He gave one in the video, although I think you can find Ilios vs Olwen all over google because that's been debated since people have played the game in English. Even though there's been a clear winner to said debate for a long ass time... it still happens too often.

Personally though I think they went into enough specifics in the video. The B route characters are either more versatile or outright better.

When you say Eryizo, do you mean like the Pokemon Youtuber or am I getting him mixed up with someone else?

Also damn, this chapter looks...really easy! I assume it's a breather when actually playing the game, but it sounds like a slog to commentate over. Mekkah and the guest did a pretty god job regardless!

By the way, I am still watching this despite not giving feedback. However, the updates are so infrequent I stopped giving comments after reading. I just check back every few days to a week.

Chapters 21 and 21x are completed in 1 and 5 turns, respectively.

Chapter 21 information

New characters

ujzb0oY.png

Dermott (デルムッド) - Forest Knight L3
7 > 10 mov | pursuit critical coefficient = 5 | 0 leadership stars
Skills: Charm (Vantage and Wrath are from Dermott’s equipped weapon)

Of the 4 units who can wield the weapon specifically designed for one of the main villains in the game, Dermott is the only one in 0% growths who stands a fighting chance. One wishes that his skl or luk were a little better to tip the percentages more in his favor. Dermott’s Charm skill has minor utility over the rest of the game - it’s too bad that the skill doesn’t work on himself.

Chapter 21x information

Important weapons and items

7A.pngRewarp (リワープ)
A rank staff | self | 6 WT | moves user to any traversable, unoccupied tile

Rewarp completes the unholy trinity of movement-based staves. The staff’s name doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but that’s Engrish for you.

5C.pngNosferatu (リザイア)
B rank light | 1-2 rng | 12 WT | 12 MT | 65 hit | 0 crit | absorbs HP

In any reasonable run, Nosferatu can essentially be considered a prf weapon for most of its existence, as only Homer and Linoan have the requisite light ranks to use it. Nosferatu is merely a novelty until you pair it with Wrath, producing an invincible killing machine. Linoan has to make sure that she doesn’t get OHKO’d while using it (which is pretty hard for a unit with 16 HP) and doesn’t miss, but fortunately her most common targets are enemy magic users with 0 AS.

Mechanics notes

Prisoner census

All of the allies whom we have heartlessly abandoned up until this point have ended up in this prison facility, and it's up to Leif to bail them out and preserve his SSS rank. This chapter is his one and only chance to save captured allies; any unit captured or ditched after this chapter is lost forever.

Prisoners are dispersed evenly among 4 cells. Their distribution occurs in a fixed pattern, so theoretically their starting positions can be determined by going back and checking the deployment order of units in each chapter where we abandoned some comrades.

pNMN0FJ.png

The individual grey tiles are the positions within each cell that prisoners populate. Source: FEWoD.

The game cycles through the cells as it goes down the list of prisoners, i.e., every 4th unit will share the same cell. It appears that the game “starts” placing units in a different cell depending on the total number of units abandoned modulo 4.

For example, suppose that you have 16 units captured. If you were to abandon a 17th unit, then the resulting prisoner formation would not be identical to the 16-man formation with 1 extra unit placed in one of the cells. So the prisoner formation that I have going into this chapter is a result of careful planning mixed with trial and error.

Prayer.gifMiracle

Unlike in FE9 and FE10, FE5’s Miracle negates damage altogether, meaning that a unit can cheat death ad infinitum given that Miracle keeps activating. Miracle’s activation rate in this game is 3*luk% on an otherwise fatal blow. There is no animation for Miracle, so an activation looks identical to a normal dodge.

Miracle’s mechanics haven’t been tested extensively, but there is substantial evidence that once Miracle activates during a round of combat, it is in effect for the rest of that round.

Chapters 22 and 23 are completed in 1 and 2 turns, respectively.

Chapter 23 information

New characters

OMcqR4j.png

Saias (サイアス) - High priest L12
7 mov | pursuit critical coefficient = 0 | 3 leadership stars (5 in chapter 23)
Skills: Nihil

Saias is clearly designed for support rather than combat. If the player completes chapter 23 without recruiting Ced, then Saias stays in Leif’s army, otherwise he leaves after chapter’s end. In a normal playthrough, Saias can take the Wrath manual to become a functional combat unit while Sara can take over most of Ced’s duties in this playthrough. In 0% growths, Ced’s combat contributions are sorely needed.

LxWCNk1.png

Ced (セティ) - Sage L14
8 mov | pursuit critical coefficient = 3 | 1 leadership star
Skills: Adept

Ced is a combat god. He’ll ORKO almost every enemy as long as he doesn’t miss an attack at 99 hit or get thwarted by the enemy’s Pavise or Miracle skills. He also has A rank staves.

