Silith
So by now we've seen quite a few themed runs of Fire Emblem games with pictures to go along with them. They are fun to watch (though no doubt a bitch to make, upload and post regularly.). Most of these runs limit the player in some way. Only use bottom tier characters. Only use axe wielders. So what is the gimick of this run? Use all the characters! In a sense that is. Maybe Duessell will be too high a level from the get go. Rules!: -Only the 6 characters with the lowest levels at the start of a chapter may fight in that chapter. -Promoted units automatically count as +20. (even if promoted early.) -Any non-promoted character of level 20 does not count at all and may not be deployed. -If recruited mid chapter a character may fight normally in the chapter they are recruited. -Thiefs may be deployed for stealing/lockpicking but not fight unless in the bottom 6. -No deaths and all characters must be recruited. -Characters needed to recuit may be deployed but not fight unless in bottom 6. -Bardic characters may always be used and don't count. -All arena's and repeatable levels may be visited only once. No use of skirmishes allowed except for the one unused map which I can also visit once. I'm sure I forgot a few rules. Let's get cracking. Chapter PROLOGUE! (why don't they just start with 1.....) Of course. We're not pansies. Especially not in Sacred Stones. It's not as if this is going to get hard or anything. I'm not going to die.... Blah blah blah. Can we skip this? Isn't he a horsemen or something? I smell a lier! Madatory. I'm not trusting a lier! Why would he lie about his class? Hehehe. Couldn't he wait till he got an A support? Or maybe he knows somethign we don't.... yet. No. I want the EXP. Go cross on your own or something! Good riddance! Now Eirika can fight some Fighters. Did she just crit with 14%? And did he also hit with 39%? Now the other fighter can walk up. Suuurely he's going to miss.... adasgfasd. No serious. What is this sh*t? 14%-39%-43%... That's like.... 2,5% chance or something. And with true hit it would be even lower. Let's try this again! Much better. Dodgeing both fighters and giving them the good one two. (three four since the first needs 4 hits to die.) Just the boss left. And yes. I'm a pansy who lured the fighters one by one after dieing the first time. Would make an axe to the face/Edward joke. but it looks like it goes behind her head. At that angle it must be going stright through her shoulder cleaving her arm off though. Stupid moving boss. The bush advantage is mine now! Hmmm. Cake. Not bad at all. Though I fear already. For my last two Eirika's had 5 str at level 20. And that's the end of the prologue. Oh stop worrying! Her shoulder armor has barely a dent. That Person's Name
Hahaha dat RNG. At least you got it out of the way, hopefully. Pray to Anna once more to be safe
Refa
That "six lowest level characters/chapter" limit is really going to make this impossible lol.
MartyTheDemonSlayer
Well, it is FE8... I strongly advise you save a lot of money for the secret shop so that come endgame you don't have to fight with unpromoted characters due to a lack of items. Dwarfishh
Cool concept. Only 6 characters will make certain levels a bitch though...

Silith
Level 20 un-promoted units won't count. They will be sitting on the bench till I promote them. The only thing I haven't thought about yet is that when I rn out of unpromoted units to use how I will decide which of the many level 1 poromoted units I will use. Aaaanyways.. Chapter 1. Still feels like this should be chapter 2. Yay. Enemy NpC gets his time in the limelight. And a penis joke line. Oh no. I better hurry up and save Tana before he does those unpleasant things to her and make her a bitter lesbian. And by hurry up I mean GTFO Seth. No EXP stealz. These guys on the other hand are more then welcome to earn some exp. I always found it strange that this soldier always moves but doesn't attack on turn 2. Maybe it's a safefile for if you moves Eirika in his range on turn 1 and the axe dude hit her too. Anyways. It gives all 3 of my units something to whack. wait... Is this hard mode? (double checks.) Yes it it. Damn FE:8 is easy. Eirika gets a level.... And still no Str. The memories are haunting me. Soldier Gilliam weakened goes for Franz on enemy phase which is A OKAy since Franz is the lowest in level meaning he gets the most exp anyways. Not too great but w/ever. His time will come.... I hope. Eirika got D-swords too. Seems like weapon ranks take much less time in FE:8 to acquire too... Hmmm. Oh well. Seth wasn't going to use that Steel Sword anyways. Franz finishes off the last fighter with a sword and with help from Gillam gets his lance to pull the soldier. Basic tradechaining. Yay reinforcements! Get away? Naw. I want that booty EXP. Getting in position for maximum EXP gain. Also.... useless talk convo. Nothing special at all. Fighters can't hit the broad side of the barn. Not even from the inside. Franz and Eirika on the other hand manage fine with their 100% Hit rates. Now only the soldier remains. Eirika loses 5 speed from this sword..... And still doubles. Man that is one shitty soldier. Even for Fire Emblem games. Franz cleans up the last minion and only the cake remains. Eh. The cake doesn't seem to have that great of stats. But I bet it'll give lots of delicious exp if you sink your teeth in. But first things first. Preperations. Seth wasn't going to use those weapons anyways. After one more Talk conversation in which Franz may or may not go down on his mancrush it's time. It begins! Yeah it's going to take a while for that lance to break. Might as well get some support points in the meantime. And when Seth is low on HP. Do we use those vulneraries? Nope. I'm too cheap. Gilliam and Franz can take his place temporary while he heals on a fort. BBA. Or Budget Boss Abuse. It may seem stupid to cheer for 1 exp ticks. But in this challenge slow and steady will win the race. And eventually it is done. Seth gets to move out of the way of the fort. And Franz is such a slutty fanboi. Now that the boss has no weapon anymore I can finally get to business. Suck it weapon triangle! Hmm. The cake was delicious! Good thing it didn't take 87 turns.... oh wait. This guy. I don't trust him. He´s trying to be too smooth with Eirika. He should leave the sexual tension to his daughter who after being stuck in that castle with that boss after all those turns should have bad experience with men now. Atta girl. Comfort her. Silith
