MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 5x (1/2): A new face! Shiori prepares him for the mission. It's Weiss. Is he somehow realated to Schwarz? If Shiori senses something, it can't be good... ... indeed. Do you notice the familarity of these portraits? I will solute it later. You already know this guy on the right from the beginning of chapter 5. He has to follow orders by Queen Moonie. Now it's obvious, what he has to do... Hoikade doesn't stick at nothing to get Faratrass at any price. The troups even invaded Lazulis. Dumb question. The Weiss guy doesn't seem to be interested in fighting... Teamwork FTW! = defeat boss = don't kill the strongest boss Introduction of the new allies: Weiss is a level 10 cavalier with nice bases and great weapons. The halberd is the ticket to the paladin bosses and against all the other cavaliers. He will get much work in this chapter! Ceapana is a level 9 troubadour, who can use swords and heal (as in Judgral and Mist in Tellius). Her bases are alright for her class. Klingensturm (= storm blade) is basically a wind sword. It's effective against flying units. Great sword! There are a few dracos on the map so this sword will be useful already. Here are the three bosses: Asra and Raymur are paladins (first classchanged bosses). Though their stats aren't very impressive. They're prepromoted. Saar is a general with pretty damn good stats. He is a tough nut with his 50 HP and 23 defense. Soul mirror is techanically a hoplon guard, which prevents you by critical hits. Though Shiori has mentioned that the strongest boss shouldn't be killed Take this advice seriously! If you manage to kill Saai somehow, it's worth for nothing because GAME OVER I solve the little riddle: These guys have similar portraits as the FE8 bosses Saar, Murray and Aias. In this hack the order of the letters are changed: Murray=Raymur Let's begin chapter 5x: It is a defeat boss and escape mission. If one of the bosses is dead, new waves of reinforcements (especailly cavaliers) will appear. This map has tons of cavaliers with all three types of melee range weapons. Be careful a few of them have a horseslayer or reaver weapons. Lots of reinforcements (cavaliers, knights, dracos and shamans) will appear later. So be prepared for that! I'll warn you this chapter will be a race against time. If any ally dies => GAME OVER There's a village next to the start. Shiori has to visit it in turn 1: You get an elixir and a flash tome. Don't visit this village with Weiss or Ceapana, because they have no free inventory slots. Otherwise you have discard something, which you surely don't want to. Once more the hint. Only kill the two paladin bosses and then flee. It doesn't matter, who escapes (it hasn't to be Shiori). I place Weiss in the attack range of the first enemy a draco knight. Then this conversation will happen: Only a few enemies will move. The damaged draco knight will be killed by Ceapana and I place Weiss in the attack range of another draco. Ceapana kills another draco and I place Weiss with the halberd in the attack range of three cavaliers. He can survive them. Unfortunately two of them have range weapons (short axes): One enemy attack misses. Two cavaliers with range weapons are left and have to be killed in this turn. It's Weiss' and Shiori's job: Weiss gets his first level up. This won't be his last one for sure! Weiss is healed and is in the attack range by another cavalier. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 5x (2/2): = boss moves, if you are in his attack rangeFirst wave of reinforcements: A few knights Ceapeana heals Weiss, because he has to decoy a cavalier with a horseslayer. She gets a level up for that.My effective weapon is better than yours!Next turn Weiss decoys another one...... and kills him with a critical hit. Though his level up is disappointing. This is the spot, where I have to place Ceapana, because the other spaces are covered by Asra.I won't want to decoy him too early. She dodges (of course), because she's on the thicket and has the weapon triangle advantage. In this turn I kill all the knights and I place Weiss in the attack range of Asra.I'm an idiot I forgot he has an axereaver.Though Weiss hits and gets a decent level up.In the next player turn Asra will be dead!Shiori, Ceapana and Weiss show, how teamwork works!Asra is dead and Weiss gets another level up his forth one already. There are lots of enemies left. Maybe he even will reach level 20...Raymur plans his revenge:He orders a group of shamans to this map.The shamans have umbra, vortex and vacuanox. One of them drops a light tome. It's Weiss job to defeat them!Great level up for her.In enemy turn Weiss kills two shamans. Only three of them and a cavalier are left.Weiss kill the cavalier. Then I swap to the short axe to counterattack the shamans. In enemy turn they all die and Weiss gets his sixth level up:Now it's time to decoy Raymur. He has no range weapon so the halberd will 1RKO him.The easiest boss in this game so far.Saai is desperated now.He announces two waves of reinfocements. The job is done. Almost! Now only back to the river.Easier said than done!Seventh level up.The sixth platoon consits of cavaliers. And the seventh plaaton is waiting for me on the river! And one of them has a horseslayer! How awesome :/A lesson of this hack: Never celebrate too soon Now everything moves! And level up #8.I need a knight crest.Weiss has to function as wall...... but he kills too much with his halberd. So Shiori replaces him and blocks the enemies. She cannot kill them without a critical hit.He must die!I kill him with Shiori, who is rescued by Weiss after that. That also means the blockade is lifted. This draco knight is so dumb and decides to kill hisself by attacking Ceapana. Klingensturm 1RKOs him.Now it becomes very VERY close!I made it!Most of Hoikaden's are defeated. It really pissed Saai and wants to take revenge personally on Shiori. The battle of battles:She even survives! It looks pitch-black for her!Though she hasn't lead her final trump...She blinds Saai."Blind stave" confirmed for next FE game?! Damn, I always want to see something like that. They take their chance and flee. Chapter 5x ends. Have cut 5x in two parts. I record chapter 6 today evening. Will upload it tomorrow. