ScreenShot Mr.Night plays Sun God's Wrath Blind Run[COMPLETED](for now)

From the creator of Corrupt Theocracy, Blademaster! has created a sequel called Sun God's Wrath in Fe8. Looks really good so I am going to LP it and play it blind. I didn't read everything in moniker's LP but I am more of a gameplay guy anyway so not knowing the history exactly is not a big deal to me, I can still get the gist of it. I will be playing this in hard mode to also be somewhat of a beta tester for that mode and provide feedback as I go. Let's get this shit started.

Prologue, laying down the story

wait is this another possible tale of what the scouring really was in another FE universe? I ask cause this can strangely fit in with nintendo's "explain every series events with the muti-universe theory" excuse lately.

that huge wall of text for my team but a short nice sentence for his. Honestly the player could have got a sentence here too and all that other stuff could have been little bits and pieces mentioned in the story over time to give depth to the characters. However I get why and will show it soon.

Just to tell you a few advices :

- This game's "incredibly hard" on hard mode. Expect to savestate A LOT.

- Chapter 7 is a monster. Be prepared for it will be in your nightmares.

- I'd advise you to skip some chapter's rewards to get more exp or simply because it's too hard. If you don't wanna end on the short end for money, just never sell until you really need to buy a thing.

- Try to have as diverse weaponry as possible. Weapon Triangle matters a lot there.

- Try to early-promote whenever you can. The game doesn't really punish you for that atm.

You might have nightmares due to that, but it's fun. Good luck, MrNight!

Thanks for LPing this! Hard mode isn't balanced yet, but I did take what Ninetales said in regards to chapter 7 and made it a bit easier since the archers now have iron bows instead of steel bows.

Other than that, hard mode is still a work in progress. Good luck!

Prologue, part 2. I quickly get paid

assuming she is the "lord" of this hack. Comes with a 50 use light brand I will be abusing and decent erika stats. Also apparently con has a growth rate in this hack so our units may get beefier later on.

Ok so this is kind of explains why the story gave us a bit of exposition on each unit we got because the hack will be using the space in the character info screen to let us know what they can do. Both characters and classes can have skills making each unit we get unique.

Also this axe guy is pretty useless with that horrible skill stat he has. Will show why later on.

Here we have a pissed off woman who will be the real mvp a lot. Stats ain't bad either, I just hope her growths don't suck.

(won't be showing growths till the end, that way we can celebrate on how lucky I am or laugh at how rng screwed I got.)

Only healer but what makes her the best healer ever is she comes with renewal. Get magic every level and you never have to worry about getting benched my dove.

Best unit in the game 10/10

has the stats, has the weapon choices, and looks good while killing bastards.

Thoughts on this chapter

Pretty damn straight forward. Takes awhile to get to the action due to the story but it's well written story so it is not even a problem really. The chapter is still possible to do and nothing bad stands out so its a pretty solid chapter.

Cutting down text is something we've been trying to work on, but my editor is currently very busy and I won't be able to get in contact with them for a bit. As it stands right now, there is less text than the prologue of FE6 and FE8 (if you exclude the Anna scene and chapter 1 is shorter as well) but it can still be quite long.

In regards to the prologue in hard mode, it's the same as normal mode, just with the +10 hit given to all enemies. The main thing I think I'll need to fix with hard mode is that in chapter six there are some enemies that have 1~3% crit chances that need to be nerfed.

I never really noticed that Sol's goal was to be cannon fodder though. That's a funny way of looking at it!

Your analysis has some flaws :

- Ulysses is the only dude close to a tank you'll have in hard mode. And you'll want a tank. +he promotes to GK, and you know what that means.

- Evan's like your lifesaver. ~25 crit on everything is awesome. And with something you can get later on it will grow to ~40 crit.

As for the rest :

- Relina's actually really strong, but has kinda eww durability. Don't expect her to tank a lot, but with the right choices of weapon, she's really great.

- Katherin as long as she has her wo dao is the spinning blade of death for sure. And when she loses it give her effective weaponry so she wrecks things harder.

- Nell is not really a staffbot, as her staff rank won't go up until promotion. :D

- Astrea's great, Astrea can be your lifesaver, and you'll see why later.

BTW, the real "fun" of the game only starts at chapter 4, you'll see why.

At least he doesn't require his promotion to be effective unlike that other mage.

Thoughts on this chapter

5 turns keep it short and sweet. However I question throwing tanky strong wyverns at the player this early. Wyverns are pretty top tier units even unpromoted and throwing 5 of them that early might be a problem. There is also the random spawns coming in (well suppose to come in) that could have been iffy too. Other than this chapter is pretty solid.

Looking at the code, there is one extra camera movement, but otherwise it should be moving to show the turn 4 reinforcements.
