James Bond
I've found this code from another Forum: Infinite Weapons Player and Enemy 23EEBE2C 00000000It's for the US Version. Could someone test it if it works, and could someone also create a EU Version of it? Thanks.
MrPerson0
Yeah, that code works. Don't have the European version, but it shouldn't be hard for someone to convert it. Here's the Japanese version in case anyone needs it: Infinite Weapons/Items in Battle Player and Enemy (JP version): 23F03514 00000000 Also, don't know if anyone confirmed, but hacked classes do appear in StreetPass (no good on hex editing myself, so I relied on Olmectron's FireEditor to make class changes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1WCBZiocxE So it seems the only things that can't go through StreetPass are enemy-only skills. Ike's friend
That poor guy you dominated. Is it even possible to access streetpass via a rom hack? If so, I have a lot to fear.
Raybrand
What methods do you guys use to make your cheats? I can use save editor and RAM hacks but I have trouble using them to find patterns, because I cant narrow down a search for an unknown value because everytime I turn off my 3ds to take out the .bin file and restart the game there are automatically new changes to certain addresses. I've tried making small changes across several game states then I use hexeditor's compare function to find differences but even the smallest changes in the game seem to have too many address changes. (p.s. theres another 3ds game im trying to make cheats for, although its not fire emblem this is probably the best 3ds cheat making community i've come across, so I just want to learn your techniques) Edited October 2, 2015 by Raybrand
Celice
http://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-fireeditor-fe-a-save-editor.397493/ In case anyone wasn't aware, a save editor has been in development for Awakening and works great. Support for Fates is planned as well.

robotortoise
Hi guys!I posted this on the main FE: Awakening forum, but I think this forum is probably a better place to ask: Does anyone have the sprites from the DLC that could upload the sprites to Spriter's Resource or a similar site? Heck, if you gave me the files, I'd be happy to do it. I can't find any place with the Hubba, Bikini Anna, Blue Hair Anna...etc. None of their portraits are ripped, and none of the Bikini and Yukuta art has been ripped. Pretty sure there's also some nice art in the Future Past DLC if you beat it with no NPC deaths. I'd rip the data and extract the sprites myself, but alas, my NN3DS isn't softmodded. Oh, and on an unrelated note: Does anyone else find it odd that the DLC Xenologue script is stored ingame, not in the DLC itself? That they localized the DLC.....then waited to give us the DLC? The only "on cartridge" DLC I remember seeing is the Rally Heart Icon in the "effects" folder. Awakening has the dialogue files for the first 15 maps on the cart already. Not sure if they're the same as the ones in the DLC files though. As for why they're there, I assume it was just laziness. Chances are when Awakening was being finalised for release in the West, the localisers had already finished most of the DLC and didn't bother to remove the files. Yeah, I'm wondering if there's actually the script at all in the DLC, and if so, if it's different from the one ingame. The in game one could very well have typos or different variations of the words used. This may have something to do with the reason NoA's script is marginally different from NoE's, as well. They may have translated the bulk of it at 8-4, and then NoE and NoA decided to tweak things separately. Anyways, how long did the U.S. have to wait for each DLC pack to get vs. Japan? I'm wondering if the wait was artificial. Like...was all the localizing done, and Nintendo just decided to wait so the hype would be spread out and they might sell more? UnassumingVenusaur
Has anyone managed to edit the static.bin.lz file in /data/person/ and get the game to run without freezing? The test file provided in the initial post worked at first but then froze in Chapter 1 (after Sully and Virion appeared). I also tried to edit my own static.bin.lz which only changed characters' support levels (used the Character Editor), but that froze when I tried to open the menu on the world map. I extracted/repacked an unedited romfs and it ran fine, so the problem doesn't seem to be with that. Could the problem be with the specific edited static.bin.lz's, or would any edit to that file leave the game unstable? Update: I played around with this more and seemingly got some things to work. . First, I edited the file so that FeMU's base class was Lord (F). This was the only change, and the game worked perfectly as far as I could tell (I only played through Chapter 1). Then, I made another edit which reverted FeMU back to a tactician but gave her and Lissa a slow S Support. Once unlocked, the supports menu worked normally, as did their C Support. Though I'm going to have to test it more, this makes me think that the problem was with the files I used before. Update 2: I think I figured out what the problem was. Every time I tried to change a character's overall number of supports (either by adding on or taking away), the game would freeze. However, as long as I simply edited the existing supports, the game ran smoothly. For example, I was able to change any non-romantic supports into romantic supports (such as Lissa x Maribelle). I was also able to change who each character could support with, even if the two characters couldn't support originally. I removed Lissa x Donnel and Sully x Vaike and replaced them with Lissa x Sully and a Donnel/Vaike non-romantic support, and the game didn't freeze. So, essentially: if you're editing support levels in static.bin.lz, make sure the characters have the same number of supports they originally would. It's a bit disappointing, since it means that we can't do much with the Spotpass characters, but maybe someone will determine away around this requirement eventually. robotortoise
So I've been having issues decrypting the data. All the files are packed in .arc files, which contain .lz files, which contain .cptk files and sometimes .bcres. And even then the .bcres doesn't always open. Sometimes it'll open in Every File Explorer as textures, sometimes in Ohana, but usually not at all. And then I have trouble viewing the ctpk files, as SOME of them dump, but some don't. I'm using Fire Emblem Awakening Archive Tool, which is supposed to do everything for me, but it crashes when it tries to extract ctpk files, so I recompiled that without the ctpk bit. ....is there an easier way to do this? What tools do you guys use?

