Pirate fefates-icon-axe.pngB

Nohrian. An axe-wielding thief of the high seas. Has high Speed.

Innate: Able to move on sea tiles at cost of 3 move per tile.

Stats: High Spd/Lck, middling Skl/Str/Def, weak Res/Mag.

Skills:

(lvl 1) Plunder: Upon attacking and defeating a foe, Luck% chance of obtaining an amount of gold equal to (foe's level x 4 + own Luck). (Adv. classes add +20 to level.)

(lvl 10) Seadog: Grants Hit/Avo +10 and -1 to damage taken while unit is on a Sea tile, and makes it easier to traverse Sea tiles.*

*For Pirate and Captain, decreases movement cost of traversing sea tiles by 0.5 points. For other classes, allows movement over sea at rate of 1 tile/3 move.

Promotes: Berserker, Captain

And because someone else had a similar idea and I rather like it:

Captain fefates-icon-axe.pngA, fefates-icon-sword.pngB, fefates-icon-kunai.pngB

Nohrian. An experienced pirate and a terror of the high seas. Wields axes, swords, and daggers.

Innate: Able to move on sea tiles at cost of 3 move per tile.

Note: When wielding a dagger, is actually shown wielding a flintlock pistol in combat.

Skills:

(lvl 5) Flintlock Threat: When wielding an axe or sword with an equippable dagger in inventory, inflict the dagger's debuff on hit. Also gives Skill% chance to deal extra damage equal to 1.5x the dagger's Weapon Might.

(lvl 15) Fire Away!: Once per battle, use "Artillery" command to place a Cannon. (Cannon behaves as a Launcher, but is operable only by a Pirate, Captain, or unit with the Fire Away! skill equipped, and hits only a single target. Cannon's power, hit, and debuff strength are dependent on the creator's highest weapon rank.)

**Topmost equippable dagger in the inventory is prioritized. Changes the Captain's combat animations to have an axe/sword in the right hand and pistol in the left. Skill only functional for units with both Dagger proficiency and either Sword or Axe proficiency.

And a new weapon:

Boarding Axe fefates-icon-axe.png

Rank: C Mt: 7 Hit: 60 Crit: 0 Avo: 0 Rng: 1 Eff: Golem (Automaton, Stoneborn, Mechanist), Edifice

Def/Res -3. Effective against golems and edifices. Hit/Avo +15 and follow-up attack speed +3 when wielder initiates the battle.

Note: When wielded by a Pirate or Captain, causes them to enter a unique dual-wielding stance with two boarding axes. The stance resembles the Pirate class's stance in Sacred Stones. This stance is overridden by the Flintlock Threat skill's stance if it is in effect.

Lately I've been enjoying the Neptunia franchise by Idea Factory & Compile Heart, so I thought I'd craft a hypothetical class based on my favorite major character in those games, Blanc.

White Heart fefates-icon-axe.png

A Goddess from an Outrealm nation called Lowee. Subjugates those who'd threaten her people with axes or clubs.

Innate: Critical Evade +10

Max Stats:

HP Str Mag Skl Spd Luk Def Res Mov WpnLvl

65 37 25 29 25 32 40 33 7* fefates-icon-axe.png - S

* - Base Mov is 5.

Pair-Up:

2 Str 4 Def 2 Res

Class Skills:

Lvl 1 Hair-Trigger "Hit & Crit +15 when enemy triggers battle and user's Health < 50%."

Lvl 10 Defense Support "Adjacent allies take 3 less damage and enemy's follow-up attack speed -3 during battles."

Lvl 25 Mental Support "Adjacent allies' Rally and non-combat support skills with effective range are extended by 1."

Lvl 35 Hard Break "Skl% chance of rendering the enemy unable to move nor attack for 1 turn after battle* with the user."

* - Blanc must be able to counterattack for this skill to work.

SCOUT fefates-icon-bow.pngfefates-icon-kunai.png

A weaker fighter who specialises in scouting the enemy force and hit and run tactics.

Weapons- Bow, Dagger (both A)

Stat Spread (I don't know what the standard stat parameters are in fates)

HP STR Mag SPD SKL LCK Def Res Mov

Class skills.

lvl1: Hit and run- Once this unit has attacked it can move again using the remaining movement. Unlike galeforce this does not require a kill and you can't attack during the extra move.

lvl 25: Movement +1- Pretty self explanatory

lvl 35: Quick feet- unit can move twice as far in its extra move

I decided to put my own spin on the hypothetical Valla Noble class, so here it is.

[spoiler=Valla Noble]Class: Valla Noble

Weapons: Sword "S" Dragonstone "S"

Promotion Path: Choose Revelations Route. You must forsake your Nohr Noble and Hoshido Noble promotion options if you wish to be a Valla Noble.

"A royal whose heart yearns for peace. Has superior skills in swords and dragonstones."

Max Stats

HP STR MAG SKL SPD LCK DEF RES MOV

60 34 31 29 32 33 31 32 6, Foot || Sword "S" Dragonstone "S" (Valla Noble)

60 32 31 28 32 27 29 32 6, Foot || Sword "A" Dragonstone "A" Tome "A" (Nohr Noble Comparison)

60 34 28 29 30 33 31 28 6, Foot || Sword "A" Dragonstone "A" Staff "B"(Hoshido Noble)

Pair Up Stats

HP STR MAG SKL SPD LCK DEF RES MOV

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 0

Skills

- Level 5: Draconic Destiny (When wielding Dragonstones, +1 Range*)

- Level 15: Invisible Fang (Skill x 0.5% chance adding half of the user's current HP as damage.)

