Balcerzak Balcerzak and Integ Rity are now on duty. The funny thing is that the RNG gave both of them the lowest aim (55!) out of the whole fucking team. As soon as other teammates promote to the right class and they are the right country, I'll add them in. This is assuming they survive.

I haven't been able to get good angles of Daigoji's orgasmic gatling gun spinning in action, but then again I didn't use her much. She has a neat robotic/mechanical voice and her disruption field really helps in survivability of everyone around her.

My rule in Ironman becamen:

2 medikits, one on a support with 3 use skill, one on somebody else just in case, because murphy's law always sees the support go down first, and only critically wounded (just to spite you).

Scopes on Heavies and Snipers, no questions asked.

Arcthrower in Support second slot when available, otherwise on second support, because dat fucking sprint for extra movespeed.

Assault... eh, whatever I need, probably one grenade, for clearing cover my heavies don't want to waste rockets on.

Early-game I hear in impossible you want those nanofiber vests because the gap between regular armor and carapace is just too long otherwise. I have not yet had the balls to attempt Impossible Ironman, so I cannot confirm/deny.

Also, holy fuck, tactical rigging so OP.

Many eggs in a whale. Shit shit shit shit shit it spawns 1 chrysallid every turn, sometimes 3. The key tactic is to avoid line of sight. As long as the chrysallid doesn't see you, it'll waste the turn moving to find you instead of attacking, granting the guys a turn to reload. Weir is sent to activate the ship's transponder while everyone else is busy killing Chrysallids.

This was the hard part. The game throws 3 chrysallids from the whale body and 1-2 more from the remaining shark bodies on the island.

You couldn't just dash out of there because the bastards run faster than you and they already have line of sight when they were spawned. I spent about 4-5 turns reloading and making a fighting retreat until I killed the bastards and then I began dashing because the respawning chrysallids couldn't see me once I got far enough from the whale carcass.

Princess K runs out of shotgun ammo at the worst possible time. She whips out her pistol and proceeds to critical enemies. Because EXALT's AI mindset is "ZERG RUSH" they basically disregard safety and will run into the hacking zone to contest the encoder from XCOM's control.

This also activates PrincessK's Close Combat Specialist ability multiple times (and pistols don't need to reload) so basically the 2 idiots that ran past her either ended up dead or take enough damage such that another squaddie can kill them the next turn.

I'm having lots of trouble rolling a Canadian Male Assault, been doing it for an hour straight.

So far I've been getting Canadian Heavies/Snipers and most of them are female, I dunno if I can get a character Polydeuces like.

If you have 2 interceptors in one place you can recall the first one if it is about to be destroyed and send the second.

If I buy the expansion I guess I have to look out for the rocket launcher too.

Rikku in my D&D group is the infiltrator since she has High strength and she can go invisible. I suppose giving her the pistol ability increases her usefulness in infiltration missions

The first things I researched were in my current, classical play through were: (this is my first)

+2 vest, carapace armor the Tazer so I can start zapping aliens and get the research credit.

I then realized I didn't have ten engies and so I am just waiting for an engie mission, but there not poping up!

A lot of rookies died since they were the first ones in to protect my elites.

However you are troops sustain damage and needs to withstand crits.

So armoring up reduces wound time and give greater chance of people being promoted, increasing your overall firepower later on.

Alien materials>vest>officer school>interrogate floater>carapace>interrogate everyone else for credit, buy foundry

no beam weapons yet... I am going straight for plasma!

but then, this is my second play through, first time on classic

Xcom's RNG really makes FE4 & FE5's RNGs look friendly

IF your attack has less than 100% chance to hit, don't even bother, in Xcom terms it means guranteed 100% chance to miss

You can only depend on grenades, rockets, & assaults' run & gun

I practically play every mission with fresh new recruits because of ever-expanding long list of people gravely injured for 17 days

I think I've gotten the hang of using PrincessK's mimetic skin. The key part is stealthing her in the beginning (the EXALT defense had her unstealthed the whole time because she was in their line of isght the whole time) and sending her away from the rest of the squad as a scout.
