The Cd-i games were a product of some deal that fell through between Philips and Ninty. So Philips were able to make three Zelda games for their failed console, but they're not canon in the slightest, and are the source of many hilarious memes nowadays. You've probably seen Cd-i Link before. One such error in relation to the Zelda series is Morshu here calling the currency "rubies," when they're actually called "rupees" in English.
