Gheb is apparently still running. Gheb: …Ew. So, in GhebFE, the renevants and stuff are not actual renevants but apparently walking piles of poo. Because this hack really needed toilet humor. Amelia: Yeah… Eeeww. Selena: Well, that’s part of Lyon’s research. I am not envious of Lyon. Gheb: Errrrr… Gheb: How can crap walk? Selena: Um, no. So, if ONLY for his Summoner utility, I'm going to take him with me. He'll be hard to train, but it'll be worth his cool phantoms once he promotes. See these monster generics? They're weak. REALLY. Weak. As I said before, we'd be getting a breather, and this is it! (this is assuming promotion items work how i think they do, so i might be wrong) not to mention there's eventually a prepromoted thief that'll be able to do colm's job anyways. now for characters Novala: i wouldn't say he's awful, but that speed makes him literally slower then base GHEB for some reason, and yeah while he could be nice for summoning... Lyon: you get him in this chapter and he's already a summoner, he can use dark magic, fire magic, staffs, he summons his own phantoms...really the game's difficulty starts getting more manageable when he joins. To begin, it turns out Mastur Bait is NOT EFFECTIVE AGAINST MONSTERS. What was the point of it, then!? Also, Rotten Claws now count as axes with regard to the weapon triangle. BECAUSE WE REALLY NEEDED MORE AXES. Already, we're getting some more bonewalkers. At least my troops STAND A CHANCE against these guys. Give us stuff! Cool. Luring strats! Ow. At least he isn't doubled, like he is with literally every other frikkin enemy!! Oh, uh... what? L’arachel: I heart dead people. Seriously? L’arachel: Who cares! Okay, so what I'm getting from this is, L'arachel is normal but Dozla and Rennac have been replaced with Tethys and a generic bandit... who are BARDS. While we could assume the future chapters they appear in as green units will be utter hell, as I said, a lot of roles have been switched around, so there's STILL HOPE! Gheb, literally every level you've had so far has been 2-3 stats. Can you actually get a GOOD level up? Take example from Cormag, getting speed AND resistance! Riev, he knows how to handle these guys. Excellent, more food for the team! Syrene roasts an enemy and continues to prove why she's worthwhile. Since these guys essentially use axes now, my sword guys still have a big advantage. Keep it up, Colm! Lances don't work. Cormag will be using the old "tank on a tree" maneuver. Bluh! Great. This guy seems like Gheb V0.8, the prototype that had RES. Get something other than HP and magic! Amelia dodges, and decides to do it more in the future. What? We've won? Already? Let's get Lyon! I think it's best for all our fragile minds if we just assume these are hugs. Lyon: I missed you too. Lyon: Allright, allright. Even if you're a bard, his stats are low enough that you could probably do it... Tethys: Whatever… L’arachel: Yes…we should go. Toorooloo! Tee hee! Yeah, I know. "Toorooloo"? Moving on. NEXT TIME: HOLY CRAP THIS CHAPTER IS DIFFICULT GROWTHS: Novala: HP: 65% Magic: 60% Skill: 40% Speed: 30% Luck: 30% Defense: 25% Resistance: 50% Total: 300% Seem like a standard shaman. No real specialization in anything but magic and HP. If he doesn't get some speed or skill soon, it's not going to bode well for him. Note: Lyon's growths may or may not be correct, there was some confusion with what character slot he was using. He is NOT using Lute's character slot, that's something totally different. I think he might actually be using Knoll's character slot. Maybe. I'm not at all sure. Lyon: HP: 60% Magic: 55% Skill: 50% Speed: 40% Luck: 40% Defense: 20% Resistance: 50% Total: 315% Okay guys, I want an honest opinion from you guys here: Novala or Lyon? Either one could turn out well, and while Novala would PROBABLY turn out better in the long-term, the loss of short-term helpfulness might actually not be worth it. Any input from you guys? We can take everyone we actually intend to use, but I'm gonna try to do this without Caellach this time! Haha, past Moniker, you naive fool! ...No, just no. THE FORMATION! Batta: Battle’s already started… I was having so much fun… Gheb: Shota? Who put a shota in here!! Is he really THAT shota? Ewan: Umm… Well, at least he's agreeing... *headdesk* Amelia: Oh…kay… DESPITE THIS BEING INTENDED AS A JOKE, IT IS NOT SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT EWAN So... this chapter. You know how so far, the enemies have been super-buffed, but have been coming at us in relatively small quantities? Well, not anymore. This chapter is when GhebFE starts going FULL FORCE. Tons of enemies, lots of them charging you, a time limit in the form of the bandits... there is little mercy to be had here. Much death will be had. However, if we can succeed, we get THIS GUY! He acts as backup stealer, and presumably a good combat unit too, like a better Gheb! Once again, I'll have to look at his growths. Also, if you might be thinking "Oh yeah we can drop Colm now" THINK AGAIN. The guy's still insanely useful for combat(he saved my butt so many times this chapter, as a wimpy thief or not), and Batta's speed isn't half as great as Colm's. Remember, even the earlygame Prologue fighters had like 12 speed or something, and Batta here doesn't have that! And now, they're even more tough... I kinda feel like Selena's stats will become like this if we level her, but by the time she's up to par with these enemies, they'll probably be warriors with capped speed and everything! We've also got some new generic types, as ridiculous as ever. Note that the armor is the only enemy Batta can steal from. Finally, we have Gerik himself. He isn't that amazing, and since he almost definitely doesn't move(and has just a 1-range weapon), I see no reason to be worried about him. GROWTHS: Ewan: HP: 80% Magic: 80% Skill: 80% Speed: 80% Luck: 80% Defense: 80% Resistance: 80% Total: 560% HOLY EVERLOVING CRAP I WAS WRONG SO HORRIBLY WRONG MUST TRAIN SOMEHOW Batta: HP: 95% Strength: 60% Skill: 35% Speed: 25% Luck: 25% Defense: 30% Resistance: 15% Total: 285% I don't like him, and I believe he might be worse than Gheb. Mugging + being better than Gheb at avoiding being doubled + somewhat good promotion (I think) = profit. Ewan is top tier, just use him. Not so sure if he's a T0 or not. And, knowing this hack, it's something very, very bad. On the plus side, daiyum those growths on Ewan! Now if only you can actually get him those levels so he can actually use those growths... HF Makalov Fanboy Kai Posted August 12, 2015 Share Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) holy fuck i thought batta's growths were better then that, i must've gotten a blessed batta. with that said i say try him out and see what happens, he did work out fantastic for me, it also helps on my version he has 18 strength at base and 12 speed. but really, who are you going to use as your axe user, Gheb? his promotion is basically a better berserker anyways not to mention his base stats are better, heck you get a skill book and defense shield this chapter so you could feed em to batta or gheb if you wanted. and lol wow ewan, its really hard to train him but damn, also he is tier zero. doing this chapter without Caellach is like being ameila with gheb without lube.