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 6 (1/4): I have to add Djambo:He's the second trainee, the Ross archetype. His stats for level 6 are decent, pretty good strength already.I haven't used him and I won't use him in this run either, because in the next chapter you fight LOTS of enemies and it's defintitely not a good chapter to baby a character. So I apologize to all Djambo-fans!In the shop I buy a holy fire for Andre, because I haven't one yet and I want to be more flexible in the weapon triangle. If you remember, holy fire is a dark magic reaver. It will be boozy again.Drown problems in alcohol never is a good way...Fa knows now the difference between cider and whiskey.Mr. "Man in Black" joins the clubby party.Fa and Schwarz are flirting fiercly each other.Oh no, more foes! Hoikade invades in Lazulis' teritorry. They won't attract the attention of Lazulis'. So Hoikaden dissembled their intention by killing their own people and burning their corpse. Faratrass is shocked and also embittered about this cruel strategy by her homeland.Schwarz goofed in his past... Now he must pay his debt against the Lazulis army. The only way is to fight them! For chapter 6 you can bring 9 of 11 units to the map.As I said I leave Djambo home, because it's too hard to train him. Also Menmus is dropped, because his stats aren't impressive at all.Chapter 6 is a rout mission.A really exhausting one at least for the first turns. Why?Because there are tons of enemies very close to you especially monks.Monks can use light magic and heal. They're not very powerful, but have a decent critrate especially with their flash tome. Also they're really tanky. Their defense is almost as good as their magic. So they're not even easy to kill. These monks is also bad news for Faratrass because of her weapon triangle disadvantage and her very low resistance. So put her away of this crap as good as possible. The boss is a knight and will be oneshotted by Fatratrass.Though be careful! He'll move, if you're in his attack range and has a killer bow. No one would survive it except the name is Hellios. Here's the third and final trainee: Sae'rah. The Amelia archetype. You can recruit her. How?I'll tell it later.I don't hope she's Marisa II.Eh, definitely not my type yet... Though she's coold.Chapter 6 begins. The first aim must be to kill as many enemies as possible, because lots of crap is coming towards you in the first enemy phase. Turn 1:Andre, Garion and Christoph start with the business.Andre shall get a few levels, because he's only level 1.I probably won't use Garion that much, because all these monks do very nasty damage to him and have a decent crit chance. So I decide to rescue him:Oblumbra makes this chapter much more bearable, because it's an instant death for all the knights. This chick becomes more and more a problem case for me!All of her level ups except for the very first one, were SHIT!Bonecrusher isn't only a hammer, but it does (as the name says) effective damage against bonewalkers.Great weapon, but very heavy. In enemy phase only Christoph takes some damage.Weiss and Ceapana join as well. Maybe he becomes level 20 in this chapter. Turn 2: You see lots of monks are very close to me.Godthanks the two knights behind the bridge won't move so I don't have to focus on them yet.I'm not quite sure if, vortex=luna, because it has the same battle animation.GOD, DAMN IT!ENOUGH of one stater!Killing, killing, killing...Schwarz' pegasus looks so fucking awesome.Napalm shot is an explosive arrow. Now he's fit again.Garion has to visit the right village, because he's a bandit.I'm not sure, if it would apply to Djambo as well.He gets a devil blade (= devil sword), which I will sell as soon as possible . MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 6 (2/4): Enemy phase of turn 2: FUCK YOU HAACCCKKKK! Well, it's one more than one stat. Though these are definitely the least wanted stats! A little bit better... Turn 3: Godthanks Oblumbra makes this chapter much more bearable, because it's the instant death for all the knights. Faratrass will kill them all. I call it OBLUMBRA-BOMB from now on . Andre has visit the left village. Only a trainee (Andre or Djambo) should do it! You can visit it with any other units, but it won't help you at all. Garion wants to visit the house, but it's closed. I don't know, if you can visit it with a certain unit. Enemy phase of turn 3: Oh no, not this guy again... Well Saai decides to help us, but I think I know his real intention... The red units become green (= NPCs) and will attack all the enemies in their attack range. One advice: Let the NPCs operate! If you kill all the enemies on the right side too soon you will open the way for the cavaliers to the left side and they will catch up your units. You might not recruit Sae'rah and kill the boss in time. In my first playthrough Saai killed the boss... Rya gets hit by ridiculous hit rates and Fa kills one knight after another. Turn 4: Most of the enemies are dead. Godthanks! Only a few knights with a longbow are close to Faratrass. Though she will kill them all with her OBLUMBRA-BOMB: I can live with that. Garion visits the other house. No one lives in, but he finds a tonic. Do you see the waterfall in the river? Schwarz has to fly to this spot... ... to get a hidden ruby (= water jewel). Enemy phase of turn 4: Hellios reports Faratrass that Saai and his batallion are coming to the aid. Though he smells a rat. Turn 5: Andre visits the left village: Sae'rah's mom. Important: Sae'rah only trust young soldiers (= trainees). It's the first condition of Sae'rah's recruitment: Either Andre or Djambo have to visit the village. After that this person can talk to her to and recruit her. If they haven't visited this village, they can talk to her, but she won't be recruited. Enemy phase of turn 5: Nothing happens. Only the NPC are busy with a knight on the right side. As long he's alive they won't cross the bridge and ride to the left side. Turn 6: Andre has to reach Sae'rah as soon as possible. Hellios rescues him. Ceapana can train her stave level by healing all the NPCs. OBLUMBRA-BOMB strikes again and I get a long bow. MisterIceTeaPeach