So I forgot about the trainee's. I guess I'll count them as negative levels untill they promote the first time. Chapter 2!..... wait. I forgot to screenshot the title. Nooooo. Wait he cannot spare any? But gives some anyways. The filthy lier. I expect to get stabbed in the back by him any moment now. At least he's doing something usefull. It's the last time he'll see any action in quite some time. 1,2,3,4,5,6..... Yup. Still valid. Last chapter in the game I get to use ALL the characters. Errrr. Seems I forgot to give everyone their weapons at the end of last chapter. Better fix that on the way to the enemies. But did he have a marvelous moustache like Moulder? Handsome stranger: 0 Moulder's Moustache: 1. Elixir get! Standard Ross rescue. Damn it Garcia! Don't steal the exp byt hitting stuff! Stuff is finally back where it belongs.... But why did I give Franz the lance not the sword to use? StuffSethDoes. First heal of the game. Give me that 11 Exp. Totally forgot to put trainee's in the rules. Guess they are on ALWAYS USE AS BOTTOM 6 IF NOT BEYOND Tier 0.5. Garcia is a jackass for moveing over to the archer making rescueing him a pain. At least he left the archer in a state where Vanessa could get some exp off him. Franz dodged an axe to the face and is now going to equip the RIGHT weapon.Gods. Am I a noob or what. Strategy I'll use very often this PT. Stronger units weaken while little guys finish for exp. Better late then never. Franz weakens again so Ross can. DAMMIT ROSS AND YOU MISSED TOO! Eirika cleanup. Good thing Steel Swords don't weigh like 9..... oh. Even with Garcia on his back Seth doesn't get doubled. Gilliam on the other hand eats two chops to the face. And isn't even enough of a gentleman to hit back. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Where do you think you are going Mr. Chapter boss. That village's loot is mine even though it's just some crappy Water. Also. You suck! Staff exp gain is going to kill me. Good thing the healer doesn't start at level 1....... Was expecting a miss for a +1 exp tick. But this works too. Hell yeah!. Not the best level but a pretty nice one. Bone the cake can't hit sh*t. Franz is schooling him. But he musn't forget his duty. To get the LOOT! Moustache beats axe. At least the brigand tried. He tried, Missed, Got chipped and Died. Another defensive level for Ross. +1 level-up for Eirika I missed. Those are great for leveling staff users though. Franz has a bone to pick..... Ew. That left a dry feeling in my mouth. And the resulting level isn't that great either. One bandit left. Vanessa hits another Javelin for chipz. She could've at least leveled off that! I'm not sure if I needed to recruit Garcia or if he joined automatically. Took the safe route. PS: Positioned Gilliam on the shop. Enemy attacked and got chipped further down. Ross took the last hit but didn't level. Wait. The Great Garcia? Are all the soldiers of Renais so bad that a level 4 Fighter is "Great" among them? I bet they were tales of how much he sucks. Surprise Buttseckzes.
Silith
So now that I have more then 6 units to deploy I can finally get the challenge started properly. I'll list the levels in order at the start of each chapter. Ross: NoobNeimi: 1-0Vanessa: 1-99Moulder: 3-56Garcia: 4-0Gilliam: 4-43Franz: 4-50Eirika: 5-33Seth: 21-58 Chapter 3! The most uninterresting chapter in the game! Colm is hauling ass. He'll regret stealing Erika's bracelet! But first we get a boo hoo sob story. Anything huh? Eirika is so going to jump right onto that. I'll rescue your friend and you spend the night in my tent. Eirika makes a fine L-cougar. Automatic deployment. More then 6. Oh noes! Good thing none of the enemies MOVE AT ALL UNTILL YOU GET INTO THEIR RANGE. And so the slow chipping across walls starts. Got to get Colm before he draws too much attention to himself. Chipping away. Need that exp. And a reward when he's done. Only 5 levels to go. If he gets 2 every brigand he'll be fine. Give him a real weapon from his pops and lure in the next guy. Colm joins too so the brigand won't walk around Ross aaaaand. The idiot goes for Colm instead. MIght as well. I don't really care too much. As long as that Lv number increases. Moved Ross to the door for an epic axe throwing show-off. Ross won. Next contender pops up. This one could actually win. But the boulder got Ross's back. Here I checked if I wasn't illegaly building support between Franz and Seth. It also reminded me of the chest and brigand there. lol. One side-trip later. Fatherly support. Garcia ia a good dad. Axes baddies in the face for his son. Though not this chapter. Others need the exp more. Thief stole a vulnerary and I try to get it back. Didn't work out. Ended up seeing it go poof when neimi shot him down. Formation Frigging Win. Colm ready to lure over and dodge. The pull is successful and I get to steal from the assholes. But I still wants my vulnerary back. Okay Ross. That's enough. You can't get anymore EXP now. Garcia get that boy away from here. He can sit on the bench till next chapter. Keeping Vanessa in range might not have been the best idea. But she was 99 exp soooo gz on her level I guess. I guess we can call that vulnerary theft even now. Neimi levels. And it's not too shabby. The cake is all that remains. And what a big nose cake has. Might yes. Hit chance... not really. Oh Colm on! And it's not even goeing to be save untill I heal him twice! Two turns alter and he is back in business. And that's what mama likes. Keep doing that Colm. Leaving him at one HP. Nice. Next turn you can finish him o.... lol jk Kill Secure. This ain't right? Eh I agree. Getting killed by an archer is pretty bad. Now to heal everyone up and finish this chapter! Yay. It'll get hard soon.... I hope. Silith
Quadrupple post! I haven't really thought about how to judge Myhrr. Ross: 1-0Arthur: 2-0Vanessa: 2-57Neimi: 2-92Colm: 3-54Garcia: 4-0Gilliam: 4-43Franz: 4-50Moulder: 4-88Eirika: 5-33Seth: 21-58 And they hide under your bed. Yay chapter 4. It's almost as easy and bad as chapter 3. Way to jinx yourself. It never fails. They just wanted to get rid of you. Just like I would if it weren't against the rules of the run. Dude you are like 13. I could whoop your ass as long as sharp axes aren't involved. Oh. Unless you take steroids or something. Damn that's some muscle growth. Pitty I got a clean rom. I can not go for super trainees. Went for Fighter. There is only 1 Ocean Seal and in secret shops a hero crest is much cheaper..... I think. Deploying and positioning all the units I am allowed to. At least I'll never have a hard time deciding who to train and deploy. And she's going to be level 1. Better rush her on turn 2. Greed before need. Garcia could use it since he gave his old one to Ross. He has to work with hand axes and their crappy hit rates till then though. (At least it's not FE:6) Vanessa goes PMS on those undead... demonic... whatever guys. Good level too. Better get her early. She needs to get that phat exp! I need Ross and Vanessa to be in the bottom 6 for next chapter