momogeek2141
[spoiler=Endgame? Are you sure?] First of all, SHUT UP. The last thing I need is another Fenrir blast to my face! The dude on the left is Burian, and he's Dannan's son. He has major Neir Blood like Langbart and Dannan. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? The dude on the right is a crappy generic. So these guys will head on over to Edda, but Serlis will travel north and intercept them. They normally are pitiful, and show no hit rates against him, but SOMEONE decided to be SCREWED OVER TO THE DAMN ROOF! So they have a low hit rate and they'll die. The one time being screwed is helpful... So these guys have got TONS of Defenses. They take multiple hits to take down, but with Sibling and lover crits, they fall like butter. No seriously, it's a slaughter. The first attacks Scathach, then they all suicide on Lakche. And this guy is supposed to be HARD. The survivors. Ha ha haaaa. MOTHER 47 DEFENSE?! JESUS THAT'S HUGE! Shanan does 2 damage to him. WITH THE BALMUNG EQUIPPED. The only possible hope is Holsety, and even then he has 27 res. He's a wall. Oh, and the Swanchika hurts. Pray he doesn't activate charge! Lol he's screwed. If not for pursuit, Johalva wouldn't have one rounded them. Barely he does. Pushing through to clear the path to Burian. I'm careful to leave everyone else out of Swanchika range. Except the sword guys. Okay, this is bad. CRAP. HERE IT COMES. OW OW OW OW OWWWW! 5 health left. And Lana healed all of it. Whut. Destroy some healers. Don't you wish they could heal me? Tinny's killing the troub is strategic because...well... Time to send in the badass squad! WHACK! That must have hurt. HA! Adept! Gee, do you think so? SERLOSER VS IDIOTS! WHO WILL WIN! ...They have no hit rate yet they still attack. Why exactly do you do this sir? In vanilla they wouldn't attack with a hit rate, but instead charge at Edda. This is an interesting frame, with the cape all weird. With capped strength (which you damn well should have) you could have dealt an additional 6 damage! ...Go look at the previous update. THE BATTLE QUOTES ARE THE SAME! WHY? I switch to a measly steel sword for the kill. Well, their death quotes are merely similar, but COME ON! Now pretend that Serlis killed the rest of the Axe knights in Fisher's squad. And that this somehow magically happened when I wasn't looking. "The gods were actually the beings who brought barnacles into the world! They were so ugly that they had to make something uglier! And that's how the ugly barnacle came to be!" "Oh, and Julia's your sister who inherited the power of Narga, who can defeat Julius." What an excellent summary! Next time: TWO people get revenge! And a flash to the past! momogeek2141
[spoiler=Familiar faces!] After seizing, this is my position. You don't even have ThorHammer! That...would be extremely scary. Fighting a two front war? SO MANY FUCK YOU SHIELDS Five dark mages with sleep appear, in addition to one Fenrir Dark bishop. Hilda's actually easier this time around because she doesn't have a speed ring. So her AS is only 12. Oh yeah, she also has major Dain blood for some reason. Maybe she's the secret child of Arion? Who knows. (Actually let's not think that as there are now so many unexplained questions.) Formations. Serlis isn't participating until later. Whoa! The beige Ritter got an upgrade! ...Really Hilda? You know that if I really tried, I could blitzkrieg my way through your shields and seize without this guy even showing up. MartyTheDemonSlayer actually skipped Hilda's force entirely in his 0% growths run by using Leaf to rescue Serlis and having Serlis kill the dark mage and seize. Another question: HOW THE HELL DID A MESSENGER GET TO JUNGBY SO DAMN FAST? Wait, look at that portrait! Remember this? Bye! I'll have Faval kill Scorpio! With the same weapon too! Oh right! That's what I've got to do, isn't it? Lakche can now talk to her lover. "Shanan you're hot." "Thanks!" By doing this conversation, Shanan gets +3 STRENGTH! YES! He's so screwed it's not even funny. Here's Scorpio. BEWARE THAT KILLER BOW LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. I'd attack him at close range, but I've got a promise to fulfill. Do you remember how the Beige Ritter had all brave bows in gen 1? Well the same holds true here. Southern formation is the same as last turn. Thank god for Faval's absurdly high defense, eh? Tinny is two rounded, but her evade is so high that it doesn't matter. Sety too. Wait, does he have the same evade as Tinny? How? So we basically kill a bunch of stuff. I want to attack Scorpio with leisure, so I'll wait for one more turn. Bring him closer, we need all the help we can get. Sety kills some more on EP. Patty gets one. Tinny the other. Stupid troubs get in my way. One more rescue. This'll provide reliablility to Faval's attack. If I want my promise to come true, Sety's going to have to not activate a critical with a 27% chance on two hits, or an adept with a 50% chance on two hits. He does my wish. Sety is still awesome. SCORPIO! WHO'S THE TRAITOR?!?!?!?!? MURDER HIM, FAVAL! KILL HIM WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT! Damn my father... Turn. There is little opposition left. Next time: Plowing through the army of shields. momogeek2141