Sae'rah sounds interesting, and this chapter looks fun to play!! :D Tbh this is the only chapter I don't like that much. The reason is you must fight LOTS of enemies in the beginning. Especially on hard mode this becomes frustrating very fast! It took me lots of patience to survive the first three turns in HM. The monks hit hard, because most of your units have crappy resistance and the critchance of flash is very decent. Of course you can rush after the enemies with Hellios' warp sword, but that's not my aim. I try to train all my units equally. You can't really play this chapter as a defend mission in the beginning, because you're constrained and you don't have a "wall" against all these enemies except for Hellios. So you have to play it offensively, what I also did in this LP. The consequence: Rya almost died. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 6 (3/4): Enemy phase of turn 6:This happens, if you cross a certain line in this map:Everyone next to the boss (including Sae'rah) will move towards you from now on.Make sure that Andre or Djambo can talk to her in the next turn.Turn 7:Andre can reach Sae'rah to talk to her:Sae'rah doesn't believe him...Andre is a little bit desperate. The "I'm a hot boy" scum doesn't work...Sae'rah believes Andre since he tells her that her dad is in Tartaros. Only her mother knows about his location.Sae'rah is the third and last trainee. The Amelia archetype, focussed on using lances. She's already level 7 with balanced base stats and very nice weapons.I'm going to use her because I don't have any lance users since I dropped Menmus. Also her portrait looks pretty cool.No comment.OBLUMBRA-BOMB strikes again and Cattleya can even kill stuff.Schawrz visit the left house:It's a hint to the hidden ruby, I found in the previous part.In the enemy phase of turn 7 Hellios kills a couple of soldiers and a monk.Andre is attacked by a solider (who survives) and gets a level up in HP and skill.Only a soldier next to Andre, a knight in the south-east and the boss are left. It's the task of the NPCs to kill this knight. In this house you get information about a hidden item in the mountains in the south-east.Schwarz must find it while the NPCs ride towards to the knight. Voilà , a physic stave!Very nice!Much more worth than a ruby.Only the boss and the knight in south-eastern area left:Two OBLUMBRA-BOMBS kill the boss and Faratrass reaches level 13.I only have to wait for the moment till the last knight falls:Chapter 6 is done.Actually it went better than I expected. No one died!Only the level ups pissed me off!I hope they will be better in the next chapter. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 6 (4/4): Of course, Fa wants to know why Hoikade suddenly comes to the aid.Well, Saai shares the same target as Faratrass. She must reach the "Midnight Shrine" as soon as possible.Of course this decision surprises the siblings.Saai tells her the reason for this decision.Weiss and Ceapana join and Saai isn't very pleased about this meet...They tell Faratrass and Hellios what happened in chapter 5x.Saai tells them the confrontation.Despite his desire for revenge he'll leave Weiss, Ceapana and Shiori alone and wants to support Faratrass.Shiori noticed Saai's bad malice. So Ceapana and Weiss think it will be only a trap and Saai has a complety different intention to help them.Tough Fa has no other choice than to believe Saai.He shares the same target as her and is a welcome unit because if his strength and experience.Weiss is still offended about this plan.Fa must calm him down.Let's only hope it wasn't a trap...Current level and stats of my units:Chapter 6 ends. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 7 (1/5): Hellios is still questioning about Hoikade's motives to help Faratrass.Though there's nothing else for Faratrass but to trust them, because her time is running out.Saai wants to know, why Faratrass killed all the people in Hoikade's castle. She explains him that Alvana brainwashed all them.He doubts her word, because he thinks that Alvano hasn't the magical power to brainwash.Instead he assumes that she was possesed in the castle already and lost the control about her consciousness. This statement offends Hellios, who thinks that Moonie is responsible for all the proceedings.Fa tries to calm down both..She regrets all her past acts regardless of whether she's responsible or not.Her only target is to reach the "Midnight Shrine" as soon as possible to stop the madness.A group of monsters try to disturb the upcoming ceremony. They must be destroyed. Chapter 7:Some battle preparations: sold the ruby and the devil blade from the previous chapter buy another heal stave for Ceapana give the physic from the previous chapter to Puledra (Ceapana hasn't reached the required weapon level yet) For chapter 7 you only can bring 10 units: I don't bring Schwarz and Menmus to this map, because there are lots of (long) bows Garion is also dropped because of his poor speed I bring Sae'rah, because otherwise I don't have any lance users in my team Chapter 7 is a fog of war map. The enemies consist of bonewalkers, revenants and eye balls. You can see that these monsters are pretty tough already. The revenants have high HP, the bonewalkers have high defense and the eye balls do massive damage to low res units like Faratrass. On hard mode the revenants have almost 40 HP and the bonewalkers 12-14 defense. So they can take a few hits. The NPCs consist of soldiers, cavaliers, a couple of draco knights and Saai. They're more than a helping hand in this chapter. You also see chests. But how to open them since there's no thief in my party? This question will be answered later. Here's Shiori's part:She has to guard the "Midnight Shrine".If an enemy is too close to this, they corrupt her magical power with their malice. The ceremony can't be implemented => GAME OVERImportant:You don't have to block the entrance. You can place her on one of these pillars:It gives her a boost in defense and avoid. She also gets new equipment for this map:Judgelight (you can't see it) is Shiori's personal tome. It's effective against bonewalkers.Candle is an anima magic reaver. It has a weapon triangle advantage against anima magic and the dark magic tome vacuanox.Keep that in mind, because it's important for this chapter!Another important thing:Make sure to keep the elixir on her, which you got in the house in chapter 5x.She has to fight lots of enemies, who hit hard.A vulnerary probably won't be enough to heal the suffered damage. If Shiori dies => GAME OVERLet's begin chapter 7:The mission is called "Arrive with Fa":It's basically an arrive mission as in FE9.Fa has to reach a certain line in the Shrine (Idk exactly which spot). If she's done, the chapter is yours.Though it's easier said than done. There are lots of obstacles in this map: fug of war => hidden enemies can be everywhere some have reaver weapons lots of enemies to fight in the beginning a few enemies have effective weapons against cavaliers So if you want to rush to Shiori with Hellios, watch out!A horseslayer and a zanbato are waiting for you to make your life miserable! So you have to play be very carefully during the entire chapter.Play patiently! The NPCs will help you.Turn 1:Your first aim must be (as in almost each chapter) to kill