eefara
Probably a really stupid question, but what is AS? It shows up on the detailed combat window.
Shadow Mir
AS is Attack Speed (ergo, the unit's actual speed stat). Depending on what a unit is using and their stats, their AS can differ from their speed stat. Tables
AS is attack speed. If you're using a light enough weapon (Wt less than or equal to your STR), AS = your speed. If your weapon is heavier, you lose AS equal to the difference between it's weight and your STR. Almost all calculations, such as if you double, your avoid etc. run off of your AS, and not your speed. This means that weapons which are too heavy for you should be considered with caution. Incidentally, this is something I'd worry about with mages who tend to have low strength growths, but especially Soren.

Da Bear
as=speed-(str-weight if weight is higher) I think if you have 5 more AS you double You mixed up two of those, it's AS = speed - (weight - str)
