I found 2 harder at least early on. once you get the chromatus it does get a little easier but I still find a lot of the bosses to be very difficult and also I don't know if this is the same with 1 but with 2 you don't have any say in your party for most of the bosses which is where I find a lot of Xillia 2's lategame difficulty comes from since for Rideaux and Victor your party doesn't have any actual healers. I find Rideaux 2 to be the hardest boss in the game but if the party was Ludger Rowen Milla and Elise I think the battle would be a lot easier than with Ludger Alvin Jude Milla. even though the party for that boss has my main in it

Xanadu Next: A fun, stat-heavy, isometric (most of the time; when it's not the camera is fixed behind the main protagonist) action RPG by Falcom. You run around in circles waiting for the enemy to strike, then you attack a little bit then retreat before they attack you. Rinse and repeat. You can also fling spells at the enemies if Sir Brave Knight isn't feeling particularly brave about that one 6v1 scenario. Keep your wits about you!

Just finished I suppose what is the first "main boss" of the game. You had about 8 or 9 adjuncts of the main enemy attacking you, and the "cores" spewing poisonous fumes at you, as well as poisonous exploding things coming up now and then. It's a game that definitely rewards the patient; you got to be well equipped, never overexert (but can't attack too little since all the little obstructions will no doubt get to you eventually), fully concentrated, and diligent. Oh, and your mouth has to be agape when the first notes of that sweet piano accompanying the ruinous Clover Fields enters your ears. Basically, the soundtrack is really good. The gameplay's also satisfying, in my opinion, which is arguably the main thing.

Overall, I think it's a solid game. Definitely worth the £14 or so I spend on Steam for it. My only gripe with the game is the seemingly randomness of the block mechanic. But maybe I'm unknowingly triggering it at some points.

The Last Guardian: I quite like the game this despite it's many flaws, it's rare to play an AAA game with actual artistic vision and while does not hit on all it's notes I think it's as good as ICO, but not really as good as Shadow of the Colossus. Really my big problem with the game is that Trico can't die no matter what once you realize he's in no real danger it really takes the stakes out of some of the situations in the game, because I realize it's just a looping animation of him being tortured you can take as much time of the puzzle as you dang well please. It still sucks to hear him getting hurt, but having no failure to state attached to it really pulls the veil off the eyes. It also suffers from the same occasional pacing issues that ICO did. It also on top of all this has some various technical issues it really shows it's rough development in the game so frame rate issues are pretty bad for non-pro users in any open area ( though this will hopefully be improved overtime) and and Trico AI is inconsistent to say the least, he's not as bad as the Internet is making out to be you just have to learn his quirks and then you can get him to be relatively obedient, he still glitches out occasionally though even when you master him. 8.5/10 in its current state (would be a 9.5 if the bugs are worked out).

The Witcher 3: this is an absolutely incredible RPG it has tons of freedom to explore, but it's combat is not the greatest but meh, it's definitely passable and entertaining enough, but the story, characters, choices, customization, the exploration, and even the side quests are awesome, this game is nothing short of incredible. I recommend it to anyone who can take it's Hard M and likes Western RPGs. It would be one my favorite games ever if it wasn't for the fact that it's just a bit too risqué for my tastes. I was warned about this before hand, so I did take that to account and I got exactly what I expected, but it doesn't mean it's not a thing that stops it from being one my favorite games ever. Because I get it you have nudity you don't need to flaunt it all the time, like most games with this have a relatively limited amount of it, but Witcher goes all out on it to the point that there is a scene where you're in a sauna with a bunch of old women, I shouldn't have to explain why that's very uncomfortable. My problem isn't with existing in the game I know some people like the stuff whatever that's their thing (I have moral qualms with pornographic imagery, but you do you I'm no one to judge) but my problem is is it's very difficult to opt out of it whereas most RPG's give me easy ways to do it or make it limited so I only have to block it out so much. Thankfully the blood and gore is not horribly over the top I don't say this out any moral issue but because I literally cannot play games that are too gory I get ill (yeah this is the thing or else I would've played Doom and Ninja Gaiden), but I know this is a thing that people like even if I wish games would tone it down a little or a least give me options to tone it down a little for my own queasiness issues. 9.5/10

Ys 1, after playing Origin I decided to check out the rest of the Falcom series, because ever since I played Trails in the Sky FC & SC i've been trying to get my hands on whatever Falcom has made because I loved Ys Origin & the Trails games alot.

Ys 1 tells the beginning of the tale of Adol Christin as he travels various lands (getting shipwrecked in the process). The game is top down and to fight you use something called the bump system where you have to run into enemies to damage them but not right straight on or you take damage, you have to hit them on the side etc.