which means Arthur and Lute must level up! Get to burning stuff! Another character I would like to get exp early on. Ross can one-round those eyeball thingies. But having Arthur take a shot first means more exp. And Garcia finally finishes off the revenant he attacked on turn 1. Gay senses are tingling. Damsel in distress. She needs to get laid. Can't keep running away from home because you don't want to marry a guy. Reinforcements pop. I got to get Eirika out of there before she gains exp illegally! Eastern forces clean up and Garcia goes to distract the top left. Bottom left is still alive. Go Lute! Get exp! Garcia... can double something? That's new. Get the newspaper on the line! This seems like ritual suicide from the enemy. Two bad shots. But believe me they were right after each other and both were crits. Anna you joker. I bet somethign bad is going to happen right after this. I'm getting worried Anna. Any morment now... Dissaser. I dind't check Vanessa's health before moving her. But she survived. ASGASFAGSDFS. I dind't capture it because I was drinking Orange Juice during enemy phase. In disbelieve I watched one of those eyeball thingies come up and crit Neimi. I got to restart. THAT'S RIGHT. I LOST ON CHAPTER 4! hahaha.... sigh. Performing a similar strategy. Colm takes Garcia's old spot for reasons. Level ups are naturally different. (and worse.) but I got a vulnerary so it's all good right? I mean. If two of them hit I'm in trouble. but that shouldn't happen logically. (Yay self-jinxing) Oh damn it Colm. You got Str, Skl and Def last time. You´re on your own buddy. If you get out of there and prove you are a MAN you can come back. Okay. Nevermind. You are forgiven. Please tell me no one else can reach him. Pfew. Pretty much made it to the point I was before the BS 2% Crit on Neimi I should´ve given him that axe much earlier. I also cannot stand his face. Good levels for both of them. I pretty much need those two to get exp now. Taking it easy near the end by having Vanessa bait them in. And let Lute burninate them. This chapter´s cake..... It´s a joke. It counts as promoted has crappy stats and isn´t even on a fort, throne or forest. Level 1 Ross can school him. Though not in one/round. After Ross´s weakening Lute can take the cake and level once more. Ending the chapter. We is a strong word. YOU were on the bench. doogs.... At least call them doge. The princess came down to rescue the princess in shining armor. That sentence is pretty confusing. Now you don´t have to actually do work! Classic technique. Make yourself seem mysterious so the girl will fantasize about you and the reunion the next time will be even more.... I should shut up. Chapter 5 coming soon! Silith
Imgur doesn't like me uploading 93 pictures lol. Anyways. Chapter 5! Normally the hardest chapter in the game... I think. Natasha: 1-0Ross: 2-14Arthur: 3-16Lute: 3-47Vanessa: 3-93Neimi: 3-82Gilliam: 4-43Franz: 4-50Garcia: 4-77Moulder: 4-88Eirika: 5-33Colm: 5-97Seth: 21-58 Ugh this guy. Never liked men like that. And I don't like his hat either. Bleh! Didn't remember Glen being here in the story. Also, mugshot of Cake. Unit selection and deployment. Colm is only here in case I can steal something. Funfact. My higest deployed usable unit is level 4. Grrrreat. Oh stop whining and get a job or something. Maybe a spot in my army. Opening up aggresively. I need to clean up the archer to the direct north of the starting position ASAP. This means Neimi takes an axe to the face though. Hey it's Mcarthny. I'm still bummed he's not a bard. Crew cleans up on the west on turn 2. Vanessa got to get those villages. I smell a safe spot. Don't worry. Arthus removes that archer. With a lack of stealables Colm joins Eirika in the corner of shame overleveleds. Ross rocks the east solo. Gave him permission to use a vulnerary. I would've rather Natasha got more healing exp but him not dieing is more important. Vanessa flies to the first village and I take the worst screenshot possible. With the dudes cleaned up on the west side of town it's time to move in to reinforce. Neimi and Lute can handle the archer. Making mages and monks bait units feels wrong. But the rewards! Vanessa saves the far village. Which ironically has the worst loot of them inside. (A torch.) Another nice crit from Neimi. She's been super lucky with those. These two have been at it for a while. But with bandits spawning soon I have to clean McCarthny up soon. This is an intervention. Stop farming dodge exp and save that village! Right on queue. Lute baits another soldier. I'm sure her face will be fine after taking a spear. Plx Ross. Don't take too many of those hits. My precious vulneraries.... What... I'm an item hoarder. Damn it Ross. Stop getting hit! (But do keep on getting levels.) Arthus visits the village so Bandits won't come down. The one Ross is standing on is not visited yet so they will swarm over there. Damn it Ross. Good thing you got two sets of vulneraries . Totally forgot about Vanessa. Go lure that Merc! WAS THAT SO HARD ROSS? Now get a good level-up and you're fine. Face meets palm. Doesn't look like Vanessa is going to win her 1v1 in the top left corner. But relocating and applying a vulnerary turns the tides. More Lute bait n' burn. FINISH THEM. Now Ross, Vanessa and Natasha are the only ones below level 5. I would like to have them in chapter 6. This was a bit risky. But it paid off. I don't think Lute dodged even once this chapter. Good thing her friends are around to clean up. I visit the last village ensuring I get the ring! And now I prepare. Vanessa moves in range and Natasha makes sure she's full HP. He just needs to NOT CRIT. He hits. But it's not a critical! I'm in the save and get him on my team immediately. At this moment it's just a matter of bating the last enemies.... Beat them up for exp. Do my single arena visit for some minor exp and gold gain... Heal everyone up to full for Healing exp.... and face the cake. Damn he is pitifull and managed to stand NEXT TO A FOREST. How... I don't eve..... Let's jsut go an kill him. With an axe user and 2 magic users who can all double him it shouldn't be too hard. Normally promotion is to gain stats. In this case it's me pondering who to get off my team first. It's probably going to be Moulder or Natasha when they reach level 10. You are making it too easy Eirika. Silith
