That way they'll at least have a taste of what they're in for with Conquest. If they can't handle that, then it might be easier to talk them into Birthright. It's impossible to talk one of them into Birthright, and the other would rather have the special edition. And, the FE7 issue: Emulation is probably too much work for them unless I go to their house and help them; then, even if they might like the story or characters, they probably won't like it enough to play it without stuff like pairing up units to get children, My Castle, etc. I guess I'm being pessimistic here, but they tend to prefer flashy games that are easy to play, Pokèmon or Animal Crossing.
