Prologue

Hello everyone. It's been a while. So, I finally have this super big block of free time to attempt to do things. So, this is a mod that overwhelmingly won when I put a poll up. There are many good mods out there but I'll be playing this one. Just the way of things. Oh one other thing I should mention before I begin playing. Not only is this going to be a blind run.

Nice menu but it seems incomplete for the time being. It'll get there. I dig the set up however. Skulls are cool.

War! What is it good for?

Letting me do LPs! We have an introduction here that tells of us our setting. You have a country being hammered on by another country for some reason.

??? is the most informative and meta character in this game.

My first reaction was. YEAH! I GET TO PLAY AS MCBADASS over on the left. But then I realized he's too cool to be our main lord.

The generic soldier is too bland to be ours also.

So. An assault from all angles.

Underground! Above! Every side! Sides your couldn't imagine. What are we going to do Shenron?

Getting backdoored is bad in every situation. I am a mature player.

This must be our main character. He looks unassuming enough. It would have been a dead give away if his hair was blue.

So. What's the status report?

You're not going to be seeing much of anything with a helmet like that.

General. Please. Just take the helmet off.

Clearly our bad guy. Looks pompous enough.

We get introduced to two characters here. Tero and Vidar.

I hate you already Tero.

Ragnar earns points in the book.

As does Vidar. At least you have personality but damn.

Okay so. First thing we notice. There's a bunch of new icons. Second thing we notice. Everyone has 9 Con.

9... Con. What does it mean?

A good look at the map itself. We can see new map sprites.

Also new battle frames that look pretty boss. Also, this mod has plenty of new music that's been inserted.

Fighters have new battle sprites here as well. It's a much needed and awesome improvement. Though I kind of miss the design.

First Growth. I know who our tank is going to be. Also for a main character, I was kind of hoping Ragnar would have his own brand of badass soldier sprite.

Oh well. Beggers can't be choosers. He's got a nice palette.

"And when I'm done. I'll eat all their precious cake and caviar as watch the castle burn. Then I might stab an infant or three. Oihoihoihoi."

Surprisingly, the boss didn't make a zurg rush towards me.

Boss says more mocking stuff. We tell him he won't live long enough to taste his yucky fish eggs.

Kind of took a gamble here.

He's seen old woman fight before. Or maybe he's fought them before. Is Shenron secretly evil?

Erec is in his name. This is Fire Emblem. Sounds dangerous.

I resisted the temptation to put Erec on his face.

I love how the King just questions him until he guesses the most nonsensical of answers.

Alright. So, clearly there's a lot of love put into this. I am enjoying myself and hopefully I can put out these faster.

Yeah. It's a rapier type weapon. I thought that much may be obvious due to the boss and it's fight, otherwise 17 damage OP. Sorry I didn't cover that!

The high damage to the boss is the reason, why I came up with the rapier theory.

It would be very helpful for me, if you could show the descripton of any new weapons, which don't exist in regular FE game(s).

Anyway I will follow this.

Usually. Sometimes it gets subverted though; none of Dream of Five's Lords carry the usual anti-armour/horse effectiveness based weapons, and the second Lord of Death or Glory had (last I checked) a reaver based weapon (and okay, that did have effectiveness boosts as well).

I think Ragnar deserves a different battle sprite. Maybe an edit of Ephraim's? I'm sure there are soldier sprites lying around for use.

Chapter 1

Welcome back guys. Somehow I managed to do another update in another day. I'm impressed.

Quite a shame indeed. Wait a second.

Yes. Why don't you tell us why your country has taken upon a strategy similar to Weyland-Yutani or Umbrella.

Apparently this guy likes being evil and he's also being ordered to be evil.

So. I'm on skype and I'm just gushing about how I like either complex countries that are antagonistic or a nation of which is just completely looney.

We're having this discussion in character. Vidar is secretly us.

So we run into this lady along the way. She's being chased. By who?

Alright so. Gimmick time. This is pretty cool. This chapter has this thing going on where we need to pay attention to whose coming at us and whose not.