[spoiler=Wall of...walls.] This was the formation when I ended turn. ...Well crap. Mountains OP. Screw you five. One down! Only 16 more to go! *sobs* Lana can talk to Scathach. "Don't die!" "Okay." "Here, I'll give you the gift of 3 resistance." "Why? I'm going to get two shotted by magic anyways! Can't you give defense?" "No, because your defense is more than me, so only you can give to me. TAKE THE GIFT DAMMIT!" With such inspirational words, Scathach proceeds to obliterate this guy. The sword trio are the most dodgy of my team because not only they have high speed, but Shanan has the Balmung and Lakche and Scathach have dual support bonuses. "Oh no, I shouldn't have touched you, the static electricity is making my hair rise!" 120% crit rate, go! Hannibal's greatest accomplishment: killing a lone troubador. And even then he fails to kill it. ARE YOU FRICKING SERIOUS? Oh really? ... You're joking, aren't you, FE4? Screw Hilda's leadership. WHY IS THEIR HIT SO DAMN HIGH! This frees room to... HILDA! Get out of here! Damn right you are! Adept, dodge, Hilda barely lives. Those air hand stands are impressive Scathach. How do you do it? Leen dances and Tinny goes to FINISH OFF HILDA! Rekt Serlis needs to leadership bot, so he joins the fun! Healing, and Hannibal finally gets recognition for something. STOP HITTING, I JUST HEALED HER! Thank you Scathach. Oh, so they're using Lances now, are they? ARE THEY? NOBODY HITS SCATHACH! THAT'S A LIE APPARENTLY, GODDAMMIT! SO MANY DAMN 9% HIT CHANCES! I SWEAR TO GOD, STOP IT! FUCK! HE'S DEAD! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS! ANOTHER LOW HIT RATE! 9,9,9,9, 17!!!!!!1 WHAT IS THIS BS! HAD SCATHACH 1 LESS RESISTANCE, HE WOULD HAVE DIED! ... ...Dammit. Thanks Lana. Two more 100 kill weapons! I'm done. Well, mostly. Fix sleep and warp Lakche and Shanan to Dozel. Sety kills the first three sleep mages, but leaves the last two that are out of reach. And now we- HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! Wait, what's goin- We've had enough of your favoring the foot units! Fe4 is supposed to be a mount dominated game! Well, I understand that but... SILENCE YOU IDIOT! We'll show you who the REAL champions are around here! LOLOLOLOLOLOL Lester! Hold that stick of your high in the air as we CHAAAAARRRRRRRGE! Oh no! Here they come! THEY'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! Next time: Mounted mutiny
momogeek2141
[spoiler=Fin's Fighting Failures return] All right! Roll call! Critsilver wielder Oifaye! Burger King Aless! Critbrave wielder Delmud! Fighting Failure leader Fin! Healer Nanna! General Fee! Badass Altenna! And finally, our champion... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLESTER! WIELDER OF THE VALKRYIE STAFF! Nanna, return all of these losers home! We don't need them! Fee, please, this is ridiculous. Go back. Has our "Father" been telling you things? NANNA! Send those two losers back home! Now seize the damn thing Serlis! Serlis: Fee, are you quite- DO IT OR ELSE! Serlis: Okay, fine! Serlis: Happy? Fee: Great! You can go home now! I'm done talking in the perspective of Fee and all those rebel idiots, but omjesus this looks like they're totally screwed. This is FEE'S battle formation. A line. I'm not even going to try to say that they have a hope of succeeding. Granted, they have Aless and Altenna, but they and Oifaye are more or less the entire army. Aaaaaaand they're leader's already dead. RIP Fee, the woman who tried to undermine my control. Oh yeah, funfact, she fell in love. With OIFAYE. These odds suck, but we're fighting some of the fastest enemies in the game, so... Wait, we have a WTA! AND +10 Gae Bolg SKILL! LOL, 2 damage? What is this, the beginning of the game? And then she wins via continue. Altenna is REALLY good, and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot! The Blood Mistoltin craves blood! Oifaye, show them how boss you are! THAT'S NOT BOSS AT ALL! YOU HAVE CRITSILVER FOR GOD'S SAKE! This is it! Will they all die? You missed. MISSED. Dead. OHKO, YEAHHHHH! I'm not sorry. NOOOOOO! You were the only good one! Well, he and Altenna. dead? You mean "oh I suck I can only do two damage to you" sword? Screw Meng's leadership! They're dodgy enough anyways! HA! Good luck killing me with that 2 DAMAGE! Meng, you suck! You can't damage me AT ALL! JESUS CHRIST, CRITICALS IN THIS GAME ARE BROKEN. Hahahahahahahaha that was close. Go Delmud! Your hit rate is higher than Oifaye's! CRITICAL! That critical hit didn't kill the sage. Wat. DA VALKRYIE STAFF CANNOT BE DEFEATED! Hey, HEY! I just seized it! WILL NANNA HIT? WILL SHE GAIN BACK 4 HEALTH ONLY TO DIE? No. You may have killed me now, but I will revive! The Valkryie staff says so! *gulp* Best unit, amiright? I mean, she didn't die! Nanna, Lana can heal 70+ health with a mend staff. And you only heal 28? HRAAAAAAGH! Dammit, no procs! ...This is it. You may outnumber me, but I've got da Gae Bolg! I CANNOT LOSE! I WILL FIGHT TO MY DYING BREATH! (not including 2 range) And thus, was the story...in an attempt to gain glory... All the mounted units died. Leaf promises to his sister that he will slay this generic sniper with his own hands! And then... A wormhole appears, bending space and time, and time on the earth reverts back to when... Serlis was about to seize. Watch out, Sherlock Holmes just arrived! I-ISHTAR?!?!?!? DAMMIT FE4, YOU AND YOUR SYMPATHETIC VILLAINS! And then Tearring Saga took this idea and applied it to about every other major villain. Wait, does "Her Highness" imply that she already married Julius? Serlis sure knows his priorities. Julia, I'll come for you! Psh, yeah right, we can just have Lakche do her dance again! Didn't she say something to the effect of "you're not my brother anymore" to Julius? Well that was...a failure. And that story was delayed for an update. I learned something though. Altenna for MVP. Next time: JULIA?!?!?
