Howdy! So, after helping out with another hack and learning some coding here and there, I decided that I wanted to try my own hands at making a hack. I haven't started anything on the technical side (graphics which I cannot do outside of mapping, music which I'd need someone else to help with for specific things, etc), however I have been working on the core story idea and characters for the hack over the past month or so. I have had some help here and there with various segments of this hack so far (thanks to everyone who has helped out on it thus far), and feel like I should share it here on the forums with ya'll for some feedback. Not everything is set in stone, mind you, as things are bound to change (for instance, Nah, Sully, Jagen, and a few other characters were dropped from the characters outright).

STORY:


PROLOGUE

Location: Dragon's Altar
Player Units: Chrom, Frederick, Lissa, Tiki
Enemy Units:


A year after the battle with Grima, Chrom is informed of activity at the Outrealm Gate. Chrom goes to investigate with Frederick and Lissa, and encounters Tiki at the gate. Tiki informs Chrom of a dark energy spewing from the gate, and the party is attacked by a group of soldiers that come from the gate. After defeating the soldiers and their boss (subjective if it'll be an actual character or an OC), Chrom decides the best course of action is to destroy the gate, but before he can do so, Tiki goes through the gate. Chrom and company follows in an attempt to get her back, as well as to find out what the cause of the dark energy is that is seeping from the gate.

CHAPTER 1

Location: Altea (Remake Chapter 16 map)

Enemy Units: Marth (Boss) (joins Chrom's party after the battle), Cain (joins Chrom's party after the battle), Shiida (joins Chrom's party after the battle), Abel (joins Chrom's party after the battle)


It has been a year since the defeat of Emperor Hardin and Medeus, and the kingdom of Altea has been prospering once again under the rule of King Marth and his wife Shiida. However, Marth receives word from Cain that a mysterious gate has appeared near Altea (an Outrealm Gate), and Marth goes to investigate with Cain and Abel. Initially, Marth didn't want Shiida to get involved, but allows her to accompany him anyways.

Outside Altea, Chrom and gang arrives and encounters Marth, whom engages the party thinking they are invaders. However, during the battle when Shiida mentions Marth's name, the battle is brought to a halt by Chrom, and Chrom explains to Marth that he is looking for Tiki whom had entered the gate before them. Marth also explains that he too is looking for Tiki as she had mysteriously vanished some time ago, and the party is ambushed by an enemy force. Marth's party joins Chrom's during the fight, and afterwards they gain word of two more Outrealm Gates appearing by Gotoh, one in Doluna and another at the Ice Dragon's Temple. Marth heads towards Doluna while having Cain lead Chrom's party to the Ice Dragon's Temple. The player will be given an option as to which character they wish to follow at this point.

MARTH ARC 1 (Akaneia)

Location: Samsooth Mountains (Remake Chapter 3 map from FE1)

Marth starts to make his way through the Samsooth Mountains towards Aurelis, the home of Hardin and Nyna. Still distraught over the loss of Hardin, Marth receives word of the nearby villages being attacked by rogues and bandits. Not willing to let this pass, Marth engages the bandits to save the villages. Upon rescuing Julian, Marth finds out that there is unrest in Aurelis as otherwordly warriors have appeared nearby. Marth heads to Aurelis to see if these warriors are related to Chrom at all. Julian tags along in search of Lena, as she had gone missing some time ago.

MARTH ARC 2

Arriving at Aurelis, Marth learns that the otherwordly warrior was battling a mysterious group to save Aurelis. Marth decides to join in and help the warrior, whom bore a striking resemblence to Marth himself. After fending off the mysterious group and saving Aurelis, Marth goes to meet with Nyna, whom informs Marth that Linde had set out to give him the Fire Emblem. Marth learns from the warrior, Lucina, that she had come from the distant future in pursuit of the mysterious group whom had kidnapped and scattered some friends of her throughout the Outrealms. Marth reveals to Lucina that he is heading to an Outrealm Gate as well in search of Tiki, at which Lucina decides to join Marth in hopes of finding Tiki as well as her friends.

MARTH ARC 3

Location: Lefcandith Valley (Remake Chapter 7 map from FE1)

Heading past Aurelis through the Lefcandith Valley, where Marth once battled the Whitewings and found the Fire Manakete Bantu whom aided him in saving Tiki, Marth encounters the mysterious group chasing down a mysterious woman, whom Lucina immediately identified as Tiki. Confused and bewildered, Marth decides to step in to save Tiki from the mysterious group. After defeating the group, Marth learns from Tiki, whom had come from the same world that Lucina did, that she had felt powerful dark energy through the Outrealm Gate, similar to the scale of Grima from her time era and so thought to investigate it. Not wanting to interfere with the current time era, Tiki beckons Lucina to leave with her, but Marth insists on them both staying and helping him with finding his world's Tiki as well as to help them with finding the source of the dark energy that Tiki felt.