Oh right 5x exists. It's a very uneventfull chapter so I kept it short. We takea pause from Eirika's story to show you the latest sensation in boyband history. The Ehpraimknights! Starrrrring Ehpraim the LEAD singer! Always in balance with a record of being one of the better lords in Fire Emblem history. Kyle the drummer. A hard hitter on a horse. NEIGH BABY! Kayle the guitarist who knows how to swing those swords and lances! Oh.... and that bass guitarist. Morson or something. He's kinda there too. Side starring cakes that you cannot eat yet. And a cake you can eat. Reginleif would make a nice title for a rock rong. Maybe because it sounds like "RAGE AND LIVE!" I got to keep Orson away from ALL THE EXP. He has only one use. Be Merlinus lite. Praise be the javeling taking out that shaman, mage and archer near the walls at the start. Forde does become pretty overleveled by that though. Ephraim screws the weapon triangle. (and gets a good level) Kyle and Forde can clear this map on their own easily. I gave Ephraim the javelin so he doesn't fall behind too much. This map is pretty uneventfull. It's basic bait and kill. So have a shot of Kyle chugging a vulnerary before gettign swarmed. Ding, ding, ding. (Cmon Kyle. Keep up!) Throwing spears at holy men will get you send to hell. It'll also give you pretty good level-ups. I had to use the Killer Lance because Forde only had steel weapons on him and they would not one-round the mage. And the mage would've killed Ephraim otherwise. For every holy man you spear make sure you kill a cultist too. Cake vs Kyle. He was the lowest level so I tried to give him the cakeexp. Sigh. Six turns later..... THANKS KYLE. 3 level-ups and only 4 stat gains. NO. SHUT UP. I'M DONE WITH YOU! GET ME BACK TO EIRIKA'S STORY RIGHT NOW! Refa
I'm pretty sure Myhrr counts as a promoted unit, so take of that what you will, Nope, all of her caps are at 20 (except for HP and Luck, naturally). Tethys on the other hand qualifies, I think? I dunno, I just remember having Nils with crazy high speed and I figured the same would apply here. Silith
I might just count her as level*2 so her cap would be along with the rest of the army. Chapter 6 sucks pretty badly. First time I get into a bit of trouble. My end goal is to finish the game. not to gain all objectives. Natasha: 3-20Gilliam: 4-43Franz: 4-50Garcia: 4-77Moulder: 4-88Joshua: 5-25Vanessa: 5-31Eirika: 5-33Ross: 5-55Arthur: 5-65Lute: 5-90Colm: 5-97Neimi: 6-08Seth: 21-58 Oh Vanessa. Why are you not there to save the villagers. Maybe I can rush the chapter or something... With level 4-5 guys among which are 2 healers. Poor girl. Having to supress her feelings for al the pretty girls. Not if we can save them.... But I kind of want the Cexp too. Oh look. Two non-suspicious gentlemen. Dude. If you want to pick a girl up don't start by runnign at her laughing like a maniac. The kid isn't helping your cause either. And please pick a more... normal topic of conversation. Oh dear.... euhm... The team! 2 healers, 1 slow ass knight, 1 slow fighter, 2 units that may not attack because of the rules. and 2 units who are going to have to put in a LOT of work. Let's start by casting the torch staff to see what I'm deal..... oh gods that's a lot of foes. I guess Garcia has to hold the top side on his own... While the rest holds the bottom. Ugh a sword guy on the top. Figures! The rest of the team is doing fine. Got to remember to keep the rest of the guys out of combat range. Moved Garcia on the mountain to increase his dodge chance. Good level-up. Now just don't get hit by all three of the enemies. Well sh*t. Back to the start. This time Gilliam goes top. Seems to be the same level-up. Yay. They still hurt a lot. And they can double too! On the other flank I own the Weapon tringle now though. Gilliam cannot get his fat ass on the mountain so he has to stay put and chug a vulnerary. Healers patch up the bottom team to get them moving again. Knight moves so the shaman cannot attack Joshua and is forced to attack Garcia who has a hand axe equipped. But I didn't count on that kind of damage. Garcia dodged but it didn't really help. Cuz enemies are healign up north and reinfocements come from the back with Javelins equipped.... Isolated little Gilliam ran out of healing too. I have to restart. Try 3! Moulders starting level is not as great this time. Josua greets the sword cavs coming from the north but does not crit. Franz hold the bottom on his own having to use his sword to pull and then the lance to finish off the fighter, risking as little triangle disatvantage as possible. Bit risky but it worked. The other three go to the top to make sure whatever comes at me there dies ASAP. No healing for you. 13 attack with 7 speed. Natasha can live one turn of that. Reveal to me what is being hidden! (though there is nothing there.) Franz finishes up on the bottom while Joshua claims another horse's soul up top. Gilliam and Garcia try to help a bit.... Heal healing healer with a heal staff whil using heal staff. Healception. Pulling the archer. Should be a 2HKO. Gaining speed is always nice on him. Now to equip the javelins, position on forests and heal up. The reinforcements are coming. Errr. Okay. I can fix this. Just... euhm... I didn't expect them all to rush to the top. First off Franz get up there and do something. Joshua for dear gods. Please crit him! If I move Garcia up too I can maybe hide the healers behind those two? Well partially. Please Anna. Let it hit. W00! Critblickz! This chapter is stessing me out. The others can gang up on another guy leaving only one of the cavaliers. Seems I'm in the green now. Ooooh.... right. I guess it's time to rush the boss. Another sweat moment. It does mean I get the iron axe and not the halberd. But I cannot help that much. So bad news.... I won't get the Orion's Bolt. Good news.. I can now take my time on this chapter. By the way. I find it cruel they make the little girl die first. But even crueler I now have to invest a white gem to promote Neimi. I can now take my sweet time on this chapter. Pulling and cleaning up the enemies one by one. Oh right. He was here too. Stab/axe him in the face. And a good excute to make that Restore staff sing. I use a pure water to pull the shaman down there. I believe there are some knights too. Shaman misses so it didn't matter at all but he could've done 13 damage to Franz which hurts a bit. The sword finishes him off while Garcia axes the knight. I have Natasha and Moulder spam the torch staff. When it breaks I am ready to face the cake. Gilliam pulls. Rest chips in. And Gilliam gets the final blow. He was the lowest level (of the non-healers.) And with that level-up the chapter is at an end. W00 for Gilliam still at 3 speed. Silith