momogeek2141
[spoiler=The Final Showdown!] First things first, we continue to shut people up. Is she going to recruit herself onto our side? I don't mind having the Thorhammer for once! Damn, of course it wouldn't work. PAMELA'S BACK! HOORAY! A-Ari-on? DAMMIT! You mean...the MOUNTED rebel army! ...I'm actually going to have to think for once, aren't I? WHAT? Julia, what happened to you? MAAAAAANNNNNNNFFFFFFFLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYY! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU WITH...SOMEONE'S BARE HANDS! She-she's actually going to fight us? Time for the stats of everyone but the dark warlords and mooks. Ishtar is as scary as ever, but I've got my ways of dealing with her. Those five leadership stars would be a pain if you were trying to fight her legit, but I don't play by the rules . Looks like Pamela didn't like being a mage, so she returned to Falcoknight! Anyways, the 3 pegasus sisters' attack stat is kind of low, which is pretty surprising. They make up for that with 25 AS. 25. In addition, Meng here has 4 leadership stars, meaning they have evasion off the charts! They also have a 45% adept rate, as well as 23 critical, which you don't want to deal with. Oh, and you can't cheese them because nihil says noooooo. Julia is as scary as ever. She has that heal staff I left on her, in addition to a lightning tome that she gets if you left her unarmed like I did. She will kick our ass if she meets us, but she has bad durability and no nosferatu to make up for it. She brought the Circlet Alvis gave her, so she gets innate renewal and prayer. She one rounds almost everybody if she double hits, not including adept activations. In order to recruit her to our side, we'll need to kill Manfloy, seize Velthomer and then talk to her with Serlis. Speaking of Manfloy... Here he is, guarding velthomer! 4 leadership stars means that he'll hit kind of reliably, and I don't want that. His guards all have Hel, so you want to bait them from outside Fenrir range. Adept has a 34% chance of activating, which isn't absurdly high, but it's something you want to watch for, as nearly everyone is 2 shotted by Jormung. Oh, and he has charisma for some reason. Why they didn't just stick in an extra leadership star instead, I'll never know. The best strategy to dealing with him quickly and recruiting Julia is to have your army quickly beat Ishtar, Aless and Serlis punch through her lines and charge towards Velthomer by going north of the forest. Afterwards, have them kill the Hel mages, or just skip them and have Serlis kill Manfloy and seize. Sadly, I have neither Aless nor a promoted Serlis, so I'm just going to use Shanan, which is why I gave him the leg ring from Sety way back when. I'M GOING TO ENJOY KILLING YOU. Remember that Shanan and Lakche are by Dozel, so that's why the peg trio are going after them. And finally, Julius. As Lt_Matilda_Ajan said, Julius actually loses 5 magic for some reason. In exchange, he received a meteor tome, which will annoy the hell out of me, in addition to Nihil, meaning I can't have Lakche punch him repeatedly again. Instead, we get a different way to cheese him! Oh, and he lost 2 leadership stars for some reason as well. Whatever. Those are all the bosses for this time, and I'll cover the dark warlords when I prepare to attack Barhara.