MARTH ARC 4

Location: Port Warren (Remake Chapter 8 map from FE1)

Continuing towards Doluna, the Manakete Kingdom, Marth and co. stops at Port Warren in order to gain access to a boat to Doluna. However, the party is soon sieged by the mysterious group yet again. During the battle, the party is ambushed by manaketes from Doluna who were sent by [X]. Confused as to why the manaketes are helping [X], Marth continues to battle them and eventually comes victorious. After the battle, Linde finally catches up to Marth after hearing he had been heading towards Doluna and gives him the Fire Emblem, as well as tags along to help him out in future battles. Marth continues to head towards Doluna, wondering what has become of the manaketes there and what [X]'s grand scheme is.

Upon arriving at the Manakete Kingdom of Doluna, Marth is greeted by an army of manaketes and soldiers, and is immediately thrust into battle against them. However, Minerva arrives to warn Marth of the incoming forces, but is too late in delivering the news as the party is surrounded by [X] and his minions. Fighting valiantly to escape, Marth manages to survive thanks to the combined efforts of his former comrades, led by Merric and Sirius. After the battle, [X] escapes through an Outrealm Gate that was nearby, and Marth follows, leaving Merric and his comrades to defend Akaneia until his return. What strange new world will Marth visit in his quest to find Tiki and foil [X]'s grand scheme?

After days of traveling, Chrom comes across the Chiasmir Bridge where Marth originally fought Emperor Hardin 2 years ago. Here, Chrom stumbles upon a girl being attacked by bandits and rogues, and a mysterious group whom had appeared to attack Chrom. Fighting off the enemies, Chrom learns from the girl, Lena, that she happened upon a child being taken away by the leader of the mysterious group that Chrom had defeated. Not willing to let this stand, Chrom decides to give chase after the group to find this child and rescue her.

CHROM ARC 2

Location: Khadein (Remake Chapter 9 map from FE3)

Enemy Units: Gaius (Thief, can be recruited by talking to him with either Frederick or Chrom)


After traveling past the Chiasmir Bridge, Chrom happens upon the magical city of Khadein under siege by mages, which whom the leader of the city, Merric, was fighting off. Chrom decides to help in fighting off the mages, and happens across a friend from his world, Gaius. Questioning how Gaius ended up in Akaneia, Chrom learns that there had been other Outrealm Gates that had mysteriously appeared across Ylisse, and Gaius ended up investigating them and had ended up in Akaneia. Gaius helps Chrom and Merric defeat the mages, and afterwards joins Chrom in order to get back home. Before leaving, Xane arrives from Khadein to escourt Chrom to the Ice Dragon's Temple, while Merric hurried off to find Marth.

CHROM ARC 3

Location: Graveyard of Fire Dragons (Remake Chapter 12 map from FE3)

After heading north through Anri's Way, Xane leads Chrom to the Graveyard of Fire Dragons, where they run into a pair of manaketes being attacked by several Fire Dragons and mysterious enemies. The elder manakete, Bantu, urges the young girl manakete to escape, and as she does so she encounters Chrom and begs for her to help Bantu. Lena calls her by her name, and Chrom is surprised to find out that it is Tiki. Confused as to what is going on, Chrom helps Tiki to save Bantu from the Fire Dragons and mysterious enemies. After fending off the dragons and warriors, they are all summoned away. Bantu thanks Chrom for his help, and is about to leave when Tiki stops him. Tiki pleads with Bantu to let her come with him, but decides that it is better for her to stay with Chrom. Bantu thus leaves, and Chrom and party continue onwards towards the Ice Dragon's Temple, with Chrom wondering what has become of the Tiki he knew.

CHROM ARC 4

Location: Frozen Land (Remake Chapter 13 map from FE3)

Enemy Units:


Arriving outside of the Ice Dragon's Temple, Chrom encounters wild manaketes and the mysterious group yet again laying siege on the Ice Dragon's Temple. Figuring that the leader of the mysterious group is controlling the manaketes, Chrom rushes into battle to save the Ice Dragon's Temple from any further assault. During the battle, Chrom notices two people fleeing from the Ice Dragon's Temple and attempts to rescue them. After defeating the enemies, Chrom learns that Julia and Leen had been separate from their friends by a mysterious group that had abducted them through an Outrealm Gate, and had escaped from them through another Outrealm Gate where they wound up in the Ice Dragon's Temple. Chrom has the two join him and heads to the Ice Dragon's Temple to confront Gotoh.