With chapters 5 and 6 being so hard it's a bit weird for chapter 7 to be so... easy. Vanessa: 5-31Natasha: 5-33Eirika: 5-33Ross: 5-55Arthur: 5-65Lute: 5-90Colm: 5-97Neimi: 6-08Moulder: 7-46Garcia: 7-53Joshua: 7-62Gilliam: 7-78Franz: 9-32Seth: 21-58 Must've been those gossiping bitches back from Serafew. I like how everyone says a line as if this is the final battle. I was all like... nope. You're on the bench Franz. My super army off level 5's. Note that the enemies are level 7. Doesn't mean those soldiers are good or anything. Heh. cakeface. Maybe Ross is just Overpowered. Vanessa has less luck facing those soldiers. Got Arthur to clean up after her. Ross is my best bet to pull stuff towards me. But he kind of steals a lot of exp. On the north side Eirika's dodgetanking will have to work out. With a sidedish of Neimi chip. The mage can two-shot both girls so I move Vanessa over for safety. In the meanwhile I got a decision to make on the east side. Go forward and pull everything now like a man. Or back off, heal up and rescue chain the healer to safety. It's official. I have no balls. Mage goes after Lute instead of Ross whick works out for me as well. It takes all three girls to remove the mage on the west. While Arthur and Lute can take care of his brother without a sweat on the east. My plan was to ranged him down with Arthur and Lute but that one spot you got to look out for. Ended up making a squishy wall instead. A quick rescue chain to get Eirika and Vanessa over. While Neimi gets to use her new toy. (Is this the only usable Ballistae you get in the FIre Emblem games?) Vanessa tries to get some more exp since she's the lowest in level now. No worries. Eirika can clean up. Squishy soldiers make for a happy archer on a ballista. Bulky fighters do not. While we wait for the archers to be done with their long range stuff I can easily heal up my team, gets some Orange Juice, change my tires, work out in the gym, and complete my university study. Neimi hit all 4 of her shots so she gets to use the final bolt to weaken the mage. And eventually we get past the pointless time staller. Spot the position I can pull the mercs but not the mage! One by one. Like moths to the flame they come. And without forgetting important side matters. I take them out with.... Errr. I was going to say perfection. That would've been a good moment for an all stat level up... (Also on a side note. Colm got an illegal level-up by stealing. But I said thief utility was okay in this run so it's all cool.) Now with all the real threats out of the way all that is left is to... carefully pull enemies, keep my own dudes alive.... (heal staff broke) and clean up the opposition untill only... the cake remains. he has poor stats. Does not move and has an iron sword equipped? WTF. I take my time for a quick support. And I hope you'll all excuse me. for taking him out in the lamest way possible. Yay. Now for Gilliam to reach level 10 so I can ditch him from my frequent roster. I cannot screencap sound. Damn is the sloshing of the water here loud. Anyways. Cya in chapter 8!
Silith
Oh man. Real life has been kicking me in the girlnats. Anyways. Chapter 8 is up and now I got to decide. Do I go with Eiphraim and his boyband on his tour beyond enemy lines? Or do I continue Eirika's route to charm the lovely ladies? ALSO NOTE. I KIND OF CHEATED THIS CHAPTER. ONLY AFTER PLAYING IT ALL I REALIZE I HAVE ARTHUR WITH ME EVEN THOUGH HE'S NOT IN THE BOTTOM 6. PLEASE LET THIS ONE SLIDE! He wasn't needed for the win anyways. Colm: 6-07Eirika: 6-95Natasha: 7-16Ross: 7-18Lute: 7-22Vanessa: 7-25Moulder: 7-46Garcia: 7-53Arthur: 7-54Joshua: 7-62Gilliam: 7-78Neimi: 8-38Franz: 9-32Seth: 2 Thanks Akbar. Our Fearsome team! First things first. Check Archer range. (since I had to restart the entire chapter from this point the formation was a bit different and apparently Arthur slipped into the team. Sorry.) Then proceed to remove the soldiers. Funfact the first one is only a ORKO for Vanessa about 20% of the time. Colm would finish him off in most cases. The enemy phase goes less smooth. Both enemies hit. Colm wastes uses on his weapon and Arthur leaves the d00d on 1 HP. Nothing we cannot fix. And hey. A nice key. Ross is best bait. Vanessa and Eirika bait the annoying Merc. But why doesn't the turn end on it's own. Oh right the boyband is in town. After losing their Bass Guitarist they haven't been performing so well though. Ross on the other hand. Hot stuff! If only every lord was as good as him. Time to bust in and crack some heads. Wait is that... 6x2 damage? Ross what happened to dealing tons of damage? Better get the rest of the dudes over there to help. But not Vanessa. She has unfinished business. They eagerly pile up on Ross. In hindsight I should've equipped his iron axe through trade. Oh and the boyband is getting critisized about their bad performance too. Eiphraim should do something about the haters. Vanessa cleans up the unfinished business. It seems the knights dropped the soap. Cuz they are getting bend over. And asked politely to pick up the soap. They won't miss this. Oh longbow. My mortal enemy. We meet again. I kind of forgot about this guy. Vanessa can take him though. Pillar powah! More rabid fans appear. But no autograph for them! Just death. Gotcha b*tch. Serves you right for using longbow. I kind of expected Kyle to miss. I didn't want to use any of my precious vulneraries. When crossing a certain line this asshole shows up. I was planning to steal his lockpick. Spot the problem. This is the only alternative.... sadly enough. Yay for reinforcements. Gimme exp. Ross is by far my best unit. I tend to let him bait a lot. letting others finish off for more exp. Master baiting formation. Those mages are scary. But since there are no more reinforcements. I try my best to give exp to the lowest of my units. After the cleanup I heal my team to strength before going west. I didn't remember this water. Flying utility.... I guess. Not that it matters much. Bashing down defenseless walls is fun! MAssacaring everyone cowering behind it. Muhahahaha. Ahem... pardon me. So this knight blocking the gate moves apparently. Probably for the best since he has no ranged weapons. But it also moved him in tange of Lute. The last thing a knight wants to do. At this point I remember the key. Which is great. Now I didn't have to use Colm to open the gate meaning. He's free to finish off the mercs. Hey. He can now steal that lockpick.... 2 little 2 late. Sigh. Well he wasn't going to harm the boss with that anyways. All that is left to do is plunder the loot. And get ready for the cake. Hmm. That's some high HP and good defense he has. Such a tough guy. I must use my mages to weaken him, exploit the weapon triangle. And even then it will be.... Euhm.... Lol. Eiphraim wanted that cake. Dayum. Some resistance as cherry on top. I take my time burning my heal staff. Cleric exp must be gotten too. Getting close to level 10. Finally done. Been on this chapter for almost a week! Brother... why did you come and upstage me in front of all the girls? Yo. Shut yo mouth. Dats racist! No Eirika! She's too young for you! Oh snap. I got to choose between Eirika and Eiphraim route now!