bottlegnomes
I'd just like to take a minute to think about how stupidly OP Julius and Ishtar's kids would've been. Assuming Ishtar not having minor Fala was intentional (so no major Fala in the picture), one would have major Tordo, minor Fala, and minor Lopt for: HP +70 mag +50 skl +60 res +20 and the other would have major Lopt, minor Tordo, and minor Fala for: HP +60 mag +70 skl +30 res +40 on top of most likely pretty good growths (I actually worked out Julius's growths a one point, but I lost them and cba to do it again), and both would have continue, vantage, charge, nihil, pursuit, and wrath. momogeek2141
I'd just like to take a minute to think about how stupidly OP Julius and Ishtar's kids would've been. FE4 binary gave us the wrong final boss apparently. I actually decided to work them out for myself, 100% hp, 5% str, 115 mag (jesus), 10 skl, 45 spd, 25 lck, 5 def, 45 res. It's funny because Alvis's bad growths are the stats that he's supposed to be good in as well. [spoiler=Beating up Ishtar] So the plan to rescuing Julia will be this: I punch through Ishtar's army all the same, then Shanan will go and solo Manfloy's castle while Serlis will stall Julia. Hopefully she isn't stupid and attacks at 2 range. "But wait" you say "Shanan's at the bottom of the mountain! How are you going to get him up here?" You'll see. Anyways, blah blah, destroy sleep idiots. SHANAN! Note that this actually isn't what happens, since I forgot to have Altenna talk to Arion twice. Oh right, might as well get that out of the way so that we can skip the blooper. The hell are you doing here? No! Just...join us or something! Dammit...right next to Chalphy. Just...damn. Sortie Altenna here. And here, I was being stupid. I forgot to kill the pegasus trio. THIS is how I beat Ishtar. By shutting her up. What do you mean, it's a dick move? Final formation. So more or less, they bash us but we bash harder. Johalva with a 100% hit rate? Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? I'll never get used to good ol' icicle spears. Aaaand he missed. Rainbow wind! Will Patty finish what her brother failed to start? She uses brave swords better than Delmud. The killer bow wielders are actually quite dangerous, because they're extremely accurate and they have...well, a chance to crit. Serlis has become quite the magic tank, huh? BUT WE'RE NOT DONE YET! I do this just for lolz. And one of them actually hit. This gives Serlis the kill chance. Patch everybody up and it's go time for the plan. None of the rest of the army are combatants. And then I forget to talk to Arion. New formation, derp. RIP Dozel, castle of idiots. right. Arion's got a good point there, Altenna. Arion's risking his life too (in doing a dickish move, but still.) It won't be difficult! I don't. And then...Arion turns green. We don't get him. BOO. He is essentially a flying leadership bot, so there's that. They'll follow Altenna from now on, but Altenna's staying far away from combat. K, nobody else died. JOHALVA VS ISHTAR! That was productive. Blaggi meteor that heals everyone after Corple actually fights something. Hey, HEY! Where do you think you're going, miss? Never! I have it too! AND nihil! Wait, you have that too. Well then, I guess it's an even match, is it? STOP IT WITH PAMELA AND "DEATH" QUOTES! Lakche runs up the mountain and Shanan kills Meng (Meng? I think it's Meng. It's impossible to tell the idiots apart.) Heal her up. Still don't know what I'm going to do? GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT YOU COWARD! FIGHT WITH YOUR BARE FISTS! Or die. Wait, huh? Why is Thorhammer equipped? Does it just show that even though she's silenced? Oh never mind. That's it for Ishtar's squad! Once those pegadouches are dead, Shanan will get up here and resume his mission. Balmunged! Balmunged! And I win! At least I win the defense. Now I've got to attack! For Julia! For Jugdral! For Sigurd! Next time: Manfloy STILL trolls me!
momogeek2141
[spoiler=Beating up Manfloy] Fenrir guy is back in action it looks like! Now the plan is to just get Shanan up here and send him off on a mystical quest to Velthomer. How do we do that? We rescue him. Over the mountain. I actually got this idea from MartyTheDemonSlayer's 0% growths playthrough, and it works really well when you're trying to move fast. And then he can run all the way over here! Since I can't avoid fighting Julia, Serlis is simply going to have to stall in the forest. DAMMIT MANFLOY! She'll do 10 damage per hit. With a 23% hit rate, pursuit, and 45% adept, she'll miss quite a lot! Still, I don't want to die. I still need Serlis to get to Velthomer sooner or later, so might as well move now, right? Sadly, he's in range of Julius, meaning that the deadlords will move. Phew! Here they come! J-Julia? WHY ARE YOU ATTACKING AT CLOSE RANGE?! Get out of there, Meteor changes AI! If she had Nosferatu she would have died then because she would have been doubled! Meanwhile, Shanan made it to Velthomer, and is prepared to kill Manfloy! Wait WHAT! ARE YOU SERIOUS! FACE FRICKING