Natasha is definitely my favorite of the bunch. She's arguably not as good a unit as others on the list, but I still use her. I like her character a lot too, and pairing her with Joshua is awesome, those two were made for each other. Plus her conversations with other characters (such as Cormag) are top-notch. She's really just a great character!

NOTE:

1: A character's starting class determines which list they go on. For prepromotes, what would have been their starting class in their game determines which list they go on. For example, Renault is a Bishop, but his starting class would have been a Monk if he wasn't a prepromote, so he goes on the Monk/Bishop list. Yodel, on the other hand, goes on the Priest/Cleric/Bishop list, he is a Bishop but in Binding Blade Monk was not a class so his starting class would have been a Priest.

2: If a character is not playable in the main story, they are not included.

Serra by a mile. I love her character and design. The fact that when we read her supports we see she's has way less confidence that she lets on is endearing. I loved her supports with Oswin especially and they can end up together! Yay!

I said Natasha since she fills all my criteria for being a good Cleric:

-Is attractive(I know, I sound horrible)

-Has a great ship(Being Joshua)

-Is good in any promotion

-Has a decent personality without supports

-Is not Serra(I really hate Serra)

Natasha, though I'm also fond of Ellen and Serra. I'm personally not convinced Moulder's better AT ALL, since all he really has to his name is slightly better durability, which is offset by having shit luck, and more con, which doesn't mean much of anything to me.

Man, Binding Blade being my first game, Saul's contradictory in his womanising nature vs his holy chivalry was always a good laugh. Sure, Virion in Awakening is a similar womanising archetype, but Saul got there first. Besides, his conversation with Dorothy reminds me of the funnier moments of Misty restraining Brock and his womanising habits in the Pokémon anime. Actually, now that I think about it, I just cannot imagine Saul having anything other than a Croagunk...

...And probably getting Poison Jabbed every time he tries to flirt.

Serra for me. Natasha and Saul fighting for a very close second.

I'm not sure why, but I've always liked Serra. Yeah, she kinda comes off as "overconfident", but ever since my first playthrough of FE7 as kid a couple years, she always stood out to me (nowadays, I feel like if I were her friend I would mess with her by being sarcastic with sometimes...it's a funny image in my head). Never saw any of her supports though since it took WAAAY to long to get them (maybe I'll just allow myself to look it up because I usually don't look up support conversations online)!

Natasha and Saul are pretty great too, along with their supports. Mainly Natasha's support with Joshua(which I deem canon) and Saul's support with Dorthy( because shenanigans ensues and I love it)!

One thing though that puts Serra over the other two is that, and this will sound dumb, but I can actually trust Serra a lot more to be bait for enemy units and not get herself killed.

On multiple occasions too. :Joshua:

I voted Serra. Please forgive me. I honestly don't think I can rank them, but let's discuss.

Never really used Ellen. Always seemed like the standard-issue early-game cleric. Not that that's a bad thing.

I have used Saul. I enjoy his personality, and he made a good healer. But he took forever to promote and give light magic to.

Yodel comes bearing more legendary weapons than any other character in the series. So that's something.

Serra is a good healer, and one of the most memorable characters in FE7. Cripes, she gets her own theme music! Which you can enjoy during her many supports.

Moulder "The Smoulder" has a mighty mustache. And a remarkably brown sprite palette.

Natasha is, I think, the better of the horseless healers. I love her Bishop sprite, too.

Serra. Looks, comedic relief, decent usefulness in-game. Clearly overshadowed, but still decent.

Runner ups;

Saul. Pretty much like him for the exact same reasons as Serra. Light magic kinda sucks in fe6, but I'd say he's the best option for it.

Natasha. Pretty and likable, albeit a little boring. Stats not too bad, though I wish one of her class options had a better magic cap.

Moulder. He has the best looking sage pallete. He was better than Garcia and Dozla, but I still felt bad for his old-guy growth rates. Likable though.

Pitied;

Ellen. Bland, bad stats. Don't hate her, but don't care for her.

Yodel. Boring. Unless you support him with Niime. But using her is its own issue.
