Renne
I love blackboards but my university replaced all of them before and I'm used to that now. So I don't mind either, but I would prefer blackboards.
euklyd
blackboard for writing fancily, whiteboard for literally anything else edit: also blackboards need to have chalk that you're allowed to snap into small pieces to get a better edge Edited June 5, 2016 by Euklyd

Kinumi
used to prefer the latter but my dad built my current house with no carpet, saying that "it's difficult to clean spills that way" so now i agree with him

Original Alear
It depends on the room, but if I had to go with all one or all the other, tiles. Let us consign floorboards to the abyss.
Freohr Datia
when it comes to comfort I prefer carpets, but when it comes to appearance I prefer tiles especially wooden tiles like they perfectly balance out because of that so I can't say which I prefer most overall ;u;
Parrhesia
Ideally, wood, but of the two - tile.

euklyd
wooden tiles like holy shit wood tiles > tile tiles >> carpet for dust, spills/cleaning, and look. carpet is only good for feel, and even then only sometimes (cool tiling is a blessing)

Freohr Datia
omg I can almost never put up with the coolness from tiles because my joints feel pained very easily from cold so not only would feeling the cool tiles mean I have to be barefoot to begin with (usually instantly causing my feet joints to feel pain) but the cold of the floor will just add onto this pain ;~; so yeah I can be in a house that even has temperatures I'm comfortable with or even a bit warm for me, but my joints will still go into pain because it has to be reeeaaaally warm for them to not start aching :c