PALM! MOVE SETY, GET UP HERE, THIS IS A CODE RED ALERT! Good, they'll make my life easier. Animations are on map now because it's just a bunch of stalling. Same old. Now I have a little dilemma. Sety needs to cross WITHOUT being in Julia's range. She'll be like "derp I do more damage I'm gonna attack you and get raped by Holsety." There! Shanan got hit by Hel, and is dodging like mad in his sleep. Why he can't attack in his sleep is beyond me. He can't die because of the way Hel works in this game. DIE, ASSHOLE! Sety successfully crossed the pit of doom, while Shanan continues daydreaming. Then Sety shows up. He saves Shanan! All hail Sety, I guess. Any time now, Manfloy will die and Serlis charge. Shanan gets healed at the church. (Thank god that was there, or I would have to rig 50% misses.) DA KING OF ISAAC SHALL FACE MANFLOY! AYRA SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU! I guess her nephew can do the job. You know how they say you have a greater chance of getting hit by lightning than winning the lottery? Well... BYE YOU LITTLE BASTARD! SHANAN! HOW COULD YOU MISS SUCH AN IMPORTANT HIT! I guess the same could be said of Manfloy, he even adepted! You have a 50+kill legendary weapon. That grants +10 skill. You have capped skill as well. WHY AREN'T YOU CRITTING GODDAMMIT! Ouch! Oh lord. WILL HE FINISH THIS? OR WILL HE PULL A SERLIS VS ALVIS? Nice! AND STAY DEAD! Now all we gotta do is pray Julia doesn't kill us! Shanan runs from Julia, and Serlis seizes. Alvis really is giving us a ton of good stuff! But that's-JULIA! MANFLOY'S DEAD, STOP ATTACKING PLS! YES! You're here to pretty much wipe out the opposition. Okay great. Book of Narga, here we come! It's awesome, isn't it? And then the golden light envelops Julia, etc. Narga is ridiculous. I can only imagine. Hey! In case the player didn't train Julia, we need to make her somewhat usable vs Julius! Oh I know! How about we give her 10 PERFECT LEVELS WORTH OF STATS! But which stats? OBVIOUSLY the ones that make her IMMUNE TO DAMAGE OF ALL KINDS, MAKES HER RETARDEDLY FAST, AND GUARANTEES A HIT! If she had a lover... Next time: We finish this game! momogeek2141
[spoiler=The twelve deadlords.] Now that we don't have to cower in fear of Julia anymore, the rest of our army moves this way. *sigh* I missed using Julia. This is our final attack formation vs the twelve deadlords. Eins is a Baron with Fuck You Shield, pursuit and adept. Only the former is worrying since he has an 8 AS, and he'll die easily to critelwind and Holsety and the like. Zwei is much more dangerous as he'll use that pursuit, and he has critical as well. He's got a strong weapon that we don't want to touch. Ichival or magic will take care of him fairly easily. Drei has wrath, so kill him fast or with a Nihil user (or both.) He uses lolaxes, so he'll never activate pursuit. Vier is a healer, thus her entire skillset is for survival. Funf is more or less an enemy Jamka, but that's not a problem because he has no 1 range, so he'll get slaughtered. Beware the killer bow. Sechs is similar to an Azel!Tinny like mine. Beware of wrath, that'll kill, and with the accuracy of magic... She'll double occasionally but not too often. Sieben sucks. If you're not doubling something's wrong. Elf is a pain because of Nosferatu and critical, but all you have to do is deal more damage than she heals (AKA use a magic user or Serlis/Aless.) Acht is scary as hell, using the best non-legendary tome in the game as well as having good skills. Silence him if you can, or just use magic and dodge tanks. Looking at his tome and skillset, Zehn is just supposed to be a troll. Watch out for Zwolf, as he can crit you, and has double chance of doing so. Use a nihil or magic user against him because brave swords are really accurate and you don't want to risk getting critted. Neun is quite possibly the scariest of the deadlords. 25 AS means she's hard to double, 28 skill means that her crit is high, 39 atk means those crits will hurt, and she can restore her health with renewal. ATTACK AT RANGE OR FACE HER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

momogeek2141
Who was the final boss in Binary? Yeah, I remembered him having some laughably low growths. Manfloy must've been feeding Julius whatever those villages had. Gotta love Naga. Base Julia can survive a round with Julius and even doubles him, albeit only for 6 damage a hit. But still The final boss was a buffed Julius, I think. I said that mainly because they did a bunch of stupid things to increase difficulty, such as having a generic high priest with major narga blood and the Narga tome guard Velthomer instead of Manfloy. Had they included that "son", it would have been the best final boss ever (and the hardest too) Narga is the bomb (quite literally.) Well, this LP has been quite fun for me, but all good things must come to an end, eh? No, this LP was dumb. This is the final combat update. [spoiler=Game Over.] Ms. "completely immune to magical damage" and her half brother will bait out Julius. OKAY FINE, RUN FROM