CHROM ARC 5

Location: Ice Dragon's Temple (Remake Chapter 14 map from FE3)

Enemy Units: Gotoh (Bishop - Boss), Nagi (Manakete - Boss)


Entering the keeps of the Ice Dragon's Temple, Chrom confronts Gotoh whom had summoned him there. Wishing to test Chrom's strength, Gotoh challenges Chrom to defeat him and creates multiple copies of himself to fight. However, before the battle begins, Nagi interferes wishing to even the odds. Gotoh questions her motives, but allows her to do so anyways. Before defeating Gotoh, Nagi reveals that she was helping with Gotoh's test, and brings forth manaketes and other warriors. After defeating Nagi and Gotoh, Gotoh reveals the location of the Outrealm Gate and gives Chrom information on the mysterious group and their leader. Xane leaves Chrom to continue on his own travels as he did as Gotoh told him, and Chrom continues through the Outrealm Gate, heading to a new world.

A year since the defeat of the Demon King has saw restoration and peace to the lands of Magvel. However, as of late King Ephraim and Princess Eirika have been fighting against fierce warriors whom had invaded their homeland. With the help of King Joshua, Princess L'Arachel, and Prince Innes, these warriors have failed to take over any region in Magvel. However, news has reached Ephraim and Eirika of more warriors appearing from a new gate. Ephraim, willing to go meet the warriors head-on, takes the Sacred Twin relic Siegmund in hand and prepares to leave, but General Seth insists on letting him scope the warriors out. Ephraim allows Seth to go, and Seth sets out for the gate with his squad.

Meanwhile, Chrom arrives in unfamiliar territory and is immediately confronted by Seth. Not willing to be taken in hostage or to be defeated, Chrom prepares to fight Seth, prompting Seth to retaliate. Depending on what happens with Seth:

If Seth lives: Chrom convinces Seth that he is not trying to take over Renais and explains to him what is going on. Seth, finding it hard to believe, decides to allow Chrom to meet with Ephraim and Eirika. The group continues on to Renais Castle.

If Seth dies: Seth asks Ephraim and Eirika for forgiveness for failing to protect them from invaders, and Chrom asks him about the invaders. Seth, with his dying breath, tells Chrom about the invaders. Chrom, feeling guilty over killing Seth, decides to go to Renais Castle in an attempt to help, hoping that Ephraim and Eirika do not retalliate on him.

CHROM ARC 2

If Seth lived: Upon arriving at the castle, Seth goes to inform Ephraim and Eirika about Chrom, but is told by them that they were given information that Chrom was plotting behind their backs. Seth, not sure about this news but not willing to go against his lord's wishes, once again engages Chrom and party. Chrom defends himself and attempts to reason with Ephraim and Eirika. After defeating them, Chrom finally explains the situation to Ephraim and Eirika, who explains that a friend of theirs, Myrrh, had relayed the news to them. Finding out that Myrrh is a manakete, Chrom fears for the worst and asks where to find her. Ephraim and Eirika, not trusting Chrom fully yet, decide to travel with Chrom to bring him to Myrrh to both keep watch on him and to find out the truth.


If Seth died: Hearing news of Seth's death, Ephraim is thrown into a rage. Chrom arrives and Ephraim personally challenges Chrom to a duel. Not wanting to kill Ephraim, Chrom defends himself from Ephraim and defeats him. Chrom explains to Ephraim that he did not want to kill Seth at all and was merely defending himself, as well as the situation to Ephraim. Ephraim tells Chrom that he does not believe that Myrrh would lie to him, but comes to the realization that he cannot be right until he sees for himself. Ephraim attempts to persuade Eirika to stay, but Eirika convinces him to let her go as well, and the group heads off to find Myrrh.

CHROM ARC 3

Location: Narube River (Remake Chapter 17 map from Sacred Stones)
Player Units: Chrom, Frederick, Lissa, Cain, Gaius, Lena, Tiki (child), Leen, Julia
Enemy Units:


Heading northward towards Rausten Court, Chrom head through the Narube River, where he is ambushed by [X]'s forces. [X] leaves one of his commanding generals to deal with Chrom and escape, and Chrom is surrounded. During the battle, a pegasus knight arrives from the north, and following her 4 others, whom helps Chrom defeat the commander and his forces. After the battle, Eirika and Ephraim introduces Chrom to the warriors that helped them, Princess Tana of Frelia, Prince Innes of Frelia, King Joshua of Jehanna, Queen L'Arachel of Rausten, and L'Arachel's bodyguard Dozla. L'Arachel explains to Chrom that she and the others had been visited by Myrrh whom had been acting oddly, and while in Rausten had stolen the Sacred Stone and fled to the Darkling Woods. Ephraim and Eirika fears for the worst and implores Chrom to save Myrrh, and Chrom agrees to do so and continues onwards to the Darkling Woods, led by L'Arachel.