If a player unit ends his turn close enough to the gate, Ced will appear out of nowhere on enemy phase and murder the enemy boss before occupying the gate himself. Ced will not appear if the player can quickly kill the enemy boss and seize in the same turn. If Ced does appear but you rescue him off the gate and seize without talking to him, he also will not join.

Important weapons and items

5A.pngForseti (フォルセティ)
Prf rank wind | 1-2 rng | 6 WT | 20 MT | 90 hit | 30 crit | effective against fliers; skl +20, spd +20

FE4 emphasized what made holy weapons holy by awarding them the largest stat bonuses ever seen in Fire Emblem. Forseti is the only holy weapon usable in FE5, and it would make a proficient unit even without a user. Very few enemy units will be left standing after a round of Forseti and most of them will have trouble successfully hitting Ced.

Chapter 24 is completed in 6 turns.

Chapter information

New characters

7EYxlLf.png
Galzus (ガルザス) - Hero L20
7 mov | pursuit critical coefficient = 3 | 0 leadership stars
Skills: Astra, Luna

If Ced is a combat god, then Galzus is… also a combat god. The differences between them are that Galzus isn’t reliant on any particular weapon to crush skulls, but he can’t use staves, which makes him automatically less useful.

Important weapons and items

013.gifBlaggi Sword (ブラギの剣)
Prf rank sword | 1 rng | 12 WT | 15 MT | 70 hit | 0 crit | effective against armors; grants Miracle skill to user; negates Loptyr Sword’s atk-halving effect

The Blaggi Sword is limited to 4 users rather than only 1. It’s suggested that sword users with holy blood - Leif, Fergus, Nanna, and Dermott - can use this weapon, but Mareeta and Galzus can’t for some reason (also, Fergus has holy blood?).

Regardless of plot discontinuity, the Blaggi Sword’s intended function is to counter the Loptyr Sword wielded by Raydrik and his deadlord incarnation Eins. It’s a less impressive version of FE4’s Book of Naga tome.

012.gifLoptyr Sword (ロプトの剣)

Prf rank sword | 1 rng | 20 WT | 15 MT | 70 hit | 0 crit | mag +20; halves opponent’s atk

Raydrik’s Loptyr Sword is a cheap version of FE4’s Book of Loptyr tome, with both having the same general effect of halving the opponent’s atk. This coupled with the huge +20 mag bonus renders most attempts at damaging Raydrik ineffective - Ced would need a critical hit to deal only 8 HP damage with Forseti. Critical hits with effective weaponry and Luna activations can still deal adequate damage despite halved atk.

There’s a trick involving the Thief staff that allows the player to steal the Loptyr Sword, but it’s for pure novelty because the Loptyr Sword is unusable by any player unit.

64.pngBlizzard (ブリザード)
A rank wind | 3-10 rng | 20 WT | 9 MT | 70 hit | 0 crit | inflicts sleep on target

The added effect of Blizzard is not a typo: it’s the coolest siege magic tome ever. To be precise, it’s only cool in the player’s hands, because having sleep rained down upon you is probably not cool. Aside from being a cheaper version of Sleep that Asvel can use, Blizzard’s niche is that the user doesn’t have to out-mag the target in order to inflict sleep, which comes in handy in the final chapter.

60.pngHel (ヘル)
Prf rank dark | 1-2 rng | 20 WT | - MT | 60 hit | 0 crit | reduces target HP to 1; deals 1 HP damage otherwise

Hel is FE6 Eclipse in a threatening form. The most dangerous part of Hel is that it combos with Jormungandr to produce certain death on poisoned units unless they heal HP mid-turn with Sol or a self-healing weapon.

if he unequips the loptyr sword, he loses the atk-halving effect, so you don't even have to steal it. just give him a 2-range weapon and make him equip it.

But still, steal it for fun and watch how he magically gets a second one in the final chapter. Supposedly Veld must have a whole cupboard full of them somewhere in that dungeon.

Chapter 24x is completed in 3 turns.

Chapter information

Important weapons and items

7B.pngKia (キア)
Prf rank staff | 1 rng | 7 WT | restores target’s stone status

The Kia staff is essentially a very specific version of Restore that only Sarah can use. Stone is a plot-important but otherwise rare status effect; only Veld is capable of inflicting it.

Several chapters were long and boring and came paired with some loss of motivation. Shadow Dragon doesn't have any really long maps and it also has a couple of quick warp skips.