JULIA. SHE'LL GET YOU ANYWAYS. Let's get started! Faval vs Zwei! DEAD! One down, 11 to go! Patty vs Sechs! BEGIN! Whoops, forgot about wrath. New plan: keep Julia in the MIDDLE. Sety vs Sechs! BEGIN! Holsety OP, pls nerf. So what does Narga do? It summons a fucking dragon. Well, that's Drei dead. Tinny vs Eins! BEGIN! Hard not to win when you have critelwind, eh? Lakche vs Zwolf! BEGIN! The icicle spears and backflips triumph! Motherfuck- Halva vs Funf! Neither died! Faval doesn't kill Zwei, sadly. Scathach sure does! Done? Psh! Patty vs Funf! BEGIN! Patty crits so much that her sword turned invisible. Neun, normally you may be an asshole, but I don't stand for that. JULIA WILL UNLEASH THE GREAT DRAGON UPON THEE! THE GREAT DRAGON CALLS UPON THE SPIRIT OF THE MOON, AND THE MOON RESPONDS BY SENDING DOWN A NUKE THAT OBLITERATES THE FOE! Julia, ladies and gentlemen. I'm not even following my own advice vs Acht, lol. Doesn't matter, Shanan is good against anyone without leadership stars. Critsilver OP. That's twice Lakche's been robbed! Excellent! 3 left, and one of them can't even fight. I like Elf's palette. Crap. Fortunately he doesn't activate charge. Nosferatanking? What's that? I have Sety use lightning instead of "destroy everything Holsety" because...I don't want Zehn to die. Because Johalva's not level 30 yet! Iron swords, lol. I did that so that Serlis can kill at least one of the deadlords. I mean, he isn't that great, so let him feast upon the weak. And now... IT'S TIME FOR THE FINAL SHOWDOWN! JULIUS, PRINCE OF DARKNESS, HEIR TO THE LOPT EMPIRE, VS JULIA, GODDESS OF LIGHT, DESCENDANT OF NARGA! Oh yeah, another reason Narga is so good is because it negates the effect of Lopt. So Julia does normal damage. Manfloy's so incompetent that he doesn't know the ramifications of keeping alive the Heim princess. TING! VWING! HERE COMES THE DRAGON! MAGICAL NUKE! VWING! THE DARK GOD LOPOTOUSU SHALL NEVER TOUCH NARGA! NUKE! ADEPT NUKE! That's round one. Julius is in wrath hp. Too bad she has Nihil! The throne of Barhara gives him little strength! This little gives him courage however because... HE FACES HIS SISTER ONCE MORE! THE DARK GOD BELLOWS HIS DARK FLAMES EVERYWHERE, BUT IS UNABLE TO TOUCH NARGA! And now come the final 4 pictures in which an enemy is alive! TING! That's it. I'm done. I completed around 90% of Fire Emblem 4 without any use of mounts involved! The dark god speaks to us now. It would be awesome if we had to fight this dragon. Sadly... He dies. Not too bad, that's better than about half the chapters I did! Then Lana warps Julia over to Freege... And she throws nukes in the arena. Lol, I feel bad for this guy. This is it! I'm officially done! Obligatory YOANUR pic. Wait, how in gods name did Fee marry Oifaye?! I'm so confused! Aaaaand ending freeze. I can't show you my beautiful E rank in tactics because my game is hard patched. Either way, I'm done. To those who read this: Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have! To those who commented: Your comments made me enjoy the playthrough more since I got some feedback as to how I was doing, as well as alternate views on things! One last unit review is coming up, so stay tuned for that! Edited June 30, 2015 by momogeek2141

momogeek2141
What do you plan to do now that FE4 is done?I don't actually know. I'm definitely going to take a break, since these are kinda time consuming, but I was leaning most towards FE5 Leaf+girls. I don't mind doing FE12 shit units, FE12 prepromotes or FE12 unpromoted units either. If you already couldn't tell which are my two favorite FE's after 4, well there you go. momogeek2141
[spoiler=Unit Review] Note: In calculating these, I haven't accounted for the units' inferior base stats as well as stat conversations. HP -3.6 Str -3 Mgc -1.5 Skl (capped) Spd (hard to calculate, around 0) Lck +4.0 Def -1 Res +1.5 Serlis's combat ability actually varied more than any other unit. During chapter 6, he was pretty much god as he one rounded every unit and laughed at them with critbrave. This led him to be overleveled, and Chapter 7 isn't good for Serlis in any playthrough. Afterwards, the children units slowly caught up to his level and he was left behind. Chapter 9 he was still usable because of critbrave, but his ability fell sharply in chapter 10. Until he got Tyrfing. This sword alone made him really good because Tyrfing provides a speed bonus and is very powerful, not to mention the absurd resistance. This made him a viable combat unit in endgame. Grade: B+ HP +2.9 Str (capped) Mgc -0.6 Skl (capped) Spd (capped) Lck -2.5 Def -3.0 Res +3.0 Hoo boy. Scathach was amazing from start to finish. The silver blade is a very powerful weapon, and Jamka provides him with some of the best stats in the game. In addition, his skills were the same as Lakche's, making them essentially equal, with the latter only being superior because of a better promoted class. He simply, would not, stop attacking his opponent until they died. Amazing. Little upset over the defense screwage, but he was rarely a main