TheAstraWolf
Gonna play Fire Emblem Gaiden for the first time and I am wondering at what level and what class should I make the villagers I get during the game?
Jack.
If you're into grinding, definitely go Mercenary first, because Dread Fighters can promote back into Villagers and get extra level ups.
Icemario
This is what I did + my logic: Cliff: Mage because his learning pool pretty much asks for that. Gray: Mercenary to cover his terrible speed. Robin: idk what is really optimal but I made him a Mercenary and slapped the Levin Sword on him and benched asap. Atlas: See Grey. If you're into grinding, definitely go Mercenary first, because Dread Fighters can promote back into Villagers and get extra level ups. Personally, I didn't even get to the point where I could promote my DFs back into Villagers, nor did I feel I needed to. e: Also, you should never wait to promote any of your units (except maybe Alm or Celica) because FE2 growths are generally terrible and promotional gains only bring you up to that class' bases (or if they can't, give you a bunch of HP instead iirc).
