[SOLVED] Is it possible to retrieve the magic sound effects for normal playback?

I guess I'll just say exactly what I want to do at this point - I'm programming a Fire Emblem fangame which isn't a hack, and I need sound effects for it. I have already managed to either find or rip most of the sound effects I need, but I'm still missing a good number of magic sound effects. Of course, I could just turn off the BGM and record them straight from the game, but in that case there will always be either a hit or a miss sound effect superimposed on the magic sound effect. I can't think of a situation where you would just hear the magic sound on its own. However, Yeti managed to do it somehow, so I guess it's possible somehow. (No, I can't just steal from Yeti.)

If anyone cares, I particularly want the sounds for Aureola, Apocalypse, Excalibur, Luce, Gespenst and the S-Rank tomes from Sacred stones. Does anyone know how I can isolate and/or extract them?

The GBAFE sound effects are part of the rom's music table just like any track of music is. Refer to Partial Music List.txt, which I believe comes with Nightmare, and go to each "song" in Sappy and export the samples.

exporting the samples won't work because they're not just samples alone, they have certain effect applied to them such as pitch bends, etc. You'd need to find a programming that can record internal audio and do it that way, most likely.

How do I do that, exactly? I found the right (well, so I thought) Nightmare module, but it only lists the actual, well, music as options for the chapter BGM. I guess if I was to forcibly enter some other address in there it would work, but I don't think it will let me do that.

FE7's chapter data module lists off sound effects in the music.txt dropbox properly

FE8's does not, but you can do this:

- change the chapter music code inside the nightmare module with notepad, from NDHU to NEHU

- refer to the FE7 music.txt and start checking each byte around the magic sounds that FE7 does not cover (previously used ones like fire and thunder and stuff should match up)

as far as I can remember, the GBA series never reset their sound file entries so it makes it easier, but you'd have to find the bytes for the new tomes yourself if you wanna do it manually

failing that time-consuming nonsense, you can record from a battle scene with the music off (best I can tell you)