frontline unit anyways. Grade: A (note that I don't give A+'s to anyone but the award winners.) HP -3.4 Str +0.8 Mgc (capped) Skl +1.3 Spd -3.0 Lck (capped) Def +1.3 Res -0.7 I'm not joking when I say this. This Lana was the best healer I've ever had in any fire emblem game. Some people may say that Azel provides you with the best Lana, but I disagree. Her only flaw was that she couldn't fight well because she had no skills. But she could heal like a champion. Early fortify is a godsend, early rescue is a godsend, physic, warp...anything you wanted her to do, she could do it. With such a wide arsenal of staves at her hand, she most likely will promote earlier than usual. Her stats aren't half bad either, as she caps magic really easily. Amazing. Grade: A(expect to see a lot of these) (Not important enough to do stats for.) HE SAVED MY ASS IN CHAPTER 9! ALL HAIL KING ARTHUR! Grade: C+ HP -1.8 Str (capped) Mgc=0 Skl +2.0 Spd -0.8 Lck +1.2 Def -1.0 Res +0.1 Eh, Johalva was pretty mediocre. He couldn't kill anything without activating charge, and he uses lolaxes which kills him. Brave axe and bow aren't bad weapons for him to use though. He was most useful in chapter 10, where he could brave bow dark mages without getting countered, but his bad speed is a huge flaw against him. Grade: B- HP -5.9 Str (capped) Mgc +0.6 Skl (capped) Spd -3.6 Lck +0.5 Def (capped) Res -2.0 Patty is screwed by the RNG. Dammit Anna. Anyways, she started out pretty weak, in need of kills, but once she got there, she wielded that brave sword and never looked back. She critted in virtually every battle, which is impressive, and she could kill pretty well too with those thwomp stats. It's too bad she got speed screwed, she could have killed better. She was a great unit in the end, but needed a bunch of kills. Grade: A- (Lol you suck I'm not even going to do stats for you.) Why would I give him critbrave again? Grade: D HP -0.3, Str -3.0 Mgc (capped) Skl (capped) Spd (capped) Lck -3.9 Def -1.4 Res -1.0 Tinny was a goddess. She only needed a few kills at the beginning to get her going, but once she did, she was unstoppable. Promotion gave her much needed durability. She would dodge almost everything with critelwind, high speed and luck, and a Sety support. She one rounded pretty much everything with Adept, Pursuit, critelwind, and if it came to it, wrath. Magic ring improved her killing power. She's sorely underrated, especially Azel!Tinny. Grade: A (Stats aren't important) Leen actually didn't do very much early on because it was mostly Julia nosferatanking everything, but towards the end of the game, she helped a lot by allowing Faval and Sety to double kill Sleep mages and stuff. She was nowhere as useful as Sylvia though, since enemies didn't take two rounds to kill. Grade: B+ HP -6.7 Str (capped) Mgc +1.9 Skl -1.0 Spd -0.3 Lck -2.0 Def (capped) Res -0.5 Finally caught up that strength, eh? Faval was pretty weak at first because he was RN screwed, but Anna gave him her mercy and he caught up in almost everything afterwards. With a power ring and Ichival, he could one shot many dark mages and put them out of use before they could do anything. He, like Patty, was very crit happy so I saw tons of overkills by him. Excellent unit. Grade: A- (Sorry bro, I don't got any cool pics of you. Unless you want to see yourself Fenrir'd to death.) HP -4.0 Str -1.4 Skl +1.0 Spd=0 Lck=0 Def -1.9 Res -0.5 Failure in life, Hannibal's greatest achievement was killing a lone troubador. He starts out so gimped that it's hard to salvage him at all, and even if you do he's nothing special. Grade: D+ HP -4.8 Str -2.0 Mgc -2.2 Skl -4.2 Spd -0.2 Lck -6.6 Def +0.1 Res -0.1 Well well, I see we have the champion of RNG screwedness here! Lex!Corple actually isn't very good, but he does level up fast. He was decent at physicing, but his main job was to spam restore and wake up units like Shanan. For that, he was pretty good, but by no means was he stellar. Grade: B- And now the award winners: Third place we have: HP +3.7 Str (capped) Mgc -0.4 Skl (capped) Spd -1.0 Lck -2.2 Def -3.0 Res -1.0 WHY U NO CAP SPEED?! Critsilver is amazing, that's all I have to say. She wielded that sword proudly, and with her skillset, she made one of the best bosskillers in the game. Early on, she killed tough guys like Dannan, Ovo, and she even beat Julius! Swordmasters are broken in this game, and Lakche is one of the best. It's too bad she didn't cap speed, she'd then be better than her mother! Grade: A+ In second place comes: (Oh cmon, I had to!) HP +3.4 Str -1.4 Mgc +0.1 Skl (capped) Spd -0.6 Lck -1.6 Def=0 Res +0.1 SHANANANANANAN, DA KING OF ISAAC! With the Balmung, he's set for endgame even at base level. It's ridiculously powerful, and if you're like me and get 50 kills on it...well yeah. He was better than Lakche after he got the Balmung, but Lakche was still slightly better at bosskilling due to Nihil. It was hilarious, he would just OHKO crit so many enemies with the Balmung and then take no damage. Really, his only weakness is leadership