as many enemies as possible.Though don't move too far, because you don't know what you expect in the fog.Sae'rah gets her first kill.Hopefully I can manage to bring her to level 10.Another problem is that some enemies are in thickets. So my units have terrible hitrate agianst them.Godthanks Christoph hits twice with 55%.Cattleya kills an eye ball. Her level up is garbage as always. My least favorite myrm EVER!To top it all she gets poisoned by the circulum. She gets healed. Unfortunately I don't have a restore stave yet.I send Hellios directly towards east. He seeks MORE enemies.Make sure to give him a lancereaver. As I said there's a bonewalker with a horseslayer. So don't give it the chance to hit him. Also I send Faratrass to the east. You'll see later, why! MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 7 (2/5): Enemy phase of turn 1: Even the revenants have a critrate against Puledra. Godthanks he crits instead. That's a very nice first level up! GO Sae'rah!NPC turn:Yeah, the NPCs aren't too bad.The female cavalier has a hook blade. I'll explain this weapon later.Turn 2: Here's the warning. Send Shiori to the western entrance. As I said it's fine, if you place her on a pillar:Andre gets his second crappy level up in a row. Since he's a mage, he becomes worse and worse. Here's another little thing:There's a bonewalker with a long bow next to the chests. There's another hidden one.It can attack you through the wall.If you place an unit next to the wall, you can be attacked. So don't put Menmus or Schwarz there!Weiss is level 20 now and I still don't have a knight crest :(He gets a wishbone, which increases the luck by 2 (= goddess / ashera icon). And I know at once, who will get this.Enemy phase of turn 2:No one attacks one of my units. Only the NPCs are attacked.Turn 3:Suddenly this guy appears.(Made this screenshot too late. The reason, why he only has 8 HP left.) This guy is a thief so he's the ticket to the chests.Faratrass has to talk to him. She can do it in the next turn.Faratrass also gets poisoned. And she gets her very first point in resistance. Hooray for that! Now Hellios equips the lancereaver, because in this area is the monster with the horseslayer.Puledra is luckier now.I don't care that Weiss don't get any experience more.I just want to clean out all the shit in my field of view.Enemy phase of turn 3:The first enemies reach the Shrine.Judgelight 1RKOs these enemies.First problem is defused. Now there's no sticking stone more on the way to Shiori. In the next turn he will use an elixir.Turn 4:Fa talks to the thief:I see, the "art" of stealing. Finally he comes to the point.Hahaha... this line is gorgeous. Keep these lines in mind! Letruffe only will join after this chapter, if you find the solaris. Letruffe has typical base stats for a thief. 10 strength is pretty good. He has a killing edge and a hook blade, which works as the stiletto in FE9: Effective against knights, but it's also effective against bonewalkers. It's the same as the bonecrusher only as a sword. Hellios uses the elixir. Shiori guards the western entrance. Candle is equipped now. Enemy phase of turn 4: Letruffe is attacked. I forgot to turn on the battle animations for him. Horsies FTW! Here's the reason, why Shiori must equip candle: There are two eye balls with vacuanox. Anima magic reaver > light magic reaver If she used judgelight, she would have a massive triangle disadvantage. Two eyeballs would probably kill her. Turn 5: Weiss is now in the attack range of three eyeballs. Don't worry! They don't move, they only block this passage. Enemy phase of turn 5: Shiori actually does a pretty good job. She only gets hit once yet. Actually she doesn't need the elixir. Only the eye ball next to Weiss attacks him. The other two are stationary. Edited March 6, 2015 by Mister IceTeaPeach
Irony
I bet Schwarz and Letruffe would get along swimmingly... :D Or they'd be competing to see who gets the best line in the hack! :D Apart from that, this hack (and this LP) is still amazing! I cannot wait to see what happens next! :)
Draco
Yeah, me too.Honestly, when I saw a screenshot of all of the playable units in this hack before, I thought Letruffe was a girl.
MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 7 (3/5): First of all two little things: I will replay chapter 7, because I accidently forgot to bring Sae'rah to level 10. I want to show you her promotion in the next chapter since it's the final chapter of the version of this hack. That means I won't reupload the entire chapter. Only the levels and stats of my characters will be different. Will show you the stats of my units of this and the replayed run to show you the differences. Also I will upload the rest of chapter 7 tomorrow, because I'm a little bit busy atm and this chapter has a very long and interesting story part and requries lots of commentary. So please don't be angry that I can't accomplish to upload the rest of this chapter today. Anyway it will be probably even six episodes. Not quite sure, if I can cut it in five.Turn 6:All these monsters don't move. Most of my units are so good that they can already 1RKO some monsters (without effective weapons).Only Sae'rah doesn't need a little bit support by the others.I really regret that I have rushed this chapter with Weiss...This is a really bad move by myself!I healed him up to 18 HP, but he is in the attack range of two enemies, who can do in total >=18 damage to him.If he cannot dodge at least one attack, he will be dead!Enemy phase of turn 6:Andre gets a great level up after a quite while.Once more I forgot to turn on the battle animations for Letruffe .I was too slow to make screenshot while the map animations.Anyway he survives, because he dodges the attack of the revenant.Hopefully I never ever will do any mistakes in this chapter like this.SInce chapter 2 I don't have any deaths.I don't want to test my luck that often...Time to play I spy with my little eye. This is one of very unlogical gimmicks in this hack. This draco knight attacks an enemy behind this revenant. For some reasons the NPCs can attack enemies, which aren't in their and my view of sight.I'm not even sure, what kind of enemy it is.Guessed it's an eye ball, because this draco knight suffers lots of damage.Saai's malice still confuses her.Means block the eastern entrance. One of them must be either promoted or have a very powerful weapon.Turn 7:Actually not much going atm. There are only a few revenants in the western side.Andre kills a revenant while Hellios checks out the eastern area:No promoted monsters. Only a bonewalker and