Mistakes or errors on the site 2

Recommended Posts

This will probably be ignored, but Not an error per se, just something i found to be unclear:

On Fates' [Class>Introduction] page, it lists all of the branching promotions. For Monk/Shrine Maiden and Great Master/Priestess, it is somewhat unclear that are gender-locked. I think maybe a color-coding could work.

I see now that in the description it does say 'For Men/Maidens'...

Anyways I took a screenshot of how it looks now:

Edit: no idea why i care so much, but maybe a split arrow like this: 52-529053_graphics-for-split-arrow-clip-

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I just signed up and it asked me the name of the upcoming game to verify I'm human. I guessed it meant FE3H, which is did, but that game isn't upcoming anymore

I've noticed that while attempting to post here, my post takes a long while to submit. Apparently it has even led to double-posting. Everyone seems to be having this problem as well.

Now that this website's articles' creators use characters' official names as standard procedure,  I find it weird that some game sections still use characters' fan names.  It's somewhat understandable for sections covering Japan-locked games, but I believe that there's no excuse for the "Shadow Dragon" section still referring to Caeda as Shiida! Stuff like that mentally trips people whom are used to playing modern Fire Emblem games.  Starting with the "Shadow Dragon" section, may you please replace fan names in certain game sections with their official names?  Thank you.

Fire Emblem Echoes... I managed to find a movement boots in the final labyrinth in Act 6, so unless that was a mistake on the dev's part, Boots isn't DLC only anymore.

I'm playing the game from the beginning just to make sure I didn't miss anything, and will report once again if i find any items that the main site missed for this game.

Byleths max stats are incorrect. It says that they cap out at 55 magic, yet I have 60 magic (As a commoner without stat boosting items)
I also have 69 speed, breaking the supposed 66 max. I haven't confirmed the other stats, and most likely won't be able to, since I am ending the run of my playthrough and only have 3-4 more levels until I hit 99. But just figured I'd drop this here

So is anyone else entirely incapable of editing posts. And not in the usual "It's been too long since this five minute post was created way." The dialogue box just won't load for me when I hit edit post.

This is actually a significant one:

In Echoes: SoV, not a single class has a base minimum for resistance. There are various values given for resistance on this page: [https://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-echoes-shadows-valentia/classes/base-stats/], but no classes have a minimum for resistance (or it is no higher than 1).

I can post evidence of this, but i do think nearly everyone is aware that Myrmidons don't have a minimum of 6 resistance. AFAIK, all of the other stats are accurate.

"Shiida" was used in the EU version of Shadow Dragon, as well as SSBB. So it is technically canon.

Double posting to make sure you see this.

Lmk if the link doesnt work for you. I wanted to use imgur but it wasn't cooperating and I didn't want to dox myself.

Edit: none of the amiibo classes have a base resistance either, for what it's worth.

I'm still trying to figure out a good solution to making the data tables that are way too big, fit. My current idea is to screencap the whole table, put a re-sized image on the page, and have a lightbox with the full table open when you click the image. I haven't had time to implement this yet, but if you guys can just make a list of all the pages you find like this, it would help later on.

While perusing through the thread, I noticed this. Has there been any progress since this was posted, on the lightbox idea? If not, have you considered simply using a smaller font, or at the very least using whatever it is that's making this table scroll?

There are currently 37 tables that are too large and going over. As per requested by Jyosua, here's a full list:

In the section "Captives" of Class Sets for Other/ DLC for Fire Emblem Fates, it states that

Quote

Example 1: Haitaka starts off as a Mercenary, but he can’t use a Heart Seal straight away, since he only has Mercenary as a class option. But once he promotes to a Hero, he can use a Heart Seal to swap to a Bow Knight and vice versa.

However, Haitaka is a Spear Fighter. The example probably intended to mention Zhara, from Soleil's Paralogue.

Hi I just made my account to post this.

I've always used your site and read the forums for theory crafting but have never made an account or posted.

I live in BC and can read the forums on my home pc or on my cell.

I'm visiting family in Anchorage Alaska and when on their wifi it says banned when reading the forums but I can turn off the wifi and turn on my data roaming and view the forums

I don't know why, but my comments in the article about Plumeria's reveal keep getting deleted.  This must be a mistake because I was only giving feedback to the article's author and stating the dökkálfr's importance in one of FEH's meta-games.  Those comments get marked as spam, and even comments that lack feedback get deleted as soon as I leave the page.  My comments aren't too much, are they?

I think there’s a typo in the battle conversation between Ashnard and Tauroneo. It says,

Ashnard: Is that you, Tauroneo? As I thought… You betrayed me after all.

Tauroneo: …In my father’s time, there was a man who was one of the Four Steadfast Riders. That man grew old and useless, and retired from the front lines. How does his story end, you ask? Come, let us write it together.

Im pretty sure the second person speaking should still be Ashnard. Not gonna lie, the conversation is cool enough to me that I’ve gone back to read it at least twice, and never thought to report it. Thanks.

i've legit never taken tauroneo to the finale of fe9 so i have no idea if this is true or not. it scans fine to me the way it is, but if anyone feels like testing it feel free to ping me

It would be rather out of character for Tauroneo to say it, in my opinion. Regardless, found a vid of it and it’s still Ashnard saying the second line. It’s also interrupted by an elipses by Taur, which is just transcribed on the site as the beginning of the second piece of Ashnard dialogue.

(Tauroneo convo is at 4:18)

In FE7, Chapter 18E/19H, Uhai has dialogue when fought

with Guy, Eliwood, and I assume Hector and Lyn.

Uhai vs. Guy:

Spoiler

Uhai: Oh... So, you're from Sacae, too, are you?

Guy: I am Guy of the Kutolah!

Uhai: Kutolah... The Ash Wolf, Dayan's tribe! They're said to be the strongest on the plains. But you're still a child. Do you fight like one?

Guy: No!

Uhai: Then show me. Come!

I forgot what Eliwoods dialogue is. Oof ;-;

Error on:  https://serenesforest.net/path-of-radiance/inventory/bows/

The second Ballista in this list is presumably wrongly listed as "Long B" on the list; it should be listed as "Iron Ballista".  Looked over Youtube videos after Fire Emblem Wiki user PikaSamus noticed a discrepancy between the name chart on the wiki and the name chart here; this video showing off Action Replay codes and effects shows the Ballista in question on a North American copy, and it's clearly named "Iron Ballista".  Considering how there are fewer differences in English between North America and PAL regions in Path of Radiance (example:  Both sides make the "Deghinsea" mistake in Path of Radiance, but only North America corrects it for Radiant Dawn while PAL regions have to wait for a Heroes update to see it corrected there), I highly doubt there's a regional difference in play here...

Shin's hard mode stats aren't linked in the Averages for Binding Blade

https://serenesforest.net/binding-blade/characters/average-stats/

If you click on Rutger or Fir it brings you to a page asking for normal or hard mode, but if you click on Shin it just takes you straight to normal mode. His hard mode stats are available on the site

https://serenesforest.net/binding-blade/characters/average-stats/hard-mode/shin/

They're just not linked from the averages page. It needs the intermediate page to select which mode you want. I had to change the normal to hard in the url to find his hard mode stats. Not sure if any other units have this issue too.