stars. Grade: A++ And finally, the MVP of FE4 Mountless IS: LOLOLOLOLOLO-*shot* Okay, TBH, I wasn't sure who to give MVP to, so it'll be a tie! First up: HP +0.6 Str -1.2 Mgc +2.5 Skl (capped) Spd (capped) Lck +1.2 Def +0.4 Res -2.4 Sety is the best foot unit in the game, no questions asked. Out of all the children, he's the LEAST likely to get screwed over. Especially with Levin as his father, he can fight very well at base, as well as use various staves. Magic ring helped him in his Tornado murdering, but towards the end he was using exclusively Holsety. It's a broken tome. IMO, Sety is the best Holsety user in the game. (Still think LevinxTiltyu is better though, even though I haven't tried it.) Saved multiple villages via leg ring. Carried the team during chapter 10-endgame. Grade: MVP And lastly, HP -1 Str -1.9 Mgc (capped) Skl +3.2 Spd +2.5 Lck +2.3 Def +2.1 Res (capped) My god, that's quite the RNG blessing, isn't it? Anyways, Julia during chapter 6 wasn't very useful because all she could do was heal people with mend. Once she got Nosferatu, however, her usefulness rose by leaps. She was more or less the Ardan of the generation that could kill things. She tanked out dark mages in ch 7, Liza's army, Jabarro's army, and Ovo's squad! It made my life so much easier. She also promoted early and became a magical nuke that could kill things really easily. (She one rounded Trabant without any legendary weapon!) Sadly, she missed out on ch 10+most of endgame, but that's when Sety took over her duties. Once she got Narga, she walked up, kicked the ass of Julius and the deadlords, and was overall awesome. I used to think she mediocre until she got Narga, but now I think she needs to move up the tier list. Then again, you don't really need her tanking abilities in vanilla FE4. Grade: MVP [spoiler=Thoughts on pairings] ClaudXAideen: My new favorite after MidirXAideen. Lana becomes so good in this pairing that the early game is almost a cakewalk if you play your cards right. Better than AzelXAideen IMO because early fortify and rescue are better than being able to fight with lolelfire. JamkaXAyra: Another awesome pairing. The thing that sells it the most is that it gives Scathach a chance to shine as much as Lakche. Both children are amazing, and the pairing is sweet. Better than Lex, possibly Noish if you have a crit weapon. DewXLachesis: I dunno too much about the kids, but I know that it makes Dew's money dumping shenanigans a lot easier with Thief Sword!Lachesis. LexXSylvia: I should have gotten the subs, Sharlow had a 50% magic growth and a berserk staff, which is better than Corple's 25% magic growth and...well, Corple IS kinda tanky. LevinXFury: Many others have tried it before, it's fucking awesome. AzelXTiltyu: Kids are glass cannons, but they destroy so effectively. Hell, with that speed and magic growth, even Arthur had his uses! NoishXBriggid: Patty isn't as good as Holyn!Patty, but still excellent at combat (if she isn't speed screwed like mine.) Faval is a monster with critical and charge. If he procs speed regularly, he'll be a star unit. [spoiler=Final Thoughts] This was definitely the most fun I've had in an FE game. It was a different kind of playthrough because I got to use the units I like to use more than the ones that are just plain good. Expressing my frustrations to you guys at certain parts was also fun. It honestly wasn't as hard as I thought. I guess if you tried to solo the prologue and genoa with Ardan and Azel it would be much more challenging, but after that the strategies would mostly be the same anyways, just Ardan promotes earlier. I'll admit that making the earlygame mounts rule saved me some frustration, and made it easier. But anyways, it isn't too difficult, just tedious to walk units back and forth, and my turncounts are nothing to be proud of. Well, this is it! The End! PuffPuff
[spoiler=The Final Showdown!] And finally, Julius. In the binary hack, he is near impossible to kill without all three charisma bots. Even with them, Julia has less than a 50ish chance to hit him. [spoiler=Beating up Ishtar] The hell are you doing here? No! Just...join us or something! Dammit...right next to Chalphy. Just...damn. He's piss easy even in the binary hack. His spear can do 1~2 range. Now the war is getting holy. [spoiler=Beating up Manfloy] I still need Serlis to get to Velthomer sooner or later, so might as well move now, right? Sadly, he's in range of Julius, meaning that the deadlords will move. Phew! He never uses Meteor whenever someone is at the front of his doorstep attacking him. [spoiler=The twelve deadlords.] Acht is scary as hell, using the best non-legendary tome in the game as well as having good skills. Silence him if you can, or just use magic and dodge tanks. He can possibly attack up to 14 times in a row which happened once making him laughable with a Miracle Lana. :D Too bad she can't ever do good damage to him though having to finish him with a good melee unit. Sleep is all you can do on this foe. Edited June 30, 2015 by Princess_Florina
