How are you going to translate the epilogue? I'm just curious, as the epilogue's translation in the usual patch is hilariously bad at times if I recall correctly

I can see what I can do, I just need to fix up grammar or writing errors.

Garbled text at Armory instead of 'insufficient funds'. (Ch 14)

Thanks for letting me know, I'll be sure to fix that in the next patch.

I have an issue where the game doesn't save with this patch. Emulators don't generate a .sav whenever I save the game. It seems to work with other patches and I've seen this problem on FCEUX and Mesen.

I have the same issue, I've tried it with both Mesen and Nestopia but the game doesn't make a save file on either. I wonder why that is.

I realized why later down the line. It turns out you have to patch an already patched rom. So you have to make sure to patch it twice in order for the saving to work. Hope that helps!

Hello, I was hoping someone might know what might be the problem I'm getting.

FCEUX and Mesen won't boot the translated ROM at all.

 - I got a clean Japanese ROM.

 - Translated the clean ROM with Quirino's original translation (this boots fine).

 - Then I patch the translated ROM with the Beta 4 translation.

But when I go to boot the new ROM, it just fails to do so.

I'm wondering if I'm missing a step, or if anyone else has had the same problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated! 😄

You don't need to use Quirino's patch, just apply this one to a clean Japanese ROM.

Thank you for reaching out.

I tried patching the a fresh raw Japanese ROM at first and just tried it again, but still no luck.

I have no idea where I'm going wrong, I've patched all the other Fire Emblem games OK, but this last one giving me a rumble.

I really do appreciate the help

So I'm 99% sure that I've figured out the issue, and have got the Beta 4 patch working.

The problem was that there is an NTSC and PAL version of the ROMs getting around out there.

From what I can see, this patch won't work with the NTSC version, but it'll work perfectly fine with the PAL version of the ROM.

That's that mystery!