two revenants. This bonewalker has a devil blade.A few revenants have razor claw. It's a new addition in this hack.It has more might than sharp claw, but less accuracy. However it's still pretty powerful (24 attack). It can kill most of my units with two hits.Letruffe gets his first victory (with battle animations). His hook blade is effective against bonewalkers, but it also reduces his AS based on its high weight. So he won't double most of them. There will be probably some enemies in the area close to the two chests. If you remember there was a bonewalker with a longbow.Enemy phase of turn 7:All the enemies in the eastern are killed by Hellios. This is probably the "dangerous" one. It has a killer bow.I already told about the bonewalker with the zanbato. Here it is:It is close to the two chests.Unfortunately Cattleya's level ups sucked so she does pretty much no damage to it.Sae'rah is attacked by a revenant and gets a level up. Unfortunately her last one in this chapter...Turn 8:Exorcism is godly in this chapter. And now he's even luckier.Unfortunately his stats especially magic and speed are still pathetic.Sae'rah's final kill :(This bonewalker has klingensturm so don't put any fliers in this area.Just look at Cattleya's damage out :/Well, it's only the weak brave sword, but still...She won't be stronger either...What a "resbox".There's a eye ball in the north-eastern corner of this map, which drops circulum. It won't move so I place Hellios in the melee attack range to get this tome. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 7 (4/5): Enemy phase of turn 8:I get circulum.New warning.Turn 9:These are the only remaining enemies on this map so far.Enemy phase of turn 9:Finally I could make a screenshot of Fa's critical hit.Turn 10:Letruffe opens the first chest. It's a restore stave.Actually I would have made more sense, if had got this stave much earlier since I had to fight lots of enemies with poison weapons.Enemy phase of turn 10:Suddenly an eye ball appears from nowhere. He hits Christoph.Hopefully there's no other one...Oh shit! There's another one! Even a promoted one, an arch mogall. He would kill Christoph, but thankfully he dodges.Again, I'm a lucky bastard!Turn 11:Here are the stats of this arch mogall. Not too impressive (prepromoted), but vacuanox hits you hard. It's actually the boss in this map.Rya kills the eye ball.I actually forgot to mention in the entire time that bows do effective damage to eye balls, because they belong to flying units. She's anyway a good unit to kill them, because she's one of very few characters with a quite decent resistance. It's bosstime:Cattleya critted once.Cattleya critted twice! Dead! And her level ups still suck :/It drops an ominous eye, which increases the skill by 2 (= secret book).Probably will give it to Christoph, because he has the lowest skill by far of my units. This was the last enemy on the map.I only will open the two remaining chests and heal some people.Still need the solaris to bond Letruffe.A heavy spear is still effective against knights, but also against skeletons. Each melee range weapon has an effective weapon against knights and skeletons: axe: bonecrusher lance: heavy spear sword: hook blade In the single chest in the nothern area Letruffe finally finds "his" solaris. Now he will stay on your side!Solaris is a range sword. It seems to be that this sword has the "slayer" effect. That means it must be effective against all types of monsters. An amazing weapon.Cattleya definitely needs it to compensate her low strength.Unforuately it weighs 10 and Cattleya only has con of 6 => AS penaltyLevel up for healing.Fatatrass reaches the Shrine. She has to arrive on the central of the Shrine.Actually this chapter wasn't too hard except for the beginning. There are some traps (mentioned in part 1), so be prepared for them.Though if you play patiently, it's not a very hard chapter. However I tested my luck again thanks to my too aggressively playwise.Again all my units survived only with much luck. Here are the levels and stats of my units of my replayed run:Sae'rah has reached level 10. She will be promoted in the next chapter.Everything is prepared for the ceremony. It only must be performed. If it's sucessful, the seal will be restored and Faratrass will get rid of the bane. But suddenly a monster appears from nowhere...Hellios removes it... too late? This monster is a huge problem, because any kind of malice can fail the ritual. The consequences aren't forseeable! Hellios delegates Shiori the task to sense all monsters with her special skill. However as you have seen she can't sense them all. There's something shady about it...Hellios is very worried about this incident. It seems it's working now.Something still bothers Hellios. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 7 (5/5): Hellios confronts Saai with his intentions. Unlike Fa he knows that Saai is up to no good. Here is the sequel of the conversation between Moonie and Saai in the beginning of chapter 5:That's known already.Saai is confused about Moonie's decision, but she explains him the intentions of this act:Moonie's intention was to bring Faratrass at any price to the Shrine without any costs of Hoikade's lives. After Hoikade had invaded in Lazulis' territory the Hoikades killed their own people and burned their corpses to dissemble their intention. If they would capture Faratrass forcibly Hoikade would start a war with Lazulis.Faratrass' status as vassal shall be replaced by this little boy. That means Faratrass must die!Saai's task is simply to kill Faratrass after the sucessful ritual. This is also explains, why Shiori could sense malice in Saai. Moonie thinks she's so labile for this status and the young boy fulfills the reqirements better for being a vassal than Faratrass does. She gives him the Soul Mirror, which prevents him by critical hits. Hellios challenges Saai:Look how amazing Hellios is!It doesn't sound very good! Here's Fa's replacement. Now Saai wants to do the final act:Holy shit:Fa will oneshot him, if she hits. How the hell can she do a critical hit???Saai has Soul Mirror, which should prevent him by critical hits!Anyway it's GAME OVER for Saai:Mission FAILED!!!Anyway look at her (red) eyes! She looks so scary now. What happened to her?I think I know it now...The boy is scared shitless. This has an end now...Chapter 7 ends.Next chapter will be the final one in this hack version. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 1: The final chapter of this hack version!Yeah, Faratrass became the Demon King. The monsters have corrupted the ritual. That's the plan! Time for the promotion:She can promote to a soldier or to a recruit.Of course I promote her to a soldier, because she has +1 movement and there aren't any female soliders in the regular GBA games.A "Nephenee archetype" in my team is pretty cool. Here's the preparation menu already:You can bring 11 of your 13 units to the map (Faratrass isn't available of course).I leave Garion and Djambo home.I'll bring Menmus to this map, because the mobility of fliers is pretty useful in this map.Almost every unit has equipped a brave weapon or an effective weapon against monsters.I gave Christoph the omnious eye (=secret book) from the previous chapter. The group is split in two areas. The majority is in the nothern area and four units are in the Shrine. It's basically the same map as the previous chapter except without fug of war. There aren't any enemies (including Faratrass) on the map yet.So be prepared for a surprise...My starting formation.Faratrass appears...... and so Hellios and Shiori do.I don't think so...God damn, she looks so scary.Seriously her huge red eyes really scare me.God damn it!Now I have to fight the Demon King?Good Christ :/Some earthquakes happens, which teleport TONS of monsters to this map.Chapter 8 begins. It's a defeat boss mission.Faratrass must be defeated.Lots of monsters of all types (bonewalkers, tarvos, revenants and eye balls) hinder you to reach her fast. These monsters aren't too tough, but some of them have very nasty weapons (effective weapons). So watch out for them! Also new weapons will be intodruced.Shiori and Hellios start east of Shrine.Fa is the boss. She has the reoblumbra tome, a more powerful version than oblumbra. It also gives her +2 is resistance.Reoblumbra kills everyone except for Hellios with 1-2 hits and it also has a decent crit rate. However light magic and holy fire are very good weapons to beat her.Don't worry about Faratrass' stats. They're default. Her stats aren't transferred from the current savegame. For comparison:She's more powerful and has more defense and resistance, but is MUCH slower now and reoblumbra gives her AS penalty furthermore. It makes the fight a little more bearable.Let's start the business:Turn 1:The target is as ever to kill as many monsters as possible.Bonecrusher, hookblade and heavy spear can one shot most bonewalkers.Puledra's light magic, Shiori's jugdelight and solaris do effective damage against all monsters. So make use of them!Solaris is effective against all types of monsters thanks to the slayer skill. It also can be used in 2 range.Watch out for this!Devil weapons do effective damage to Shiori. Why?Tbh I have no idea!Anyway kill this shit at once, because she can barely take hits.Hellios take this job:Enemy phase of turn 1:The first turn is probably the hardest because so many monsters close to your units, who can all attack you.Although Shiori is level 20 already, she's one of the most fragile units in your team.Another stumbling block: ZanbatoIt won't be the last enemy with an effective weapon. Turn 2:The numbers of enemies is cleared up already.Effective weapons FTW!Sae'rah's first kill as a soldier! Her sprite looks awesome!Another bad news for Shiori: devil fork (= devil lance)You haven't seen this weapon yet. Enemy phase of turn 2:Shut up!You can scare me as much as you want! Turn 3:Puledra is on a luck and defense roll.Kill this dude at once before it can kill Shiori or itsself!Sae'rah's first level up as a soldier. Her stats are pretty damn good already for level 2.Strength, speed and defense are two-placed already. That's a soldier I want to have!Hellios has equipped the lancereaver, because there's an enemy with a horseslayer in his attack range.Enemy phase of turn 3:The first announcement of reinforcements: cavaliers (tarvos)This dude with the horseslayer decides to attack Weiss. Despite the weapon triangle disadvantage, it hits him.I think the A.I. goes for him instead of Hellios, because Weiss has a lower defense and he can't get any experience more. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 2: Turn 4: So far, so good: This map is actually pretty easy compared to the previous two chapters. The monsters are easy defeated, if you make good use of the weapon triangle and effective weapons. Another enemy with an effective weapon. Enemy phase of turn 4: Second wave will consist of eye balls. Though they might be not too bad as Faratrass said. Turn 5: I come closer to Faratrass. Only have to kill the groups of eye balls and bonewalkers with longbows. In this hack eye balls can also use anima magic. At least it's the stat I was looking for the most. Klingensturm (for being a windsword) also does effective damage to eye balls, but it has a weapon triangle disadvantage against eye balls with dark magic. There's something you can steal by an enemy: A goddes icon. One of the bonewalkers close to Faratrass gets it. Though Letruffe has to open the chests first. He probably won't reach this area in time. Enemy phase of turn 5: Ahhh... reinforcements EVERYWHERE! These three announced groups all appear in the same turn! Well, lots of monsters very close to me. I screwed up this turn: I wanted to rush this area with Cattleya and her solaris. Though I forgot that the solaris attacks with light magic. The problem was some eyeballs had vacuanox. If you maybe remember vacuanox is a light magic reaver (= anima magic). That means it has a weapon triangle advantage against the solaris. The consequence: Cattleya was wrecked by these eye balls in the next enemy phase! Current deathcount: 2 I had to restart this, because I need the solaris against Faratrass. Though it's not the only annoying thing of these enemies: Welcome to the long range magic! Nerosol is basically a slightly weaker version of the shadowshot from the original FE8. The accuracy is pretty low, but it can hit you very hard. Godthanks this enemy appears very close to my units so I can kill this shit in this player phase. Turn 6: No more long range magic crap on this map! I kill all the monsters next to me. I didn't want to make the mistake again and rescued Cattleya after she had attacked. Instead I send Andre in the attack range of all these eyeballs after Ceapana had gave him a barrier: In the enemy phase he weakens the eye balls and doesn't suffer any damage. 