You'll be punished for playing recklessly and killing everyone.

Cleric is gonna Cleric. Her resistance is really up there. But she's super squishy.

Also, Silvick has 10 con. He has broken the cycle.

No idea if I should bother looking at growth data or not. This is blind. I also feel like it would be intrusive. I'll use who I want for now.

They're still low level so it's not that big a deal.

So, I was right. There are soldiers who don't want to attack us if they're near. We need to play around their spaces. Honestly, it's pretty clever.

We have reinforcements.

Rinoa is pretty awesome. But god I hope she gets defense.

Bad guys gonna bad guy.

Vidar is pretty cool. I for the life of me, can't remember their names half the time though. Did Tero get RNG screwed?

I mean, one has more skill and speed but the other has more defenses and offense.

Once again. We're meant to feel awful.

I usually play faster than this but it's time consuming to do an LP.

His battle quotes are a little funky. He's also using a human shield. I would have been meaner and had the soldier right next to the castle.

It's pretty obvious who wants to fight us and who won't.

In any case, neither are moving so we just rescue Ragnar and then replace and stab. Easy enough.

5 soldiers. 5 houses. Well played.

We have some generic gratitude than this. Nice mix up of soldiers.

No please. I don't want you to sick your women upon me for saving your land.

Oh.

Okay. So. To summarize this. Formality. Gratefulness. Other territory under attack. Rinoa joins us. We get money.

We get a small scene at the end, it probably changes if we actually play poorly.

Chapter 2

Welcome back. Trying to stay consistent here.

This guy seems to be a bundle of all sorts of joy.

Whose the poor mook on the right though?

O.K. So. He's recruit-able?

Or not. He's got that little icon there.

I like these two already. Though the one palette there, the grey and green is a bit of an ugh on the eyes.

Very observant Rinoa.

Kai gets his own bow. Neat. Not fond of Archers though.

Most certainly not recruitable. He seemed a bit too generic for my taste anyway.

That shirt, that shoulder pad. You're not good guy material.

The map. Obviously stuff is going to go down on the left hand side. Otherwise it wouldn't be there.

Making our way from the top. It's actually rather tense to defend that choke point.

You think they'd use that point on the right where they could just...basically leap across?

Instead we're treated to breaking a tree and crossing that way.

Just showing off the axe cavalier here. And the description. There's a lot here to cover and it can be tedious sometimes.

There are a lot of small variations with knights, myrmidons and other things. Even with weapons.

GLAM. I'm reminded vaguely of Castlevania. Wasn't that a weapon there? Could be based in history too?

I blindly charge through and encounter a Halberd. Thankfully RNG pays off....sort of.

What was all this trouble worth?

Chapter starts to come to a close. I'm unsure of if the boss is a defeat that ends the chapter. But we're going to milk the timer.

Let's worm in a few more level ups.

Your defense isn't like Vidar. Why can't you be more like him?

So. Where to next?

O.K easy enough.

Then we're treated to this guy. Rambling like a madman at the end.

For the time being, we're trying to gather allies. But we're treated to much darker things.

Clearly this is no simple war. Aliens? Demons? Find out later!

Long story short. I'm working on a bunch of side projects involving modding. So. This has been delayed because screenshot playthroughs are intensive. It would be easier to do video but I'm a nooblord.

Chapter 3

Oh no.

And Donwick and Ragnar kill their unexpected enemy. The chapter is over.

Tero once again lacks the ability to have a spine. Woo.

Long story short. Enemies are in a base once occupied by good guys. They get butchered.

Some of us want revenge and charged headlong in like a bunch of buttfaces.

I would like to say that this happens instead.

Ragnar and friends set the fortress on fire and leave.

All the enemies inside are forced to flee from their positions or die.

So instead...

Rinoa is slowing down with her resistance however. A bit of a shame but... I can't complain about

a unit with 13 resistance.

Nothing too special here. Moving on.

We get some story! It figures he's dead. But that doesn't give us much as to what's going on with the war.

But at least it makes sense now.

He panics. He gets shot down. Apparently he's really afraid of our big bads.