Silith
Chapter 8.5 This cutscene is just too perfect. Imminent flashback. Only kings? eihpraim doesn't seem amused and Eirika is lost in thoughts. What about princesses? Oh nice one Eirika. Good cover. Prayer? It sounded more like you had a girl over. The castle walls are made of stone. They let all kinds of sound through. Heh. I bet you overslept. Poor maid had to make a walk of shame though. Aww. So nice to see her brother helping her cover her fake story. Oh my. So scrap the bro brother. Maybe he's thick skulled. Euhm Lyon. It doesn't matter how effeminate you dress dude. If he's straight, he's straight. Is he... a virgin? A prince virgin? How I don't... Of course he does! Grow some balls. And cut the boyband thing! It's not going to work! Hahaha. Eirika doesn't want that responsibility for obvious reasons... I guess an adopted child ould be the heir... hmmm. I dunno Eiphraim. Not all lesbians wish they were born male. Some just want to be a woman loving another woman. Anyways. End of flashback. Back to reality. They sure got to Frelia fast. Do I see the sparks flying? Hmm. This IS a bit too sappy for me. But which of the two does she desire? And then Innes barges in. He's such a cockblock. Err... Pussyblock? Tana is clearly not amused. Her father is not much better. Don't trust him! Oh my. There are some red flags ringing in Eirika's head. But Myhrr clearly needs a hug. Though more a motherly one. Suddenly the sacred stone is under attack! Oh no! Good thing there were many soldiers. And by soldiers you mean like Berserkers, Generals, Druids and Falcoknights right? Sigh* You stationed actual soldiers? I... just... You wanted to lose the stone didn't you? Hayden is the real evil overlord here! Hunk must have multiple meanings.... I doubt he's a stoneophilliac. Ooooh. Omnious. Though the horrors were already spreading. He looks so shocked..... I'm onto you! I bet they wished they could. Danger? She goes like the opposite direction of the enemies. It's safe..... once she gets past the tower where two of the six enemy generals crushed the sacred stone.. okay maybe it's a bit dangerous. Whoa. thanks for nothing. Only slightly clingy. Clingy brother.... No wonder Eirika wanted to go the opposite direction. Oh wow. Something that actually matters for gameplay. I went with Eirika since she's lower level. Eiphraim route would've made for easier training of Amelia though. Hey Eiphraims boyband showed up. Hah. They had a falling out. Now Eiphraim rides solo towards Grado to torture them with poorly written music. Chapter 9 soon! With actual gameplay.
Tables
Interesting challenge. Allowing one run through the tower will probably help a fair bit - without that I've done two similar challenges in the past (one no promotion challenge, one minimum level deployment with no early promotion), and also allowing early promotion is huge, since you can promote weak units early to get them out of your squad for a long time (actually probably almost forever, given training everyone means you hit level 20 around chapter 20 - maybe slightly earlier since you'll have the tower to use once). But limiting yourself to 6 units could be tricky. Edited August 16, 2014 by Tables
Silith
Yes. If I do this for other fire emblems later on I think I will not limit myself to only 6 units. SS is easy enough to do this but HHM or FE;6 HM won't. And I bring chapter 9 too of course. Tana: 4-0Moulder: 7-46Garcia: 7-53Joshua: 7-62Gilliam: 7-78Neimi: 8-38Eirika: 9-04Colm: 9-19Franz: 9-32Lute: 9-38Arthur: 9-47Natasha: 9-57Ross: 9-60Vanessa: 9-64Kyle: 10-17Forde: 10-54Eiphraim: 11-something.Seth: 21-5 Nothing can possibly go wrong here. It's prety far away. Halves Might right? But she prefers to feed peaches to pretty girls. Who could it be? Who else. She wasn't going to follow Eiphraim over Eirika. I hope not. He cannot be trusted. Aww. Now it's up to Tana to decide if asking if she can eat the peach is okay or not. Oh hey. That guy still exists. Probably chocolate. Women love chocolate. Eirika's pretty girl senses are tingling. And she gets a positive response too. You go girl! I wasn't paying attention and then Dozla says this. Is it still just about Eirika and L'Arachel? Or are he and Rennac joining in somehow. Whelp so much for the peacefull boattrip. She's actually pretty much better then the other units I can field. Unit picks and deployment. Eirika and Colm end up sitting in the starting part the entire chapter while Franz is here tagging behind the legit combat units to recruit Amelia. Gilliam might I add has 3 speed. I hope he can survive this. Yay for Joshua crit. That gets me the ocean seal for Colm. The enemies can barely scratch Gilliam. But his lance hits them all which is great. Others can move in to finish them off. Also... Tana is my only lance user with exisisting speed. Heh stupid mercs. Time to pull that sniper. He hurts. Main threat is out of the way. Time to clean up and move on. Reinforcements need to be dealt with so the near dead Gilliam is allowed to chug an elixir. Heartbreak moment. There was no way for me to get these. Good bye Rapier. Good bye Dracoshield. Good Bye Angelic Robe. Vengeance for lost items. Well not yet. The pirates live but I can vent off some agression here. I kind of want to recruit her.... But there are scary people on the way! Gilliam is getting ready to pull. All these enemies double him. Gladly he survives with 1 HP. One heal later it's time for payback! Don't worry Gilliam that 3 speed is looking sexy. After some cleanup the Killing edge guy gets pulled too. I didn't expect him to do 3 damage. Double Crit would've been bad. More cleanup. Damn. Both are 1 off. Had her finish off the soldier instead. Sigh. With those high bases I had great hopes for you Tana. Gilliam decides to not get doubled by this Soldier scrub. I think enemy axe users in this game are permanently