Robertboybobo
I'm at an awkward point for inserting music in my hack: I have: the MP3 files the soundfront, FE7 Native Instrument Map Frooty Loops studio: REQUIRES THE FILES TO BE MIDI Windows XP, if that matters I can't really find a completely trustworthy MP3 to MIDI things, and I'm kind of at a wall. Any ideas on what to do?
CT075
mp3 to midi software generally blows anyway; you're pretty much SOL
Lamia
the formats of MP3 and MIDI are so different I don't think you can get them inserted
Brendor
You're much better off looking for actual midis than trying to convert mp3 to midi Try vgmusic.com
Siuloir
You're much better off looking for actual midis than trying to convert mp3 to midi Try vgmusic.com Be careful with VGMusic.com. A lot of badly done MIDI there. Also, you're going to have to be willing to chop up those tracks quite a bit. But yes, to add further weight to what people have said - MP3 to MIDI is not a road to pursue. Edited June 12, 2014 by Siuloir
deleted35362
yeah, mp3 files are just long audio clips. to insert music for hacks you actually need to have an mp3 and the reason for that is uncompressed audio files while can be read by the gba hardware...kinda sorta...they take up way too much space for the gba to handle if it's longer than like 30 seconds so instead there are a bunch of really short sound clips in the games to be used as virtual instruments for the midis you import. midis are digital note charts. i suggest you settle for only songs that already have the midis out there for you, unless you want to learn how to transcribe yourself. the audio to midi converters really only work if you can find the tracks isolated.