CHROM ARC 4

Location: Darkling Woods

Enemy Units: Myrrh (Manakete - Boss. Can be recruited if Chrom or Tiki talks to her)


Pursuing Myrrh, whom came in possession of the Sacred Stone, Chrom ends up in the Darkling Woods, where the fierce battle against the Demon King took place a year prior. Eirika and Ephraim tries to get information from Myrrh as to why she is doing what she is, but are unable to get anything out of her. [X] appears and takes the Sacred Stone from Myrrh, then leaves her and her minions along with [Y] behind to fight Chrom and friends. During the battle, Chrom manages to break Myrrh free of [X]'s control, and Myrrh helps Chrom defeat the remaining foes as well as [Y]. Eirika and Ephraim convince the guilt-ridden Myrrh to join their cause, and Myrrh leads

CHROM ARC 5

Location: Black Temple

Chrom chases [X] and [Y] to the Black Temple, where Eirika and Ephraim fell the Demon King at last one year ago. Tiki points out that the dark energy is coming from [X], whom explains that she has been gathering dragon essence for her own plans, as well as the Fire Emblems. [X] also explains that she is using each dragonkin she finds to help further her own strength in an attempt to challenge Naga and defeat her to replace her. [X] then engages Chrom with [Y], and [Y] is finally defeated. [X] threatens to destroy the Sacred Stone, but has the stone stolen by Gaius. Accepting her loss, [X] escapes through an Outrealm Gate. Before Chrom leaves, Myrrh, Myrrh decides to go with Chrom to help him defeat [X], as well as Innes, Tana, Joshua, and L'Arachel. Eirika and Ephraim decide to stay behind to guard Magvel from further attacks, and Chrom continues onwards through the Outrealm Gate to a new world.

Chrom's group head out of the Outrealm Gate and end up on the top ship of a ship formation, with enemies surrounding them of all types. Meanwhile, at the bottom, Ike and Soren are speculating about whether they should return to Tellius, with the newfound news that Micaiah had turned on the land. When they see Chrom's group, they rush forward and help out with defeating the enemies that had mysteriously appeared there.


Afterwards, Ike and Soren discuss with Chrom's group, and they come to a decision to turn back the boats and return to Tellius, to find out what was happening with Micaiah.

Ike, Soren and Chrom's group return to a familiar place for the Tellius natives on their way to search for Micaiah to find it taken by soldiers working for a mysterious woman called [X]. [X] runs after seeing Chrom's group, leaving the soldiers to try and kill them. After routing them, Chrom notices a mysterious piece of paper near where [X] was, written in an undecipherable language. Chrom pokcets this piece of paper, in case he found someone who could read it, then continued on his journey to find Micaiah.

While passing through Crimea, Frederick notices another group of enemies up ahead near a town, burning the houses and killing the villagers. Running in, Chrom's group make a decision to find and kill the centre of command to disband the bandits, while the rest of the group extinguish the villages and save the people inside.

While near the most recent sighting of Micaiah, Chrom's group notice a group of enemies blocking their path. In the middle of routing the enemies, an old companion of Ike's (Titania) rides in, warning the group about Micaiah nearby, showing very suspicious behaviour. Then the next turn, some more of Ike's old companions run in: Rolf, Boyd, Gatrie and Mist, coming to help Ike and his group fend off the enemies so they can deal with Micaiah as quick as possible. As soon as the group is routed, Ike talks again with his old companions before running off to find Micaiah.

during chapter, Titania comes in warning Ike of the Dawn Brigade nearby, and maybe some of the rest of the Greil Mercs come too? Mia, Rhys, Shinon and Oscar not there due to character ending reasons

Chrom's group run into Nox Castle to find Micaiah and the rest of the Dawn Brigade had seized it. Chrom immediately declared battle with Micaiah's group, but slowly came to realise that Micaiah was the only one who had actually turned. Once the group gets to Micaiah, they find a way, with Tiki's help, to knock her out and take the spirit out of her - with the spirit turning out to be Nagi after her mysterious turn against good. Nagi then escapes before Chrom's group can ask her why, and Micaiah joins Chrom's group, leaving Tauroneo to hold the fort while she helps take down [X].