high. They love being inefficient. Could you.... Get less bad stats soon please. I'm trying to keep the dream alive. She's going to leave this turn isn't she? (hint. she did.) With the last reason to hurry gone I kick it down a notch and feed kills to those who need it. Axe reaver soldier gets special attention for being the epitome of fail. He gets doubled by Gilliam who has 4 speed. Almost nearing the end. These guys are just waiting to get pulled one by one. They are almost as fail as the axereaver soldier was. I mean. COME ON. THOSE ARCHERS DO NOT MOVE! Brb in 120 turns when all their bows have broken. Farming +1 exp ticks on Gilliam. So sweet. Those two support. One timemachiene trip later.... Tana can start bullying them. Good thing I can buy Javelins here. And these two can support too it seems. Boss has no healing items. Does not move. Has no fort to stand on..... cmon. Since Tana has outleveled Garcia I let him have the last blow. Speed and Defense are not bad stats on him. He's supposed to be like Dorcas right? Low speed and all. Considering you both did absolutely nothing this chapter.... Also from back that one time in the castle. Stay tuned for chapter 10.... Soon. (yay double digits.) Silith
Chapter 10! w00p.... Eirika: 9-04Colm: 9-19Franz: 9-32Lute: 9-38Arthur: 9-47Natasha: 9-57Ross: 9-60Vanessa: 9-64Kyle: 10-17Tana: 10-23Forde: 10-54Garcia: 10-56Eiphraim: 11-something.Neimi: 11-49Joshua: 11-65Moulder: 12-10Gilliam: 12-42Seth: 21-58 Such a shocker! Yay double digits! Hah. More shockers. NpC's suck. My grand rescue team! Anyone who starts speaking like that has to be evil. My end of turn 1 formation is grand. Do not steal for LTC plx. Innes is wasting Silver bow uses and cexp. BAD INNES! Of course he hit. Having the mages for ranged chip and execution is really handy. I think last chapter's team would've struggled. Actually scratch that. Gilliam would tank all. Colm getting str. He's also capable of promotion now. But you know.... not yet. I rush Eirika forward to have her recruit the expwasters. But that was close. Statistically speaking I was just fine. But damn. I really need to keep Eirika going forward. The others can clean up. I thought to weaken this guy with Eirika and this time he actually hit. Eirika quickly responded with a crit. Please. Gerik stop! Lute misses a 95% hitrate. Franz is capable of cleaning up and forming the WALL! Poor Colm is now tanking hits. At least he got a level. He's getting more str and more.... non-speed. The wastetrain goes on. Choo choo! Special attention to this lovely archer. Does not move at all. Worse then the axereaver soldier? Possible. Axe users incoming. Swords at the ready! So of course the soldier moves.... Why did he not move last turn? Next turn! I'm loving the Elfire tome. I was worried about the handaxe brigand so I moved Colm up. Arthur had to take his place in the wall. Yay for making monks tank axes. Ugh right.... This chick. 21% chance of both hitting.... Not counting true hit which only lowers that percentage. I hate you Innes! Steel sword mercs hurt. Not that that means you can just walz up to the enemies including a recruitable GERIK! You two on my team now! Oh gods. Don´t do this to me! Compared to Joshua who joined much earlier. 24 8 13 14 7 5 2 5 8 Yeah. She´s actually worse. Steel swords no more! Clever trades are clever. Always use the right weapon! I´m so happy the brigand missed. Because that archer could´ve been fatal. Round two! At least now Marisa has already been recruited. Holy batshit reinforcements. Time to cuddle in a corner like little scared kitties. Heh. That´s that problem gone. Sigh. I did not expect this. I doubted Colm would get to her in time. The Falcoknight is the only scary one to the bottom left. I allow Innes to have that one. Poor cexp that went to waste. Franz tries to hold the point. but he is no Draug. He´s going to need help eventually. But the others are busy too. Lute got doubled because of Elfire weight. Heh distraction. She´s pretty dodgy. The stars aligned and I was able to get the talisman. Now to get out of this mess. Eirika is a one-shot. And she's in range of that Pegasus. But also in range of Natasha if I move Marisa. So naturally I have both Eirika and Marisa take out one peg to open the way for the healer. The amount of flying units has cleared up nicely. But there is more then enough where they came from. Innes makes himself usefull by recruiting earhoops. Gets a naughty dance as reward. The plan is to pull the into the small corridor with Franz while Lute and Arthur shoot over the wall. I finally clear up the assholes to the south. Poorly taken shot. This ranger could double Franz. Danger danger! The shooting of his lackeys goes pretty swell though. Marisa gets her first level-up on the side.
Silith
Chapter 10 pt.2 Only 100 images allowed.... Or 99? Innes goes into a duel of the promoted units! Who will win?!?! Lol jk. Eirika gets the exp.. Now that the reinforcements are gone. It becomes a slow game of..... Feed the lowest unit exp. Oh that archer on the right is the dumbass who never moved. Innes does something usefull again. Tanking ballistae shots! Montaaaaage! Innes visits house and gets a BJ. Seriously. DO NOT STROKE HIS EGO! Two steals in one chapter. Pretty nice. My single allowed arena run. The soldier missed and ended up giving only 20 exp and 741 gold profit. Today's cake. Eh. Not impressed. These two get a support! Yay B-supports. Okay. That's pretty sad. But I think.... We can make that worse. Stuff happens while waiting for his weapon to break. Because colm was on a roll. And why not. Stealing exp! It's like Skyrim all over. Stripped him of all he had. She leveled while getting Marisa closer. Pablo has pretty high speed. You need 17 to double him.... So it takes a while to take him down. Finally. It's over.... Is he... a feminist?
