I think I can actually show some of the Digimon 'round here now! None of these guys are exactly chumps [except Andromon, because he's frail enough to one-shot], but Death is still not even remotely threatened. Freakin' finally!! >talking to a Mega NPC This can only end in-- Of course. HiAndromon has a decent amount of bulk... ...and hits like a truck, thanks to Machine damage. Oh, yeah. NTSC Counter Crest. Bitch. Heyo, another level! Also, Numemon's in the sewers. Yummy. Tune in next post for Lucky Numemon, Pedobear, and the A.o.A! Terrador
[spoiler=Lucky Numemon, Pedobear, and the A.o.A] Welcome back, everyone! It's time for us to go ~Sewer Surfin'~! ...what's that creepy teddy bear doing with Hot Chick? A: I dunno, but I'm gonna go kick its ass!! ...this is literally a turd. I have no words. Besides the fact that Etemon Digivolves from these chumps! No wonder they're such jerks! They grew up as shitheads! FFFFFFFFFFF- I REMEMBER WHY I'M DOWN HERE NOW CURSE YOU, NUMEMON!! Only now, you scream...? I mean I'M COMING YARANAIKA OH GAWD IT'S LIGHTLI Funny how "freak" has a completely different meaning for guys than it does for girls. Hot chick! Wait--she says she doesn't like freaks. She thinks Ogremon is cool. You aren't quite screwed on tight, Lisa. She's waving her arms and everything dammit the map animation for this game is so adorable "Like you? You're not even half my--" "Ah. The SkullGreymon." "...TO THE DEATH!!" Gotta love Counter Crest and solid offenses. Doubling the enemy's damage output? All in a day's work. Oh, and I have Super Charges coming out the ass in case my HP actually gets low. Dohohohoho! Close, but no cigar. Aaaaaand game. Adorable, I tell you. Also, that's what she said. WA-POW!! For the cute Ogremon! Duh! OHGODNOIT'S-- NUMEMON!! Damn you, Etemon Suit Guy! I can't trust anybody!! Did you not just see me fuck up WaruMonzaemon, a Digimon that could threaten what's presumably a pretty powerful Tamer (capable of passing HiAndromon's test or sneaking into the sewer besides, and surviving with these random encounters anyhow...!), in literally two rounds? You wouldn't stand a chance, buddy boy. That's right, bitch. Wait--this is why we came to West Sector in the first place!! Wowzers! WHOA SHIT WHOA SHIT THIS IS BAD THIS IS REALLY BAD ...so she's your little sister-- And you're referring to her by her Digimon Online username Which she has never told you about and you've never once referred to her as DURING A CRISIS SO GREAT THAT YOU MAY NEVER SPEAK TO HER AGAIN. WHAT THE FUCK?! Okay. Okay... I think... I'm a little calmed down. A little. PLEASE STOP REFERRING TO HER BY A PSEUDONYM! YOU ARE HER BIG BROTHER, FOR FUCK'S SAKE!! MUAHAHAHAHA--wait no I hate these guys. Fuck. Oh, boy. What now? WHOAHSHIT HOPEFULLY HE CAN'T TURN DEATH INCARNATE INTO AN OINKMON I BET ITS STATS ARE ASS Seems familiar. Difference is, swat+counter OHKOs it. ...the fuck? Eh, no matter. One double-attack later, and he's history. And you led the DigiMafia right to him. Bitch. ...oh, boy. Time to kick some ass? TIME TO KICK SOME ASS. YEAH LET'S GO DO THAT ...in some other update. THAT SAID, I have a pair of ~Easter Eggs!!~ for y'all. [spoiler=Easter Eggs] [spoiler=Easter Egg #1] BlackWarGreymon in the house! Sadly, the GIF uploader is on the fritz today. That said--BLACKWARGREYMON WOO I AM SET FOR NOW [spoiler=Easter Egg #2] ...I thought I'd have to use a SCUMMY NON-SOLO TACTIC to take this guy down. Apparently, I was wrong. That seems a little low for Digimon World 3's Chuck Norris. Ah, well. Also: the prostrat was to switch the Level 1s into Hunting Knife. Don't worry--I'll only have one with me come next map. That's all for tonight, folks! Tune in next time for Siege of Asuka City: the War on the A.o.A Begins! Espinosa
I find Zanbamon easy to kill in 2 turns if your low-defence counters don't miss. Having BlackWarGreymon helps too I suppose. Too bad he has no physical techs that your Champions/Ultimates can unlock when you're unlocking better Megas later. Then again the magic techs should work just fine when hitting weak even without spirit training? I dunno.
