Also contains spoilers for Revelation's endgame. Double spoiler just to be safe. I'm beyond bad at guessing what people are and aren't comfortable with... So what if the reason Anankos doesn't use flight or other abilities he has to make endgame even harder is because he's actually a vorarephile and is trying to hide (and being distracted by) the fact that he has a boner after eating Garon. Not because of shame of being into vore, but because out of shame he got that way from a pathetic human. It's funny to me at least. I'm probably not explaining it well, though.
