Is this the first time stuff like this has happened with your neighbors.

I don't really go outside but the parents are rather vulgar and suspicious looking

i want my old neighbors back

pls, I didn't mean to lol, but I did

the son was like 3 years old

See, now that's different.

Are we talking whipping, like it's [supposed] punishment for whatever, or are we talking trying to fight that kid like he's throwing hands with an adult?

Yeah you might want to call the police if you hear anything ever again.

If they're hitting a 3 year old that 3 year old better have committed deicide for it to be justified.

oh man what do i say.......

"my neighbors are a bad influence on their children"

See, now that's different.

it was some kind of smacking and lots of profanity.. i don't believe in swearing in front of children or using physical punishment

I'll agree that swearing at a kid is pushing it quite a bit(see: a lot), but I dunno, unless there was clear intent to hurt that child, then I can't really say it was anything more than punishment.

Still though, my condolences you were made uncomfortable by this whole thing. Go eat some ice cream.

He's 3 year old. What could a 3-year possibly do to deserve a punishment like that.

Stuff like that fucks with you later on.

They're too young to know what's going on, it's terrifying.

The swearing was overdoing it, absolutely, I just said that. The whipping itself, unless it was intentional abuse, is not, which is what I'm talking about.

Unless it's a continual thing, like something that kept happening, then it will, because it'll be the abuse I just said. One time? You're embellishing it. Then again, we can't know for sure if it's a consistent thing or not, there's only one account of it happening.

And for the record, I'm not condoning this, I'm looking at it from the other perspective, so no one get it twisted.

Yeah, because parents used to be totally better, amrite? I'm sure kids loved being hit with a belt just because dear papa came home drunk like was common in the 60s

Sorry, Shirley, but it's my biggest pet peeve when people complain about the "nowadays" when the past was much worse

parents being physically abusive towards their children is way less common nowadays than it has ever been. I mean, there are plenty of places in which beating your child is even a crime.