So, let me get this straight. Marth and Chrom get into a fight, but despite the fact that Marth is the most prominent figure in his kingdom's history and that at one point his own daughter masqueraded as him, it takes Shiida calling his name for Chrom to stop the fight? I can't even understand Marth engaging Chrom's group in a battle, as Marth really isn't the type to go charging into a fight without assessing the situation. It's the same deal with Seth later on. Why would Chrom resist when being confronted by Seth and his men anyways? He should know by now that suddenly arriving by way of one of the gates would alarm anyone, so as a ruler himself wouldn't he rather meet up with the group and explain the situation instead of causing completely unnecessary deaths? It all seems terribly dumb for these people to kill first and ask questions later. :/




And with the confrontation with the Dawn Brigade at Nox Castle... didn't they kind of already know that Michaiah was the only one to turn bad? The Dawn Brigade isn't even mentioned at all before that chapter, the rest was only about Michaiah. Michaiah had turned, they had to find Michaiah. Hell, even if they were, I doubt those outside of the original Brigade would choose to stay and fight with her. Most of the others are probably done with all this stupid infighting, especially Jill, Zihark, and Meg. Tauroneo probably chose to stay with Michaiah out of loyalty to his Queen, Fiona was never really all that close to anyone there, and I could see Laura and Aran not wanting to have anything to do with a crazed Michaiah.




The mysterious possessions of Myrrh and Michaiah sound very... cheap too. Even making Nagi the culprit doesn't make it any better, because what reason does she have to change? It just feels way too forced.


I could also point out how painfully fanfic-y the whole plot sounds and how badly it seems to jump around but it's 6:20 so I think I'm done for now.

Like I said, not everything is set in stone at the moment and a lot was done on a whim and not fully fleshed out. The whole Tellius arc wasn't even done by me (as I don't know much about the Tellius saga, so I had someone else handle the story there). There's a lot to be done with the story overall, but the core IDEA is there, if you know what I mean.

Some things to go over:

*The whole Marth thing. I honestly wouldn't know if they'd actually have anything that'd look like Marth (sure, Lucina masqueraded as him, but did she really know what Marth himself looked like? Or did she just take his name without knowing what he looked like while wearing a mask? I feel like it's the latter than the former), so that's the route I took. There wasn't any Tiki around to keep the fight from happening either so there's that. Though thinking on it, Marth doesn't seem like the kind to do that. Chrom...I actually can't say. I'd have to look him up more to see how he is again. Feel free to correct me on any points on the story of course, because some things I'm guaranteed to get wrong, at which point I'll need someone else to help with correcting.

*Again, the whole Tellius arc wasn't done by me, and I have like zero knowledge on that arc so...there's that out of the way. The idea though is still there with having Micaiah being the last one to be fought in that arc.

*Nagi is only the culprit with Micaiah, and that was something to do with the main villain forcing her to do her bidding or else she'd die, something like that. Again, I didn't come up with the whole thing with Nagi during the Tellius arc (I was going to have the main villain be the one that was doing...something...to Micaiah). Essentially what the villain was doing with Myrrh.

*Right now, each arc is only 5 chapters long so as to not go too long or too short, but that's subjective to change depending on if any arcs need extra story done to them or whatever. I know the story's not exactly the best and there's a lot to be desired, and I would very much appreciate anyone who knows these characters/games better than I to help out if they feel something isn't right. It's kinda like how I feel Gotoh wouldn't just challenge Chrom like he did, but I wasn't sure on how to incorporate Gotoh into the story (Nagi was randomly added into that fight as well, so as you can see, I do a lot of rough drafting before ironing things out).

Some notes:

*The original idea for the Chrom/Marth encounter was for them to meet up and then both get ambushed by the main villain, kinda like what happened during the Prologue, and during THAT encounter is when Chrom would find out about Marth and about the whole situation with Tiki. I might actually go with that idea over Marth fighting Chrom.

*The original idea for Marth's Akaneia route was to have him go to the Ice Dragon's Temple instead of Chrom, since Marth knew how to get there, while having Chrom head to Doluna. I decided to switch this around as to give the characters a bit more...characterization with some of the other characters. I don't know...maybe I should flip it around? Though that would make Merric heading to where Marth was with his little army pointless as Marth would've already been by Khadein if his route was Chrom's route...hmm.

*As you can probably tell, I haven't come up with any good ideas for the Elibe or Jugdral arcs. Originally the Jugdral arc was going to be Lewyn/Levin challenging Marth to see just how powerful and just Marth is, then helping Marth out while chasing down the main villain, but I don't know how that would go (I don't know Jugdral that well despite having read FE4/5). Also, the whole thing with Fae is kinda like what happened with Myrrh (same thing with Nowi). I believe the idea was that the main villain was using something that could control or utilize dragons to her will (I dunno....a dragon's flute you can say). *shrugs* The whole idea behind the main villain's motives are A) Gathering up the essence of dragons for some purpose that I need to fully decide on and B) Collecting the Fire Emblems for said purpose. The story synopsis doesn't go too deep into detail with each chapter, I'm afeared, since for instance in the chapter where Marth gets his Fire Emblem, that's where Marth would learn about the villain trying to get the Fire Emblems as that's where he would fight said villain's flunkies.

