I had a hard time choosing between Nomadic Troopers (They kick ass, as they're like pallys minus the def., plus the speed and range), Swordsmen (Dodge and Crit > All... until they get hit <_<...) and Heroes. I decided on Heroes simply because they have overwhelming stats all around. D:

That's true, but their speed & skill really make up for it. No other class (IMO) is more adept for the battlefield than a hero. Plus, they have formidable defences, and a reasonably high HP growth rate. Plus, they have axes and swords leaving no field (meleewise) uncovered, as they are weak to nothing.

-Edit, accidentally said fighter instead of hero... <_<-

I second you, Archers are underated. They're really very useful, and have awesome stats. I don't really like berserkers, though. Their complete lack of skill really kills them off - I'd rather use a Swordsmaster. Admitidly, they have a lot less strength, but they have more skill, and speed (same cirt), so they're a much more reliable unit.

Berserkers FTW! Seriously, one of the few reasons FE9 isn't my favorite is because there isn't a berserker until the last few chapters. When you do get him, your team is pretty set in. Boyd had to fill that gap. He did ok, but bows can never replace a good old critical bonus.

Berserkers: So yeah, we do lots of damage, and critical a lot...we can kill swordmasters in 1 hit, and have enough HP to withstand a nuclear explosion...we also have metal arms!

what's not to like about that...their dodging isn't too shabby either!

sniper, of course :>

well, I'd like swordmasters too, and if will be a class that uses bow and swords (on foot), it will be my favourite!!!

Blade Lods FTW.

Realistically, it would be Swordsmaster. With a Killing Edge:

Crit!

Crit!

Crit!

Crit!

One turn with Guy.
