How forging works in this game?

You need a duplicate of the same weapons and a certain amount of minerals in order to forge.

To forge a +1 Iron Sword, you need two Iron Swords and a mineral (I forgot what kind).

To forge a +2 Iron Sword, you need two Iron Swords +1 and two such minerals.

And so on.

The forging process is free, but you need money to buy the weapons in question or gain them via DLC.

Minerals can be gained infinitely and for free from other people's MC, then you can grind for more in the Arena.

lol, what?

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 =/= 128 lol, it's 28

That's not how it works. You need 2^7 = 128 of the same weapon to forge a +7. Remember that you need two +1 to forge a +2, two +2 to forge a +3, and so on...

When you forge a weapon, how much does the hit, crit, and mt increase with each forge?

It varies between forges.

I've taken note of my observations between forges. Those are the boosts you should expect:

Normal vs. +1: 2 Might

Normal vs. +2: 4 Might, 2 Hit

Normal vs. +3: 6 Might, 4 Hit, 1 Crit

Normal vs. +4: 8 Might, 6 Hit, 3 Crit

Normal vs. +5: 9 Might, 10 Hit, 6 Crit

Normal vs. +6: 10 Might, 15 Hit, 10 Crit

Normal vs. +7: 11 Might, 20 Hit, 15 Crit

As far as Bronze weapons and other weapons that cannot critical are concerned, the crit bonus turns into a hit bonus instead.

The whole system works differently on skirmish enemies as far as I'm aware. They do not gain crit on their weapon boosts regardless of type, and the boost between forges seems to be lower.

so if i was to forge a levin sword to +7, based on the calculations above the might should be 22, the hit should be 100%, and since the weapon can't crit it adds 15 to the hit, thus making it a forge +7 levin sword

22 Mt

120 Hit

and unable to crit

of course you said that it is slightly different for some, so this is based on what is said above.

I actually do know the minerals needed for each weapon, but they affect weapon "Skin dub" as I am going to call them. Such as swords and katanas are in different dubs even though they are both counted as "Swords." Hoshido weapon materials can be found in gee I wonder and vice versa with Nohr:

Crystal: Swords

Ruby: Lances

Sapphire: Axes

Onyx: Kunai

Emerald: Bows

Topaz: Tomes

Pearl: Katanas

Coral: Naginatas

Lapis Lazuli: Clubs

Amethyst: Shuriken

Jade: Yumi

Amber: Spells

Resource used: Fire Emblem wiki

Personally, if you are just making weapons for your avatar then try soft reseting for the respective item you want, or be like me where you don't care as long as it looks pretty

You would be correct. and actually 115 hit assuming the crit is all transferred into hit.

I was told that hit is capped at 90

Though I suppose, for weapons with above 90 hit in the first place, maybe they just get nothing

Assuming this is true though, who knows....

They most likely mis-informed you. If you check the weapons in fates, 17 of them have a hit rate of at least 100.

I vaguely recall seeing a 90 hit Bronze Kunai....but maybe I was wrong

I'm honestly not sure, who knows though...

Though I do get the feeling I am more likely to be wrong than right now

In another case, staves aren't weapons so it's kind of well...I dunno..........