*The Magvel route's first two chapters and last two chapters were pretty much supposed to go the way they were for the most part. Though in all honesty, how would one react to a bunch of people popping out of some random gate? I think it's also stated in Magvel's Chapter 1 arc that Seth kinda questioned the whole ordeal too (though honestly, it feels like that's something Ephraim would do too. Especially considering that ya know, Myrrh wouldn't leave the forest unless something bad was going on. Hmm...).

*Again, Tellius route isn't done by me, so I can't speak much on what's going on there.

Which was supposed to be:

The whole idea of Seth dying isn't going to be done at all, so that part's out. Magvel route is going to go a bit differently, but mostly the same. For instance, you will still fight Seth, but the only reason you even fight him is because, knowing him, he wouldn't disobey any orders from either Ephraim or Eirika in the first place even if he was doubting the situation at hand (which he is in the opening for the Magvel arc I do believe it states). Although thinking on it, Ephraim would also be doubting the situation too normally I'd think, but since it's from Myrrh...

Also, for those curious, I am working on the dialogue script for the Prologue and Chapter 1 events. In fact, the dialogue is changing how they work a bit (for instance, you will not fight Marth in Chapter 1 at all and he and his troops will be allies for the fight in that chapter). For those interested, this is the current dialogue script (which I think helps shed light on the story moreso than the story synopsis). If anyone can look these over and let me know if anything seems out of place or doesn't stay in-character with any of the characters, that'd be great. I can't say that I know all of the characters well enough, and some are going to be really, REALLY hard to do (such as Cain and Abel). I've been spending a good couple days now on just these two chapters in general trying to make sure it doesn't sound terrible and too out-of-character (Lissa is surprisingly difficult to get right I feel...). Chapter 1 I'll be doing in-game and then showing screenies of that I suppose, unless you guys would prefer a video for that? I don't have all of the in-battle sprites so I can't really show those, nor all mugs. Hey, I'm not a graphics guy ok!? T-T.

Frederick: Is something troubling you?
Chrom: There is something suspicious about that woman. Her knowing about the Brand is one thing, but...what is this talk about other Fire Emblems in other worlds? Can such a thing be possible?
Tiki: Perhaps. She could be speaking of other worlds such as the world that the children once came from. I...cannot think of Naga going to any other worlds aside from our own world.
Chrom: Perhaps you're right. But that doesn't answer why she's looking for them or "dragon essence".
Tiki: Yes...I'm more bothered by her wanting "dragon essence" than the Fire Emblems. Whatever it is she is planning, it cannot be of any good.
[Gate acts up]
Lissa: Um...this isn't going to end well, is it?
[Enter Y and Z and their minions]
???? #1: Hmm? Well, well, lookie here! So this is what X was freaking out about? Pffft! What's she worried about!?

Frederick: I could rally up some ballisticians and have them destroy the gate if need be. Or perhaps have Miriel use her magic to destroy it? [* Why Miriel in specific? Certainly there are court mages, or other people to ask.]

Tiki: This dark energy...could it be Grima!?

Chrom: Gods...why is this happening now? Who was that woman? Why is she after the Fire Emblems and "dragon essence"? I don't like where this is going. It feels like something big is about to happen again. Sumia, Lucina...stay safe for me. We'll all be back soon.

Chapter 1 Dialogue Script (not finished):

