X-Naut
So is your favorite type of mercenary one with a lancereaver or one that happens to be dead from axe in the face? Both [spoiler=Chapter 15: The Filler Breather Chapter] Team + Lilina Lalum moves into position and someone needs to kill that Silver Lance wyvern skulking behind the mountains. All the while THE HERO OF THE WEST leads the charge in style. Lot has earned these boots. why Start running, game. The first of many Percival's presence makes everyone else look bad (except Roy inexplicably). Oh hey, it's one of the only two enemy Valkyries in the game! And for good reason. Funny thing about horse-slaying weapons is they're not effective on Valks, and I think Ward was one away was just short of a OHKO. Okay we need to hustle now There goes his horse's kidney. lol longbows Need a savestate here to reliably break through the enemy lines, otherwise the Hammerne village is toast. Half an hour of Command+F and Command+D later... Gotcha On the team. Now. SUCCESS Enemy Valkyries are now extinct. Not a great first impression there... Everything after Garret was boring, reinforcements came and went. That's more like it! With stats like those I'd be depressed too. Desired support quadrilateral. Key word is desired. Got sick of waiting after turn 30 and seized. Free money! Well it was nice knowing you Zealot
chococoke
Percival is 3 levels lower and beats Raeth in every stat. I guess the makers of the game decided not to make every boss in this game difficult to take down
Squidmark Iggy
Percival shows no Mercival! Anyways, never knew about Garret existing in FE6. Probably because my FE6 knowledge IS pretty minimal.

X-Naut
Percival is 3 levels lower and beats Raeth in every stat. I guess the makers of the game decided not to make every boss in this game difficult to take down Raeth needs to learn from FE9 MM!Oliver. [spoiler=Chapter 16: I Hate Purge] FEATURING MILEDY (except not really) I hate this map design. The main entrance is too convoluted. Meh, he actually has a Res stat. Maybe he won't be 2HKO'd by endgame magic? (that isn't Fenrir obviously) OKAY MAYBE NOT YET Already a much better showing! It took several attempts to get the entrance sequence down no thanks to the bishops and Bolting mage. There were some hits, there were many misses, and there were a few amusing hits. But the biggest problem? That freaking Purge bishop. Keeps attacking Astol even with Pure Water to dissuade it. And I need him to steal the Member Card from Hugh. Progress (also Geese tanking the Boltings) And then Astol got attacked. NEW PLAN I've seen your face enough times already! FINALLY (Hugh is not worth the 10,000 gold so shut up) Now go raid that chest room while I work out how to deal with Douglas. Stop. Hammerne time. (repaired the Swordreaver) I get through annoying long-range bishops, a dragon, and a general I'm not supposed to kill and now this!? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU New new plan. Now stay. Hammerne time (again) Eventually I managed to clear out the swarm and I'm pretty much in the clear. Which means I could: 1. Recruit Zeiss for 21x 2. Acquire two Hero Crests (and a few robes and other knicknacks) 3. Give Roy and Marcus a HP boost 4. Promote Speedy Gonzales and the Fowlest of Pirates 5. Wreck Narshen 6. Grab the other chests 7. Get a support in the meantime 8. End this damn slog of a chapter. And now, the next level of hell awaits. X-Naut
Make sure Douglas is used! Oh do I have a use for him. [spoiler=Chapter 16x: Worse Than Arcadia] Oh will I ever need healers this map. Hmmm... perfect! Just what I was looking for! This will make the opening turns a lot less turtlish! Advancing is MUCH less of a hassle with a Bolting decoy. Would have Elixir'd if Douglas didn't need full Pure Water to live. 10/10 best boss quote made me cry tears of awe Last thing I want is Percival turning against me. Oh crap oh crap oh crap FUCK This time I Pure Water'd Percy on turn 1, and also got to see a stationary AI move. Overall a much better situation. EXCEPT THAT Good thing I had one use left! Once more, with noticeably less death! Well that's it for the opening threats. Now to deal with the other siege weapons. Crap. Those Bishops aren't normally aggressive, but healing instincts brought him into attacking range. This is very, very bad. (save state) You're not helping. Better make sure the one on the other side doesn't do the same thing... Drat. Here we go again... And stay dead! I don't need any more Physic bait. Especially not with more Physic users... (only Silence and don't move without provocation but still annoying) Not gonna be anal about this, light arrows suck. Slowly but surely wearing out the siege tomes... If not outright killing them at the first opportunity. And then I miscalculated the Purge bishop's range and had to restart from the save state. I almost felt like doing this to myself after the incident. Alternate chapter title: Percival Carries The Team REJOICE THE PURGE IS OVER For a Level 14 Sniper that's pathetic. I've already gone through much worse, this is hardly an issue. Okay maaaaaybe it's a minor setback And with the bishops finally gone I can bring in the cleanup crew before dealing with... Wait, more? Yeah, second save state goes here. About a half hour of RN burning later and... Off with his head! Off with his head! Done in under 20 turns. Felt more like 40 tbh. Percy's Res is going to come in handy in the later maps.