UnassumingVenusaur
I used dsdcmp for recompressing it and that always seems to crash it. I was trying to make it so that I don't have to load the RAM hack every time for MU x MU S supports... how did you go about this? I'm not sure at what point it crashed for you, but to add in an MU x MU S Support you'll have to remove one support from both MaMU and FeMU and make a new support between people you removed. For example, you could change MaMU's Gangrel support to a FeMU S Support, FeMU's Emmeryn to a MaMU S Support, and replace the character's MU supports with a Gangrel/Emmeryn non-romantic support (or a romantic support, if you're so strangely inclined). As long as everything is matched up correctly, it should run. I've got things like Chrom x Anna and Olivia x Tharja to work, so it's just a matter of following the instructions and making sure every support has a match, with the same number of supports you started with. shadowofchaos
Well, no, not really. MU has open slots. The pointers are just base numbers on the support table. Ezrius
Another code I forgot to post before was the slot 1 character hair modifier to make it easier to make twin Morgans with the same hair, or just changing someone's hair in general. Slot 1 Hair Color Modifier (US) B3CF1100 00000000 00000104 FFBBGGRR Parent hair color and generic child hair color for reference (courtesy of Jacien and Wintacular): 0x9A585DFF Anna 0xEDE9E3FF Aversa 0x211D1AFF Basilio 0xD48085FF Cherche 0x505C81FF Chrom 0xAF5454FF Cordelia 0x6E6376FF Donnel 0xDAD3BDFF Emmeryn 0xDCCFADFF Flavia 0x574C46FF Frederick 0xD28869FF Gaius 0x7C4554FF Gangrel 0xA3726BFF Gregor 0xECEBEAFF Henry 0x595655FF Kellam 0xCBC2A8FF Libra 0xDAD3BDFF Lissa 0x4C4C4CFF Lon'qu 0x505C81FF Lucina 0xF2E7C4FF Maribelle 0x532426FF Miriel 0xC2D6AEFF Nowi 0xEBCDD6FF Olivia 0x463E36FF Panne 0x56576EFF Priam 0xA57773FF Ricken 0x434343FF Say'ri 0x717266FF Stahl 0xAA6463FF Sully 0xA19791FF Sumia 0x484848FF Tharja 0xAFC19DFF Tiki 0xDED2B0FF Vaike 0x7A93A4FF Virion 0xEBEBEBFF Walhart 0xDBD6DBFF Yen'fay 0x454545FF Noire 0xC1D5ADFF Nah 0xA19791FF Cynthia 0x464646FF Kjelle 0xDAD3BDFF Morgan enemy DLC 0x999191FF Inigo 0xDAD3BDFF Owain 0xF2E7C4FF Brady 0xF99EAFFF Yarne and Morgans 0x505C81FF Lucina 0xAF5454FF Severa 0xD27F84FF Gerome 0x804646FF Laurent You would invert the bytes. Hair colors are listed as RRGGBBFF. So the code would be this. B3CF1100 00000000 00000104 FF464C57 I know I'm late to the party on this, but I just realized this thread existed and how I could potentially use it. In the case of the hair modifier, if I wanted to have Severa inherit Cordelia's hair instead of her father's, I could do this: B3CF1100 00000000 00000104 FF4545FA ...And that would result in Severa having red hair? Instead of, for instance, Stahl's terrible poo-hair? Is this purely cosmetic, or does the code technically change Cordy to her "father"? (Sorry, my understanding of code is miserable) Also, does this save, or do you need to re-enter the hair code every time you play? Thanks, looking forward to exploring this topic in greater depth once I test my ability to apply the codes after work.
UnassumingVenusaur
Well, no, not really. MU has open slots. The pointers are just base numbers on the support table. The question is, what compression did you use for desdcmp? Like what was the command line parameters you used for it? Like I said, if you use any of those open slots, the game will crash. I'm not sure why, but that's what I found. You need to replace existing ones. And also, I actually used BatchLZ77 for compression/decompression. I deleted the first four bytes of static.bin.lz using HxD, selected "decompress file" in BatchLZ77, made my edits, recompressed the file, pasted the first four bytes back on, and then renamed it back to static.bin.lz. Edit: Put two steps out of order. Edited November 25, 2015 by UnassumingVenusaur

GCNMatt
When I am ROM Hacking, whether I'm using the pre-made static.bin.lz or my own, it crashes either when I get to character creation on a new file or load up an old one. Sorry for being a n00b, but I truly am stumped on this. Also, has anyone been able to texture hack anything yet?