* This essentially makes Dragonstones a 1-2 weapon, but can still only attack once.

Author's Notes:

I was debating on Draconic Destiny on whether it will allow Dragons to attack twice or give the bonus range. In the end, I settled on the range as this functionality already exists in the game in the form of Draconic Rage, and a dragon double attacking, while fun, seems somewhat out of place in Fates new weapon system.

As for Invisible Fang, Nohrian Trust allows the user to borrow other skills while Hoshidian Unity makes them more likely to proc. So, for Valla, I decided to go back to the basics and simply give Corrin a new skill to play with alongside Dragon Fang. Invisible Fang is powerful as it can add an additional 30 damage at full (capped) HP, but its power does decrease as the unit takes damage, essentially a reverse Vengeance.

As for max stats, I chose the highest caps of the other two nobles and fused them together, to reflect the combined nature of the Valla Noble. This class does sacrifice Tomes or Staff usage, but gains in weapon rank of Swords and Dragonstones, as well as improving Dragonstone usage with the class skill Draconic Destinity.

Griffon Rider - Skilled Riders who ride a mythical griffon into combat. A finely balanced warrior.

Level 1 Deliverer - User can still perform an action after seperating a unit from its pairup. Basically you can drop a pairing at the start of the turn, move and then attack. Or you can move, drop a unit off, and then attack. Basically seperating doesn't end your turn, but you don't gain a free movement action(so no moving twice).

Additionally Body Guard will never drop you below 1 hp. Basically it makes body guard more useful since it won't get the Griffon accidently killed and it gives a general bonus to survivabitly.

Terror Griffon - These heavily armored Griffon Riders have chosen to fully exploit that fact that mundane beasts fear the mythical griffon.

For this guy I would say nix the ability to hover since they are too heavy to manage sustained flight(only short hops to ignore terrain), however, I doubt such a thing currently works in the system.

First off, so many of these are so great that I don't want to spend 10 hours commenting on how amazing each one is.

Secondly, I have a bunch of ideas, but I guess I'll start with a FF reference: Dragoon

Base Stats:

Growth Rates:

Hp: 20 Str: 15 Mag: 0 Skl: 10 Spd: 15 Lck: 5 Def: 10 Res: 10

Pair-up Stats:

Skills:

Lv1: Acrobat (traverses all terrain equally)

Lv10: Jump (Jump command attacks with 1-3 range for all Lances/Naginatas. Follow-up attacks cannot be made, and user gains avo -10 for 1 turn.)

Lv25: Blood of the Dragon (This unit gains stat bonuses/detriments from carried dragonstones, but only the first in the inventory.)

Lv35: Wyrmsbane (Wyrmsbane command consumes dragonstone to make next attack deal bonus damage to dragon enemies.)

[spoiler=Armor Designs]

dark_souls__ornstein_and_artorias_by_men

I don't have a man-crush on Artorias and Ornstein. I don't have an armor fetish.

I decided to put my own spin on the hypothetical Valla Noble class, so here it is.

[spoiler=Valla Noble]Class: Valla Noble

60 34 31 29 32 33 31 32 6, Foot || Sword "S" Dragonstone "S" (Valla Noble)

60 32 31 28 32 27 29 32 6, Foot || Sword "A" Dragonstone "A" Tome "A" (Nohr Noble Comparison)

60 34 28 29 30 33 31 28 6, Foot || Sword "A" Dragonstone "A" Staff "B"(Hoshido Noble)

Pair Up Stats

HP STR MAG SKL SPD LCK DEF RES MOV

How about for the level 15 skill:

Silent World: Enemy units cannot trigger skills while fighting this unit.

If Hoshidan Unity and Nobrian trust are about giving yourself more skill procs, why not a skill that negates them?

First off, so many of these are so great that I don't want to spend 10 hours commenting on how amazing each one is.

Pair-up Stats:

+3 Str +3 Spd +Acrobat effect

I'm going to echo this. There are a lot of great ideas in this thread.

In regards to getting the acrobat effect, it would be neat if units had a 7th skill slot for temporary skills they get via weapons or other classes.

Hmm...I might just end up making a whole custom lord system...God, threads like these really get the juices going.

Spellsword

One who uses both martial and magical weaponry. While not great at any one stat, has the greatest options of any class.

Base Class

Highest Attribute: None

Lowest Attribute: None

Skills:

Always Prepared- While wielding a sword gain +2 Resistance. While wielding a tome gain +2 Defence. lvl. 1

Arcane Toughness- (Skill+Luck)/2 % Chance of adding one half of your Res./Def. when it wouldn't normally apply. lvl. 10

Maximum Weapon Ranks: fefates-icon-sword.pngB fefates-icon-tome.pngB

Warlock

Well versed in the nobler weapons, Warlocks add a certain finesse to a Spellsword's style.

Promotes From: Spellsword.

Highest Attributes: Skill, Speed

Lowest Attribute: None

Skills:

Parry- (Skill+Luck)/4 % Chance of negating enemy attack and reflecting half damage on them. lvl. 5

Veteran Scholar- If an enemy initiates an attack during enemy phase, initiating an attack on the same foe in player phase will grant you +4 Skill and Luck during that fight. lvl. 15

Maximum Weapon Ranks: fefates-icon-sword.pngA fefates-icon-tome.pngA

I'd like to do that cool armor design thing that NekoKnight is doing, but I'm too lazy to search for an image that fits each class.