17 speed!!! Turn 7: The eye balls with be killed and Letruffe opens the first treasure: MEH! I send Hellios to the village in the south-east: When you have done this, this happens: A bunch of mauthedoogs appears! You can face them in chapter 4 already, if you don't finish this chapter too early. As in FE8 they're really fast and have a high avoid, but are weak and fragile. Turn 8: Making use of the weapon triangle advantage. Some level ups. No comment about Ceapana's. Two mauthedoogs are dead. Look at the poor hitrate of my units. They're pretty fast. One of them drops "luckos fang". It increases the strength / magic by 2 (= energy drop). BTW luckos is the name for the mauthedoogs in this hack. This critchance is scary. I already mentioned it in Markyjoe's LP. The problem is that some units like Schwarz, Puledra and Garion have ridiculous luck. So you always to take the risk that an enemy can crit you. It happens in his LP. Hopefully Alfred will balance the stats in the final version a little bit, because I don't like gambling at all. Hellios visits the village: Maybe because it's the final chater of this hack version?! Anyway Anna is so nice and gives us an elixir. In the second chest is a holy fire tome. It's he best weapon against Faratrass, because it reverses the weapon triangle. So I highly recommend to bring Andre to this map. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 3: Turn 9:Only these three stationary bonewalkers with longbows block the way to Faratrass.I kill them all. I don't pay attention on the stealable goddess icon, because my thief is too far away. All three are one shotted by effective weapons.Turn 10:Only Fa is left:The longbow is the safest way, but still very uneffective...Only do it to read the standard boss conversation. No thanks! This looks much better! I will do it!Holy fire hits twice. Now it's Shiori's turn! It's a little bit risky because of the 6% critrate.Though I will do it, because she has a special boss conversation:I think Hellios has special conversation too.Neither get critted, nor even get hit.Time for the final blow! It's Cattleya's job:I trust the 83%.It's done! She's still alive. The Demon King lost all its power. There's still a chance to restore the seal to ban the Demon King inside it.Hellios prefers to bring Fa to the Shrine... ... though Shiori has one of her self-willed moments again. This surprises everyone except for Fa.Yeah I think it's time, because I'm still a little bit confused.Hellios is surprisingly very angered about Shiori's bullishness. Why does she want to keep Hellios in distance quite suddenly?Hellios is confused as I am. Suddenly Shiori senses that Faratrass is malicious towards Hellios. Well, this explains her behavior at the moment. Though I still don't know the reason for that. Of course Hellios doesn't understand, what happened to him. I still don't understand many things yet.Time to share it everyone! Some flashbacks: Chapter 7: Chapter 3: Chapter 5: Chapter 4: Chapter 2:Why are these flashbacks shown? You'll get the answer in the next episode.Plot twist
MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 4: OH WHAT?!PLOT TWIST You GODDAMN traitor!!! Good question! It will be explained: That's the true story of Hellios or rather The Demon King: He traited Faratrass from the beginning: He made her believe that Moonie brainwashed all the people including Alvano in Hoikade's castle. He lied to her that he was her semi-brother. Her poor conditions weakened the seal till it broke. He gave her alcoholic drinks to weak her consicousness so that she cannot control the seal with her magic. His target was to bring Faratrass to the Midnight Shrine. Moonie wanted to stop the massacre against her own people and ordered Saai to escort Faratrass to the Midnight Shrine. Hellios corrupted the ritual deliberately by the appearing of this monster. Shiori couldn't sense this monster, becuase he could hide his true malice perfectly. This monster corrupted the ritual and Fa became the "Demon King". After Fa's soul had been defeated, the Demon King inside of Hellios was freed. Hellios couldn't kill her until their souls are seperated, because the vassal's death means he loses all his power. So he had to wait that her soul is destroyed (which happens in chapter 8). Shiori's tries to stop it. Though her self-will becomes to her fate this time... ... because she's stone-dead now :( Shiori was a Saint. She actually had an undiscovered backstory. Now The Demon King wants to kill Fa. Suddenly a reaction happens, which hinders its act. Shiori stole something by it. Though it won't be explained, what exactly. The Demon King disappears. Shiori is still alive. Does she have the "miracle" skill? They are going to Magnolia's empress Phoebe to seek advice. Anyway lots of questions must be answered. Who's Shiori and what did she steal by The Demon King? MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 5: The rest of this LP only consists of dialouges. In these dialouges you adept more information about the backstory and the characters. I will short my comments a little bit, because these conversations are very long and informative already. Meanwhile in Serafew:Faratrass and Shiori are feeling better now.As Hellios already explained them. After the soul of Faratrass had been defeated, her magical power was too weak. So he could break free. The only good thing is that the Demon King isn't inside in the vassal anymore.Christoph is looking after Shiori: I think Christoph tries to flirt with her a little bit...Shiori addresses reproaches to herself that she couldn't sense Hellios' malice. He could hide it the entire time conditioned by the familarity with Faratrass. He concealed to corrupt the ritual by the appearing of this monster.I think they belong together. Now they confront empress Phoebe with all the proceedings:Her language is so loose for being an empress. This lady is just cool.Phoebe tries to wake up Faratrass' world of thought. It seems to be a little bit cold, but Phoebe only has to bring her to mind that the time is running out. This situation is deadly serious. The Demon King will teleport lots of monsters everywhere, which will destroy the entire humankind in Magvel. They hope for support by other nations.Shiori should be send to Lazulis. They were already in Lazulis' territory in chapter 6.Shiori is the Saint of Pylum.Do you remember? Now, we know the ruler of this country.Of course Fa doesn't want to be naive anymore.Rya tries to explain her, why her statement is most likely true.Phoebe wants to send Fa to Midbar, where this badass looking dude rules: Faratrass is surprised about this task.It seems Faratrass is the last representative of Hoikade.Monsters invaded in Hoikade and killed all Hoikaden's.The current location of Moonie is unknown.Fa's reaction is obvious.Phoebe tries to psych her up...... but it doesn't work. MisterIceTeaPeach