*At Altea Castle*
Cain: ...And that is my report, sire.
Marth: So a mysterious structure appeared not too far from the castle, there has been sightings of warriors coming from this structure, and the most recent sighting was of a group with a woman who was struggling against them?
Caeda: What could this mean?
Marth: Certainly nothing good. I can only hope that that these warriors are not malicious and will not start a war here in our land.
Cain: Shall we engage them?
Marth: No. I do not think it would be wise to do so, especially since we don't know their motives yet. However, I do think it would be best to give their leader a visit.
Abel: Ah, sire! Let us accompany you, lest they prove to be hostile.
Cain: Perhaps I should gather some of the other soldiers to come along as well?
Marth: No, that won't be necessary. We do not wish to present ourselves as aggressors. You and Abel should be more than enough to guard me.
Caeda: I will come along as well. If anything were to happen to you...I wouldn't be able to bear it. If worse comes to worse, we could easily escape on my pegasus.
Marth: Caeda...
Cain: Do not worry, sire. Abel and I will make sure to keep milady safe. If anything were to happen, we will draw the enemies' attention while you escape.
Marth: I will not leave anyone behind. If we must fight, we fight together. Let us hope that we do not have to engage, however. This land has seen far too much bloodshed already.
*Outside Altea Castle*
(Enter Chrom, Frederick, and Lissa)
Frederick: It would seem that we have arrived, sire.
Chrom: Yes, I can see that, Frederick. The question is where, though.
Lissa: The better question is where's Tiki? Shouldn't she be around here?
Frederick: Perhaps she followed her lead on this energy she was feeling. There is a castle nearby, so it would be ideal to go there first.
Chrom: You're right. Maybe we can figure out where we ended up as well.
(Enter Marth, Abel, Cain, and Caeda)
Lissa: Well speak of the devil! [* This phrase I'm very sure wouldn't fit anywhere in FE] It looks like whoever lives here has already decided to come out and talk with us.
Marth: Greetings, fellow warriors. I do hope that there has not been any troubles coming here?
Chrom: Ah...you could say there's been some trouble...
Marth: Pray tell me, what kind of troubles ails you?
Chrom: There has been trouble recently at...
Marth: Huh? Is something the matter?
Chrom: I'm sorry, I feel like I'm being rude. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Chrom, King of Ylisse.
Marth: Ah yes, we haven't properly introduced ourselves to one another. I am King Marth of Altea.
Chrom: The Hero-King, King Marth!?
Marth: Haha, well. I don't think that title is really befitting of me, but I am indeed King Marth. In any case, what was it you were going to tell me?
Chrom: Ah, yes! We came here looking for a friend of ours that went through the game a little while ago. She came here following dark energy, but when we came through, we did not see her. Did she happen to come across your castle?
Marth: Sadly, there has been no woman to come to the castle lately. I do hope that your friend is alright. But...what of this dark energy that you speak of?
Chrom: We don't know anything about it yet. We've only just learned about it moments ago after fighting with some otherworldly warriors who came to our world.
Marth: Other world, you say? So this structure is a gateway between worlds?
Chrom: Yes, this is the Outrealm Gate...well, one of them. There's supposed to only be one, but it seems that another has appeared in this world.
Marth: Interesting...and would there have happened to been others that came from your world?
Chrom: As far as I'm aware, we're the only ones to come through this gate. Has there been trouble here as well?
Marth: Not yet. I have gotten reports of strangers coming from this gate, but no information on their activities. Still...this gate seems like trouble.
Chrom: I have that same feeling myself actually.
[Enter Y with random mooks]
Y: Aha! So they did follow us after all! And here Z didn't think you guys would! Boy, wait till I tell him he was wrong!
Frederick: It's that ruffian from before! Do not fear, milord! I shall apprehend him!
Chrom: Wait, Frederick! Don't be reckless against opponents we don't know anything about.
Marth: Who are you?
Y: Oh, so sorry that I don't have the time to introduce myself, your highness! But you see, we have business to take care of within that castle of yours, so if you'll excuse us...
Marth: Halt! Name what business you have at the castle first.
Y: Hmmm....perhaps I shall! Would you so happen to have this world's Fire Emblem somewhere within your castle there, in a chest or wherever you nobles store your precious heirlooms? I'd like to take it off your hand, if you don't mind that is.
Marth: The Fire Emblem? Why do you need it?
Chrom: Wait! Do not trust this man! He is one of the soldiers we fought moments ago.
Y: Why, I never! How rude of you to say that! You're gonna give your highness the wrong impression of me!
Marth: ...No, I do not believe that you have any good intents here. You would not have come here with an army of your own had you have good intentions.
Y: Hmph! Well, if you're going to be this rude, then maybe I should give you some lesson in etiquette, eh!?
[begin battle]

Y: Rrrrrrrgh! These other guys are pretty tough too! Guess I've no choice but to bail out again!
Frederick: Halt, ruffian!
Cain: Do not think that you can flee!
Y: Who said I was THINKING of it? I'm saying I'm DOING it!

Frederick: I must apologize for my rash behavior, sire. Had you not stopped me, I may very well have fallen...
Chrom: Don't worry about it, Frederick. Just try and not let your duty get the better of you next time, alright?
Frederick: Of course, milord.
Lissa: He didn't seem like the kind that could use magic at all. I guess these guys are just full of surprises! So what now? That jerkface got away, and we still haven't seen any signs of where Tiki may have gone.
Marth: ! Did you say Tiki? Would that happen to be the friend that you're all looking for?
Chrom: Er...yes. She came here not too terribly long before we arrived.
Marth: I see...I'm not sure what to make of this. You see, a while ago Tiki disappeared from Altea and we've heard nothing about her since then...
Chrom: Altea!? Wait, just where did we end up?
????: Is everything alright?
Marth: Ah, Elice! What're you doing out here? It's not safe to be leaving the castle yet.
Elice: I couldn't just leave you out here alone. What would I do if something were to happen to you, Marth?
Marth: It's alright, Elice. I would never do anything that would end up leaving you alone.
Lissa: Hey Chrom? Do you think we somehow ended up in the past or something? I mean...this is a little too surreal, don't you think?
Frederick: I am a bit skeptical myself, but it does seem like this could very well be the Hero-King of legends. What do you make of it, milord?
Chrom: It's hard to believe, but I do believe that this is the real King Marth. Either we did go back in time, or we ended up in another world altogether. Perhaps this is Naga's intervention...
Lissa: But why would Naga want us to come here? Wouldn't she have told us first before dragging us off to other worlds?
Chrom: Hmm...
Marth: Ah...Chrom, was it? I apologize for the interruptions. I would be honored if you would stay in my castle for the night. I was thinking of going out in the morning to search for Tiki and find out who these people are, and would be honored if you would all would come to help.
Chrom: I appreciate the offer, but I do not think we have the time to spare for this.
Marth: I understand that you wish to find Tiki quickly as I do, but we must not rush. We need time to prepare for the journey ahead, and we could all do with a rest after that battle.
Chrom: ...
????: Marth, can you hear me?
Marth: ...! Sage Gotoh, is that you!?
Gotoh: Yes, Marth. It has come to my attention that two new structures have appeared in Akaneia.

