You need to predict it, as you can easily lose 2 of your units in just your attack and the next, then have Nihil/Parity/Vantage to stop the bomb from detonating. bearclaw was losing there, but once he broke the Ike x Oscar support and his Wrath Resolve kicked in without letting yours a chance to activate, everything turned upside down.
