Those are my earlygame characters so far, I'm thinking I'll also add

nomad/trooper

knight/general

knight/great knight

maybe a cleric/sage or cleric/valkyrie

soldier/some flier

general

early game general? cause if we're talking full fe8 generals that's probably not the best thing you can do

On the skill list, Tribal Drumming still has it's user listed as GargoyleDude. Change it to Igzerd.

If anyone feels like making a Keaton/Kaden-esque class, go ahead!

Right kept forgetting

If anyone feels like making a Keaton/Kaden-esque class, go ahead!

(if you can make/get sprites for it, but that'd be cool. We already have Loup using strike weapons, so some other laguz sort of deal would be neat)

Here's a happy medium for normal and legendary weapons: Great Weapons!

A. Great Weapons can only be used by certain classes, usual promoted ones.

B. Great Weapons give modifiers to certain stats based on class needed to use them.

For Example:

Golden Blade:

A Great Weapon. Heroes only. Gives +1 to Strength, Speed and Skill.

Crazed Axe:

A Great Weapon. Berserkers only. +2 to Strength and Skill.

Divine Wrath:

Light Tome. Bishops only. Effective vs. Monsters, +1 to Magic and Speed.

I'm going to have S ranks, they just won't be "legendary"

That said though more class-locked weapons could be neat. Weapon restrictions in general, to encourage using different types of units. I'll be sure to add those when I get to adding weapons (which is not yet)

Maybe have Special Weapons that are locked to a base class and it's promotion (Myrmidon+Swordmaster, Thief+Assasin, so on) too?

Skills:

Mercuria: Skill% to deal Str/Mag+Speed damage to enemy

Venucal: Skill% to deal Str/Mag+Luck damage

Terra: Str/Mag+Defense

Marsucai: Str/Mag+Skill

Jupital: Str/Mag+Resistance

Neptunier: Str/Mag+ 1/2 Max HP

Plutonia: Str/Mag+ Move*2

@including unpromoted forms, of course. Heck, maybe I'll even add a couple weapons that are t1 only, just because I can.

yes monsters in uhhhh probably about 20% of the chapters this says, so actually pretty infrequently according to current chapter plans... I should make them more common because yes, they will exist.

Allright, in that case I have an idea for a mid-to-late-game character:

Vito

Class: Sage

Personal Skill: Blue Magic- Allows this unit to attack with Monster Weapons and Dragonstones.

Growths:

HP: 25%

Mag: 40%

Skill: 30%

Spd: 65%

Luck: 40%

Def: 80%

Res: 80%

And have some growths for my other characters!

Silver:

HP: 30%

Str: 70%

Skill: 40%

Spd: 90%

Luck: 30%

Def: 30%

Res: 10%

Bogan:

HP: 85%

Str: 55%

Skill: 25%

Spd: 40%

Luk: 15%

Def: 45%

Res: 35%

Skills:

Prude: Unit gains stat bonuses when fighting an enemy of the opposite gender

Proud: Unit gains stat bonuses if lower level than enemy.

Untouchable: Unit will auto-dodge the first attack directed at them if they killed an enemy the previous turn.

Weapons:

Murakumo: A blade found in a dragon's tail. Effective vs. Dragons, Mymidons and Swordmasters only.

Fafnir Flame: A tome of draconic fire. Effective vs. Dragons, +2 to Skill

Kusanagi: A god-slaying blade. +4 to EVERY STAT. Great/Blade/Knight/Whatever Lord only.

Excalibur: A holy sword. +1 to every stat. Lord only.

Yeah I guess I've just been quietly putting stuff on the sheet instead of saying I'm doing so here, so: added Vito, going to add character data for Bogan then Silver when I get to them. I'm trying to get the first 15 chapters finished up before I start on later stuff--currently I have unit placements set up for all of them, but I'm working on events for chapter 7. I added Lyallone's portrait to the sheet and their affinities, and will reference these weapons when I get to those points in the game. As for the planetary skills, there's no group of characters that are related and want a theme like that. I might add planetary held items that do stuff, but eh.

Magetheif caps!

HP: 50

STR: 20

SKL: 29

SPD: 30

LCK: 30

DEF: 20

RES: 28

Also aid: 11

I honestly want to make speed 35-40, but that might be too much

(considering literally no stat except HP can even go above 30, the only way I'd be able to do that is make promoting to Magethief give a skill that boosts speed by 5, at the cost of whatever other skill it would have instead)

(which I could do if you really wanted)

The planetary skills don't have to be named like that, I just was piggybacking on the Sol, Luna and Astra names. You can rename them.

Alrighty then!

New skill:

Speed+5(exactly what it sounds like.)

Its overkill, considering the fact that Rye WILL hit the speed cap, and +5 speed makes it so that he can steal everything, and double everything (except wary fighter generals) also, the magethief can steal, and use lockpicks/that lockpick skill on the google doc.

You haven't updated the magetheif skill yet, just wanted to point that out.

Also I frankly don't care if "Garon's" sprite is actually king Garon, it just picked a name for the boss and rolled with it.

garon

EDIT: something I feel I should point out is, I'm not sure about giving Rye such high luck in addition to all this. He'll be able to hit 100 avoid without terrain, plus the ability to attack both defense and resistance without a real downside--altogether, he can pretty much solo most of the late-endgame maps if leveled, and he's not even that hard to level.

Hey look, I unintentionally made an Est character! (even though that was sorta the point)

I can see the point, and would lowering luck to a 40-60% growth and making the base luck lower (say, 4 or 5) work?

AlsoIhavenowideahowtheheckbattlestatsworkcansomeonepleaseprovidemeaguideforthat

Also the Garon idea is just...perfect.
