And, Halvan doesn't need the Speed Ring. Caps are at 20 in this game, so he'll have plenty time to max it. If you plan to use it until the End Dagda would benefit from it better. bottlegnomes Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Give Lief all of your rings for the next few chapters. You'll be thankful. Othin and Havan are quite good. It's odd that Othin hasn't gotten any speed, as he's the speedy one. Havan's the strong one, but neither really suffer in their off stats. Dagda may have shit growths, but when your bases look like that, who cares? Finn is pretty solid. Nice stats, stupidly good personal weapon, and a lead star. Also, use the pantsless mage. PKLucas531 Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) You can give Dagda a Bow and snipe Shiva until he's weak enough for Finn to hopefully not miss capture him with the Brave Lance. Or you can avoid him entirely since he doesn't move. All you get is a Killing Edge, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to capture enemies and get more of those later. I'm not sure what triggers it, but it takes a while. Capturing him isn't a big deal, but the killing edge is nice. Lifis is a joke to capture, so just make sure the person has enough build to do it. He effectively doesn't move since the turn that he starts moving is high enough that even the slowest of players wouldn't really trigger it. Just seize the throne and end the chapter if you hear the BGM change, and I think Shiva will also say something before he starts moving. Speaking of BGM changes, it usually signals something "bad" has happened, like you've missed a Gaiden chapter, or reinforcements beyond what you can handle are coming. PKLucas531 Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 Shiva and Lifis are at the very end of the chapter, likely the last two enemies you'll even see in the chapter. Lifis has no weapon, and units without weapons can be captured without even needing to be KO'd so you could have basically anyone take him. This also applies to your units, so don't go leaving your healers wide open or they'll get captured and have every single item of theirs stolen. Having Fin take Shiva after someone chips him is just my way of capturing him, since Marty and Dagda would get destroyed by his weapon triangle advantage. Don't overuse Dagda too much, he is a Jeigan, and his growths are reaaaaallly bad. He's very useful though and can pretty much last the entire game due to his bases.