X-Naut
[spoiler=Chapter 17: This Chapter Is Sponsored By MISSINGNO.] Missed the team shot but you know what my lineup is by now aside from Douglas, who will replace Zealot as top filler unit. (Also Astor because I want new Elixirs) Instead have some completely out of place soldier descriptions. All according to plan. "Maybe if I don't move they won't see me- fuck" While the warriors and Speedy/Echidna/Percy charge the gates Garret and Geese will build up my statbooster funds and carry out a badly needed restocking session. The only thing they're good at is slowing down my healers. That's it. Another one for Marcus Are you sure that was a good idea Are you sure that was a good idea P.S. I put a save state here Here's why The enemy gates are wide open now! Charge! Okay fine, they're open a crack. Oh, fuck you. Ten minutes of replaying later If snipers had the 30 crit bonus I'd understand them using archers for ballista, but this is just pitiful. Intermission over. zzzzzzzz Huh? Oh, right, another save state. (Garret wants Speed) lel +1 respect points for being an axe paladin -10 for having the spine of a wet noodle I can see a couple of people wanting to kill this bastard, but only one person truly deserves the honor... THE HERO OF THE WEST PRAISE THE GLITCH (and check out that sweet pile of cash) Worth it.

X-Naut
[spoiler=Chapter 18: Snow And Arrows] Miledy's here to grab a village GREAT START Goose and Garret go to chop up drakes while the rest help each other up. THE STORM BEGINS Do the thing Roy. Swordreaver so clutch I can't wait until we can actually buy Physic. Why the Horseslayer one out of all them doesn't move I'll never know. That's what I like to see! And now Lalum and the healers can move up further. Better than FE7 pegasi but they still blow. How convenient! Killed offscreen nuisance Niime master troll High defense magic users my ass. Bandits aren't sacking this village any time soon. Spoiler: this isn't my first run. The pegasi got me last time. To your left, no problem. To your right, sheer terror. Funny how bandits prioritize futile attacks on a far superior army than bag a village when the opportunity is ripe. Or flee for that matter. (Made a save state here so Echidna could gain stats.) Huh, I thought they'd arrive earlier. whatever I can just do this! (Wrote State 2) I didn't have the patience to rig hit + crit, so I settled for a single crit. Goodbye and good riddance, bishop bosses! I managed to grab all the villages too, even without fliers on the right! Not like stats matter at this point.
X-Naut
[spoiler=Chapter 19: Blizzard Bluff] Cool, free staffbot for a map! At long last... These two are taking the high road. At this point nobody else needs these, though in hindsight the book could have been made into boots. Unpromoted enemies are a joke at this point. And status staff enemies are a jerk at this point. Good riddance. The ballista and Physic Druids are reeeeeeally annoying on this map. You, however, are the worst of the worst. why No amount of range can save you from the mountains. At least it's not another sleep staff... And then I miscounted and put her in range of the ballista (except I didn't) Then again I don't mind starting over when I finally remembered to bring torches. This didn't go as well as last time but next turn- Ah, crap. MANY DEAD STAFFBOTS LATER We're almost there. (Save state) SCREW WALKING I HAVE RESCUE CHAINS That's the last of the ballista. The rest of the resistance, well... Hahahahahaha Pussy. I am done with snow.

