I only included the 8 characters that got fanservice via this poll and the avatar. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/fe/kakusei_bk/kekka/index.html I know a lot of people will say Tharja, but I disagree. Only her looks are overrated. In fact I'd argue her personality is actually underrated. And the things she got like the figure weren't special as that's what they do for females in Japan a lot. She got a leaked trophy in Smash, but majority of the trophies from that game haven't been revealed yet and she is favored by the developers so that is probably the reason. Not because everyone loves her. On the other hand the character that I think is the most overrated is Owain. His looks, his personality, his characterization and depth. All overrated. I just don't see what the big deal is about any of them, and I find Tharja to be the most terrible character in the game. And both Chrom and Lucina to be bland/boring. Heck, Tharja, who is also overrated since people keep lauding over the fanservice she provides, is somewhat relevant as according to the recent Smash Bros. leaks, she actually got her own TROPHY in the upcoming Smash Bros. (at least in the 3DS version). At the same time though IS doesn't seem to be fond of him and don't really want to push him. I think a shirtless Owain figma or an Owain plush would hold fans over. This thread sucks, btw. Overrated is synonym for "it's popular but I'm the hipster who hates it". Personally I don't give a fuck about Owain but I'm hipsterish when it comes to tastes. Not because everyone loves her. How are those two even related? The devs weren't the leakers. ESRB was the source. This thread should just be "what character do you hate the most"? Just gonna vote, post the bashing, and leave. Going to vote for Tharja. Because while I see her merits, the deal breaker for me is not loving your child up to standards. That is a freaking dealbreaker for me personally, if you're just going to curse them and your husband just because you got miffed. I don't give a damn about your character developments. She's never been able to take hits well enough for me to make as much use of instant Nosferatu as you supposedly can. Her personality isn't overrated because she gets all the hate she deserves. I didn't vote for her because I mostly play the Japanese version of the game and in that one she's WAY more civil towards people. (It honestly erks me how she was localised but another story.)Anyways I choose Tharja because over all she's not very pleasant and abusive to her daughter and husband. I also don't appreciate knowing she stalks Robin. -I'd like my poor MU's to be able to sleep at night, thanks. It's a pity really because I'm rather fond of her design -especially the circlet, which I'd definitely steal if I could. T_T Edit: True she does love her husband and daughter (-s if you marry her) but that doesn't excuse what she does. -Edited grammar errors and I forgot to point something out.
