From what I've seen, there is very little limit on what can't be passed (though Hector can't get Swordbreaker), but the biggest gripe I have is the the unit sacrificed for inheritance must be able to learn the passed skill. For example, I wanted to give Sanaki Raudhrraven+ from my Henry. But since my Henry is 3*, he can't give it to her, he'd need to be 5*, which is an absolute joke. Whales will be able to give close counter to everything as well as do dumb thing like give Effie a Brave Lance+, but it's pretty much useless for free players who only have 3* to spare. Unless they change how it works, I think it's a horrible addition to the game. I really hope they change so that even a 3* character can pass a 5* skill. I wanted to sacrifice my 3* Gordin for Vantage, but they can only pass Vantage1, which is a joke.
