I haven't played much of the game as of yet, but it seems that it would make the game way more difficult. Ch.2 (vs. Kaze and Rinkah) without the Healing Zone would be interesting. In Ch.3 (annoying Ninja boss) you would have to fight the Guard Stance Samurai and Archer and work your way south to the Boss. In Nohr Ch.6 Xander would be unable to get support from Elise and would be trapped on that northern bit of the... Delta? I guess that area would be called a delta. IDK about many other maps, I haven't used DV since but it seems pretty challenging. The only thing is that I don't know if there are any maps that are impossible (not in a difficulty sense but in terms of literal possibility) without it. Ch3 definitely will be...difficult to say the least if not impossible. there's a few chapters that require DV to advance (some can be bypassed with fliers but eh).