X-Naut
You going to up everyone's move with buyable boots or stack them all on to one super unit with Armads? Everyone in the finale gets 10-12 movement so that the chapter drags on for less time. [spoiler=Chapter 20: Besieging A Siege Nest] ZEALOT RETURNS (to do absolutely nothing but get me my gaiden) Can't have the lord dying on us now, can we? Ilia: the county of snow, pegasi, and siege weapons up the ass. In other news the warriors are tanking the two stray mercs and Zealot is staying far away from enemies because he sucks by now. The starting mob is actually pretty scary, especially the magic users. well shit Let's try that again. With less death, hopefully. Success! Now we heal up, get back at the enemy, and- *facepalm* Back to the drawing board... Ignoring the second passage for now so that I have more axe hands to break down the main force. And apparently get more favorable RNG. All this staff use is giving me memories of FE5. Save state now that I have solid progress. And to let me grab a few crucial kills. Get in the kitchen shop and pick up a few sandwiches silvers. TEAR DOWN THE WALL Okay maybe you can do something, Zealot. (Good lord Heroes are bulky...) Now that I can get Clarine in here I can start draining the Berserk. DING DONG THE BITCH IS DEAD Now we can finally get a professional in here. Don't care much about treasure at this point but hey some of these items sell for a lot. REKT SAVE STATE 2 MORE SCRUBS FOR THE MEAT GRINDER Like I care I'm loaded at this point. Is Percival gonna have to smack a bitch, Roartz? Is he gonna have to smack a bitch? (Yeah he's gonna have to smack a bitch.) 13 and 14 seem to be my magic numbers. X-Naut
[spoiler=Chapter 20x: Walls, Walls, And More Walls] Can't be bothered to take three separate screens just for groups, so... Left: Geese, Garret, Ellen Middle: Ward, Lot, Roy, Echidna, Gonzales, Lalum, Clarine Right: Zealot, Percival, Douglas Also Lot took the ring so his strength isn't a complete embarrassment. ummmmmm okay ACTUALLY A GOOD IDEA One deployment order change and everything is right in the world. NO DAMNS GIVEN I'll take it That tickled. These might actually be threatening if Ward didn't have pecs of steel. Watch out, we got a badass over here (except not) Why is this solid? Yeah the right side could be called "Percival's Time Off". I save stated here in case the shamans decided to pull RNG sorcery. Never happened but they did get the last laugh. 1. Make save state 2. Burn RNs,kill boss 3. Repeat step 2 until kill part happens 4. ??? 5. Overused joke 6. End update

X-Naut
[spoiler=Chapter 21: 300 Wyverns] EVERYONE ON THE TEAM Gotta love how they just blatantly drop the HM extras on the map as it's starting. They don't even try to hide it. What are these random level 10s doing here? sure Sell AAALLLLLL the junk! Except this. Welcome to the Physic Club. Fight numbers with numbers! ... This is why we need the numbers. Let's get this party started. Hey Marcus, could you send some at that Roy's way? He needs it, badly. Douglas doesn't enjoy being doubled by Wyvern Lords either. That Bishop has overstayed his welcome. And now, THE HORDE. Plus a few random level 5s. Kinda reminds me of the Kiddie Riders from FE4. Anything that thins their numbers is good in my book. Anything. South side's making progress! First horde is finished. RIP wallet Bought a Speedwing for Roy and spent the rest on 20 pairs of boots. And to pass the time while I mentally prepare for the next wave... (also make a save state) Let's go. NEVER MIND BACK THE FUCK UP YOU TWO Okay, we're good. Now we can move on to more important things like charging the shrine and killing this coward. So close... Damn it! Nailed it! That's the last of them. Now for Murdock (and another save state, duh). This is going to take awhile... OR NOT GG MURDOCK I'M ON A ROLL HERE

X-Naut
Forget Zephiel and Idoun. Murdock is the true final boss of FE6. He was certainly the hardest looking at raw numbers, good grief those Hammer hitrates. That fight could have been as bad as Windamnit. [spoiler=Chapter 21x: The Temple of Doom] Odd how the default vision range on this map is thief range. It doesn't even matter that I sold all my torches last chapter! Rough breakdown of my boot usage: 3 for Roy, Lalum, Ward, and Lot 2 for Percival, Clarine, Echidna, Gonzales 1 for Marcus Screw the roundabout, we're taking the express way. I'm being optimistic about dodging Silence, maybe too optimistic... Can't let them sneak by and attack a supporter while we're still passing! Yeah, too optimistic. Shamans may have pitiful accuracy and durability, but god help you if they hit with Fenrir. The passing order is taking some trial and error. I had to restart because sending all the heavy hitters over early leaves nobody to deal with the few roundabouts I have to face. This attempt went much smoother. *incoherent mumbling* And that's our cue to leave. Later, slugs! Oh right, traps. Gotta be careful with Clarine's mouth glued shut. The good news is Clarine is no longer silenced and out of the Druid's range! The bad news is she's no longer silenced and out of the Druid's range. Not much resistance from this point on. Especially not from these. You'd think having a spring-loaded spear launched into your side would hurt more. Didn't care about the Silence Druid. Didn't care about the Brave Sword hero. Didn't even care about this guy. All that matters is I have you. Say your prayers Zephiel, the executioners are on their way.