Dialogue scripts updated some more. Having some issues with the Chapter 1 post-battle script though. Hopefully once I'm done with Chapter 1's script, the rest of the game's scripts won't be nearly as long outside of the ending T-T

I'm going to try and get something done for Chapter 1 in terms of putting it in-game and everything. Again, I don't have all of the sprites and whatnot available, so I'm going to have to improvise with sprites (and some mugs). Would you guys actually prefer screenshots or a video??

Why Chapter 1 btw? Because I don't have a map for the Prologue and have NO idea how to even do something for that one. I'm thinking of reusing the Dragon's Table map from FE1/3/11 or whatnot for the map, but altered. I'm not certain as there's no good screens of it from Awakening, and the one I HAVE seen, I don't think I can mimic in FE7 at all. @_@;

Thank you. I'm gonna need it lol. I was thinking of doing all of the groundwork before actually doing any coding/eventing/whatever (basically, what you see in the first post with the story and characters), so that it's all sorted out. Had I not posted those here, I fear that it would've turned out worse than it could've, so thanks to everyone that's commented so far and keeping me on track with how everyone would be. I hope to have your continued support/feedback/criticism in the future. ^^

I have a request thread if you want any assistance on that aspect. I'll probably see if I can try the map myself sometime today and you can have it for nothing so you see if you'd want later works in the future.

@Skitty of Time: That'd be swell if you could help on that particular map. We haven't figured out what to do with Dragon's Table at all lol.

@The Objection!: True final chapter you'll get to use both Ephraim and Eirika. In fact, true final chapter (requires you to have Chrom, Marth, Ike, Micaiah, and both Tikis alive at the very least), will have you use most of each of the series' Lords and both Tikis for the final battle. This would include: Marth, Seliph/Leif (haven't decided which yet), Roy, Ephraim, Eirika, Ike, Micaiah, and Chrom for the Lords (and of course both adult and child Tiki). Whether or not you'll have anyone else for that battle, I have yet to decide.

For those curious to other maps done for the game thus far, here you go:

Chapter 1 Map (based on FE1/11's Chapter 16 map IIRC):

There are more that need remastered for FE7 style, and most of them are just well...remasters (11 maps from FE1/3/11/12, 7-8 maps from FE13, and ~5 maps from FE4/5, FE6/7, FE8, and FE9/10 in general). You may notice, in all of this, there's NOTHING for FE2, so why isn't that being represented? The only representation it'll have is with Gaiden chapters for maps. That's pretty much it (there's really not much I can DO with Gaiden so it's relegated to just those chapters, if I can even make use of them...).

The Chapter 1 Map. Ignoring the fact that this is still Lyn here with a Child Tiki portrait, the party you get here consists of Chrom, Lissa, Frederick, Marth, Abel, Cain, and Caeda (not pictured is one of the knights). The boss is behind his cronies there, who is level 5. The cronies are all level 2-3 I believe. Nothing special here. The map though?

Fans of the series can probably tell which map this is off the bat, though slightly modified. This would be FE1/FE11's Chapter 16 map "Battle for Altea". Expect to see quite a few maps like this throughout the hack!



That's all I got to show right now. There's nothing to show with equipment or in-battle sprites yet. I need help on that front (I'm only a storytelling and eventing guy right now! I'm no graphics guy!). Hopefully some of ya'll would be interested in helping on this hack. ^^;

Don't worry, the Eliwood mugs aren't going to stick around (I don't have anyone to make the portraits be FE7 styled either so...).

Also, that's because Gyazo captures it on my screen. My VBA is that large on my own screen. ^^;

In other news, decided to try some mapping for my hack, doing Chrom's Chapter 1 Akaneia route map. Please note, it's not 100% finished!