Chapter 8 part 6: I don't comment much in this episode, because I think most of the images speak for themselves.I left almost no single screenshot out so you can understand this emotional and revealing conversation between Shiori and Faratrass: Faratrass is devastated.God I love this moment! It really brings my ears to tear, when Shiori comforts and tries to psych up Faratrass. So emotional. Also the music while this conversation is so touching.Unfortuntely these screenshots without music seem to be a little bit bland for a viewer.Fa's smile is returned! While Fa begins to smile, Shiori begins to cry. A little bit strange. Now Shiori's true identity will be unfolded:Shiori is the Saint of Pylum. She has the skill to hear the voice of Pylum's God in her dreams. He predicts the future to her and Shiori disseminates her knowledge to the publicity.Dark cults wants to have the resurrection of The Demon King. They want to kill her, because she endangers the resurrection. Now Shiori explains, what reactions means and what she stole by the Demon King:Just look at her now! It's most likely that Shiori belongs to the royal family to Hoikade and is realted to Faratrass. If you remember on this line when Faratrass met Hellios the first time:Shiori took Hellios' red eyes and therefore Hellios stole her the skill to sense the malice. However the exact link between Shiori and Hellios and the relationship between her and Faratrass are still unsettled. Now both will begin their own adventure. As in FE8 there will be route splitting: Faratrass goes to Midbar Shiori goes to Lazulis This is the part, this hackversion actually ends.If you have chosed a route, there will be small conversation between the character you chosed and Phoebe. This conversation is different depending on the route you have chosed.I won't show them, because they only consist of a few preparations. However in the final episode I will tell you a few things about the hack, show you the character standings and do a little review. MisterIceTeaPeach
Final part: One link to a screenshot is accidently displayed, which I can't delete unfortunately for some reasons. Please don't pay attention on this. When you have chosed a route, the "Tower of Trias" appears on the map.It works excatly as the "Tower of Valni" only with the small difference you have to pay a bet.I'm pretty sure this hack won't have an arena so this tower replaces the it.You also can visit shop and armorys in the passed chapters (exactly as in FE8).Final standings:Christoph:Andre:Rya:Puledra:Cattleya:Ceapana:Weiss:Sae'rah:Schwarz:Menmus:Letruffe:Garion:Djambo:Shiori:Faratrass:Here's my little review:+ variety of missions: This hack has a large variety so far. It combines two missions in one (chapter 5x: defeat bosses and escape) and also introduces new ones (chapter 5: stealth mission). The stealth mission is quite the opposing type of a classic FE mission. You have to avoid the fight. You must keep all the enemy movements in mind the entire time and you must make perfect use of canto, rescue, take and drop. It's one of the best ideas for a FE game. It would be great, if a mission like this will exist in a regular FE game. variety of weapons: This games has lots of new weapons: Magic reaver weapons, magic bows, effective weapons against monsters. The magic reaver weapons increase the flexibility of the weapon triangle. With the right tome you can make much more use of the weapon triangle advantage. Very important since the enemy magic users are very powerful. Magic bows are very good against units with high defense (knights). So archers are more usable too. soundtrack: Since this was a screenshot LP you couldn't listen to the soundtrack of this hack. It consists of remixes from diffrerent videogame franchises (Zelda, Tales of, Castlevania, Final Fantasy and much more...). For example the boss battle theme in this hack is a remix of the first boss battle theme in Bravely Default. These remixes are excellent and always fit to each respective situation. difficulty: Normal mode is good designed. It's sort of hard for a blind player, if you don't know all the traps. Though if you have played MS once, you can manage it much better. Though you dont have to underestimate the enemies in any point in this hack. I still had two deaths in my LP and some lucky situations, although I had completed it twice before. You must play very patiently. Hard mode isn't really balanced yet. The enemies are tougher (especially in chapter 2, 6 and 7). If becomes very frustating fast so resets are guaranteed. I needed much negotiation to beat it. story: except maybe for FE9 I never was so touched of a story as in the first eight chapters in this hack. There are so many funny as depressing moments. Especially the plot twists (Saai vs. Faratrass and Hellios is the Demon King) were unexpected. Also the character writing is great. Each character has an own personality. I'm very excited about the supports. - character stats: imo they're a little bit too unbalanced. My mainly issue is that some units have way too low luck, which allows the enemies to crit you. Especially Puledra (since he's second tier) needs better base stats. A healer is always welcome so you need him till the mages promote and can use staves. There should be a knight crest added for Weiss, because he always reaches level 20. In general: You get more battle experience for killing an enemy than in the regular GBA games. Even Hellios gets lots of experience, although he's second tier. fog of war: in chapter 7 NPCs can attack hidden enemies despite fug of war. It makes this chapter easier, but it's unlogical. It misses the point off FoW. All in all it was a fantastic hack so far.So fantastic that I'm much more hyped in other hacks than in FE14.If the following chapters will be as great as the eight chapters in this version, it be will the best thing I've EVER played. At the end a few thanky-thankies to: Alfred Kamon and all the people, who are accountable for the progress of "The Midnight Sun". Keep up the great work! MarkyJoe1990, whose great LP introduced me into this hack and made me want to do this LP. all the people, who watched and / or commented this LP. It was the first time for that I did a screenshot LP. Though I think it will be the last time, because I prefer doing (and also watching) videos with audio commentary. I really hope you could enjoy this! Only can recommend you to try out this hack. It makes really fun! You can find the link to "Midnight Sun" in the title topic. Thank you guys for watching!BYE!