Silith
Slowly getting further. Now this time with a few less screenshots. First of all. My last time didn't save well. I had to redo the boss from the last safestate. Irony that Marisa is now one of the higher level units. Tethys: Dancer 2-51Ross: 9-60Vanessa: 9-64Kyle: 10-17Tana: 10-23Forde: 10-54Garcia: 10-56Eiphraim: 11-something.Gerik: 11-12Neimi: 11-49Lute: 11-62Joshua: 11-65Eirika: 11-84Moulder: 12-10Arthur: 12-38Gilliam: 12-42Colm: 12-64Franz: 12-89Natasha: 13-00Marisa: 13-22Seth: 21-58Innes: 21-63 Oh gods. No healer! To avoid combat you take the creepy dangerous mountain path. Are you daft Eirika? GOSH. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT! No innuendo. Bring in the girls! The team. No healers or torch staves..... Oh gdos I had to take vulneraries and ACTUAL WOODEN TORCHES with me. ugh. I'm so glad I allowed thief utility. Let's not forget to put this back on. Dozla is a boss. He is my fav FE:8 unit. Well he was before this PT. I'll dub an official favorite after the PT is done. With no healers.... misses are welcome. But only from the enemy. Vanessa is back baby! 15 speed is good. I'll need some speedy units to deal with those assholes. You might remember them as those things you can not double all the time and deal 0 damage to your units. Jsut that I am about 10 levels lower then is normal here. Only Vanessa and Tana won't be doubled. Ross. Please. I know you are a pretty solid unit. But with that kind of levels you WILL fall behind. So much trouble for one dog. or.... Doog? Stupid longbow archer gets baited and..... doubled by Garcia? Who has the same speed as Ross. Something is wrong man. Forming up and eating vulneraries. Did I mention not having a healer sucks. WHOA. I do NOT remember these things being that dangerous. Granted that Kyle only has 1 resistance. He needs that elixir proc. More doge. Show up. I have Ross and Garcia take care of the revenant reinforcements from behind. I am pondering if I should use the secret book or cash in 5K. Scary gargoyles. can double units. But Kayle was like. NOPE and crit him in the face. (Didn't do it justice with the screencap though.) Garcia and Ross start to get pretty low hp. Ross shows off why he used intelligence as a dumpstat. The gates of hell have burst open..... No seriously. That's a lot of doods. Luckily confined to only 2 spaces wide. And the archer was dumb enough to move in first. Note Eirika rushing west for... important matters. Guys... please. Speed.... anytime soon. Pleeeeease! Forde is glowing pink when his Gaydar goes off. She remembered her name.... threes? Oh you mean Tana? I dunno if she's up for that..... no Eirika. get those thoughts out of your head. It's too soon! Blue team... NOW! I bet Colm has a short spear. Low constitution. Those eyeballthings are not so tough now are they? L'Arachel is level 3. She has to get to work. ASAP. Whoa! This guy is dangerous. He can ORKO anything not Tana/Vanessa/Dozla. And he is NOT the cake? I mean he's good exp for the axefamily who just returned. Tana caps Speed. Time for promo? Naww she can get more Str! I don't remember this screenshot. But horsefarts come to mind. Ross... no... please! I totally skipped past the support between Forde and Kyle. It was somethign about charcoal sketches during battle. Having Forde bait all enemies might have been a bad thing. That exp could've been more well spread. So... I killed everything coming at me.... but I feel like I've missed something. It's a good time to level L'Arachel a bit. She has a LOT of catching up to do. SUDDEN CAKE. Good thing Vanessa was out first. She can survive a hit. And she won't be doubled. The best person to give the kill would probably be Ross. But Vanessa is not much ahead of him. Or so she was. If only Ross could hit. L'Arachel is torching the place twice a turn. Such a show off in front of the girls. Eventually. Ross hits. OMNOMNOMNOM CAKE! His intelligence and Charisma went up a point. Sadly those are useless in Fire Emblem. She wasn't that usefull but flattery might get you some. Textskip! Ha! had my name and adress. We also should've made out at least twice, visited each others parents and swapped panties by now. I guess Eirika went the safer route. SETH! Don't be a pussyblock! That's right sweetheart. Pretend you didn't know yet. Obviously pretending to be hard to get. But L'arachel is going for it. Oh this guy visits too. Harrassing women. Good thing our Faminist is here to save the day. And crits the heartless villain in the FACE! Good job Valter. oops. I guess the next chapters starts right after. Save State and see you later folks!
Silith
This chapter is.... really bad. Whoever designed this has to.... learn to map design. Tethys: Dancer 4-42L'Arachel: 5-13Eiphraim: 11-something.Gerik: 11-12Neimi: 11-49Lute: 11-62Joshua: 11-65Eirika: 11-84Moulder: 12-10Arthur: 12-38Gilliam: 12-42Colm: 12-64Franz: 12-89Natasha: 13-00Kyle: 13-04Tana: 13-11Marisa: 13-22Vanessa: 13-24Garcia: 13-31Ross: 13-60Forde: 14-03saleh: 21:00Dozla: 21-13Seth: 21-58Innes: 21-63 Eirika is just minding her own business when suddenly. Saleh and L'Arachel were apparently watching her. Oh noes. Good thing Seth her loyal knight is here to protect her dignity. The rest of that scene is too awkward to show. So have the unit deployment instead. Just to see how many enemies move I ended my turn without doing anything. It ends up being so that only the spiders move. The rest of the enemies are set to only attack if you are within their range. I guess it's good training for L'Arachel. If they came in more then one at a time they might be a bit scary. Oh oh this one poisoned Eirika. Let me get my..... 3 torches.. But no restore staff? Well at least L'Arachel has something to heal for 5 turns. When the spiders die I can safely pull the enemies one by one. It's quite dull. I kind of half fell asleep. It almost cost me too. Those two gargoyled could've killed Lute. One missed though. Joshua still barely doesn't double doogs. Oh dear. Euhm. I don't feel like restarting for this so sory for the illegal moves here. Saleh is going to wreck these dudes. Euhm. You've been stalking me for 30 turns now in only two chapters. Are you flirting in the middle of a battle? She told you BEFORE you joined the army. Err plothole. You haven't revealed your identity yet L'Arachel. Err where were we? Oh right. Me breaking the rules. I'm sorry for this. But this map is boring and I don't want to restart. If it makes it a bit better I send Gerik back to clean up. I don't want to trigger these guys yet. For obvious reasons. Ugh..... Oh no a killer edge enemy! Who... doesn't move. Free exp for Ewan then. those centaur dudes were poorly designed. Pretty much like all monster creatures. They are all great in one stat but lack in all others. The image with Joshua is important since the centaur actually hit and Joshua got a crit in return. No exp for Ewan on that one. More reinforcements pop when you get too close to the boss. I retreated to a defendable chokepoint. These guys are actually pretty dangerous. But not to Lute who reks them hard. All that's left is to clean em up. And that's the LAST surprise the chapter has for you. That's right. Spiders and two waves of reinforcements that only spawn after you move past a certain tile. The Gerik fight is particularly rediculous. Yay another unit with no range weapon that doesn't move. This one is promoted too for MORE EXP! First I clean up the gargoyle and then I can work on the... Whoa wait up. Ewan can double that. That's not as planned. There rescueing Lute should lower his speed enough.. There. Now he can wait till next chapter where he'll promote. I guess it's going to be mage with his 4 skill. Dark magic would only miss. There was enough entombed over for Lute to get a level as well.. Cake has a halberd and a steel bow and drops whichever he doesn't have equipped. Naturally I bait out his bow and then gang up on him. A bit anti climaticly Eirika finishes off the last eyeball thing. Not that there was any climatic part to this chapter. There is no need to get moveing at all. No pressure to do anything.
