Knight
I usually always avoid using the devil axes when playing Fire Emblem, since I don't wish to fall victim to the side effects, but in any game is it considered a good weapon? I've heard it raises your axe weapon rank a lot.
Espinosa
Of course it's a good weapon - it's the only one that does not backfire in FE Devil Mode! But yeah, getting axe rank up is a good thing though it could use better availability.
ButteredToast
All I've got was either high damage rate, or massive suicide from one of my characters.

Sånıc Bÿm
If only the Devil Axe and Casual Mode were both available in the same game...
Shadow Mir
No. Too risky. Edit: And in GBA, way too heavy, too. Edited December 2, 2013 by Levant Fortner
Nobody
It's useful for making youtube videos of characters dying when fighting walls. I wouldn't use it. Too risky
dondon151
it's amazing in FE11. definitely worth using.
Quintessence
it's amazing in FE11. definitely worth using.^ This. It helps a lot at OHKO'ing stuff and shaving turns in FE11. Other than that, no, because it weighs so much in FE7. edit: and the risk, of course. Edited December 2, 2013 by Quintessence
Cymbalina's Revenge
it's amazing in FE11. definitely worth using. Yeah, I like the FE11 Devil Weapons. It helps to have that in-game save point, though, just in case things backfire. Wouldn't take those chances in the other games.
a.f.k.a. Howard Hughes
I recall one of my drafts in FE11 H3 that darros was one of the better units I had for the longest time with this thing. Darros! If thats not sign of a good weapon, I dont know what is
Tables
Their main use to me has always been that 8 WEXP they give, which is great in e.g. the GBA games where you can get a newly promoted axe user up to D rank axes in about two swings. But even then, that's usually not worth it due to the fact that E rank axes are good enough (Hand Axe, Steel Axe, Iron Axe, all E rank). Their low hit rates and high weight is also a problem, so really WEXP training is about the only use I tend to get out of them. I still remember Gonzales killing himself with a 0.2% chance Devil Axe crit as his first (and so far only) action I ever took with him as a playable character... Pull My Devil Trigger
No, my luck doesn't allow me to use this unholy thing
Rapier
it's amazing in FE11. definitely worth using. In FE12 too, since MU and Marth have a lot of luck and it's very unlikely that it'll misfire.
Elieson
Maria!Devil Sword had always been a half decent draftee for me...as bottom tier of course
eclipse
it's amazing in FE11. definitely worth using. It's extremely useful for killing off the Chapter 3 boss on the harder difficulties, and some of the armors if my axe users can't Hammer them. Nicolas
Never used in FE5. Amazing in GBA FE (especially on someone like Lowen).
LunaSaint
Used it occasionally in GBA FE, though I find the kickback rate waaay too high. The devil weapons in DSFE are amazing. Marth + Devil Sword = Yes please.
PM ME MARIANNE ART
I like using it.
Ϲharlie
I used it in FE3. Barts can OHKO a lot of things with it. Besides that, I've never made much use of it.
Zebraman R
I never risk it Why? You can use it to die in the best way possible: death by cracked wall!
Florete
Lightweights. I use the Devil Axe plenty in FE7 and have never seen it kill my units. Why? Because I'm smart and careful with it. I make sure that the raw damage it's dealing can't kill me (there are crits, but there will always be miniscule chances of failure, Devil Axe or no) and usually only use it for killing blows, as that prevents retaliation on top of doubling the already high WEXP. Having Raven and Oswin using Silver Axes is pretty cool. Having them with S rank Axes is even cooler.
Thor Odinson
I only use it when I need fast leveling of axe rank when I'm doing certain gimmicky stuff Like I got the request when I did my FE7 women+hector only run to have Isadora take the killing hit on Fire Dragon with Basilikos I generally pick targets that I know I can't kill myself on, hit them with Devil Axe, then get someone to switch to iron before Enemy Phase starts But I only do that for gimmick runs to start with
Dr. Tarrasque
FE11 H5 Chapter 3 Reynard Otherwise I use it when it can do something a different Axe will not accomplish AND I'm able to equip a different Axe to that character before enemy phase (or simply have him in a position where he won't be attacked). Icon of Sin
Pretty good in Akaneia since other options are rare. Otherwise, they can come in handy to raise axe levels in some games. Failing that, situational use I suppose.