The game is fairly compact and has a simple yet interesting narrative, dungeon crawling and fighting, occasional puzzles. I see Ys so far as a series that does more of what I wished Zelda focused on (but it does what it does well so thats just a me thing).

I can't wait to play II and Oath, along with Ark and the other games, and speaking of Falcom games I gotta play Popful Mail and Xanadu, along with Trails of Cold Steel!

Still playing Mobius Final Fantasy. The Ultros event is live. You fight Ultros, complete with FF6 battle music. Ultros talks. I think I'm in love.

But seriously, the amount of nostalgia packed into this one event is insane. While Mobius has its issues (MYTHIC SAGE WTF), the vast majority of gameplay content is doable without having to spend a dime.

Tales of symphonia chronicles

Symphonia 1: I hated the original game when I first played but playing it years later I don't hate it as much. Free running is the main thing that every other tales game has spoiled me on and my first tales game I played was abyss. I do like the cameo costumes in the game and especially that Zellos gets one of my favorite tales character. though the gameplay is still just Symphonia 1 and one of my least favorite things in older tales games is in there MAGIC LENSES. without them you have no way of being able to gauge how far along you are in any fight. but it is the first 3d tales game even though it is more like the 2d ones so I shouldn't really be too harsh on the game

Symphonia 2. My second favorite tales game, but it is identical to the Pal version of the original game. That is not too much of a problem since I love that game to death but I wished that more was added to it especially the cameo costumes that were in the first games port.

Overall: dislike and love it respectively but it is a good game overall and symphonia 1 was not as bad as I remembered

Overwatch: it's probably the funnest shooter related game that I have ever played.

Final Fantasy XV: Holy Shit I wasn't expecting to enjoy this game as much as I am. The music is really nice, composed by the same woman who composed Kingdom Hearts. The game looks visually appealing. Exploring the area's is fun. I like all the main cast as well as their interactions with each other. Riding around in the car while listening to old Final Fantasy soundtrack is cool. And of course riding chocobos is fun. The combat system is fun, but one complaint I have is that magitek soldiers drop in a bit too often for my liking, and doing nighttime hunt quests when magitek soldiers drop in and the iron giants spawn causes me a freaking headache. But aside from that, I am enjoying it a lot! Admittedly I am only 3 chapters in, but I am enjoying running around doing sidequests.... this is too soon to say, but I might even try to 100% this game... or at least come close

Been playing Flight Rising like crazy... For those who don't know, Flight Rising is a free MMO where players can battle, raise, breed, and sell dragons. There are also special events, such as a holiday for every month. Sometimes there may be other things, like secret fighters or areas. Also, what makes this game unique amongst MMOs is that it is truly free. There is a currency can pay to get, but it's completely optional, and the game does a very good job of making sure those who choose not to get it are not disadvantaged. There's also other ways of getting it in game, such as completing certain tasks.

At first, it sounded like a generic Dragon game, so I abandoned it after a while. A few months ago, I completely went back to it, and have fallen in love with it. The thing about the game is it has a very intricate lore, but it takes a while to find it. Furthermore, although the game has its own lore, it actively encourages the player to make lore for their own dragons. The Dragon suddenly become so much more meaningful and hard to give up when not only do they have backstories behind them, but their back stories that players create themselves.

There's also the multiplayer aspect of the game, which contains everything from helping out people to sales, to even writing a newsletter or performing quests for others. Some people even devote their time to drawing or writing , and their work is used in other parts of the community. Others help out in holidays, working to make sure their Flight is active or helping others. There is plenty to do in single player, but multiplayer is where the game truly shines. And the game updates frequently, so there's always new things to find.

The game does have its issues though, such as a lot of real-time requirements with no way to speed through them. Also, a lot of the den expansions are expensive, so you're stuck getting rid of dragons for while. The achievement system is fun to complete, but also can be frustrating because of real-time requirements and a lot of things being luck based. There's even one achievement that has yet to be turned on, but still counts towards completion. In terms of fighting other dragons, there's not really much benefit to doing it, and fighting monsters, while useful, needs a bit of a revamp. However, more revamps are coming in the future with updates being done every day.

Overall, despite its flaws, I would highly recommend Flight Rising to anyone who's interested in MMOs, real-time games, or even just dragons. unlike others of its kind, there's not much of a penalty if you don't play it for a while ( the only penalty being that your dragons become inactive and can't be used for much until you feed them to get them active again). I credit this game for getting me interested in MMOs as a whole, when I previously wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I've been playing Final Fantasy XV. It's probably one of the better Final Fantasies I've played. The gameplay really flows, the main cast is likeable, the music is... it's Final Fantasy.

The ending is the only thing that holds it back from being the best.

Watched Dai Gyakuten Saiban subbed, finally. The story was pretty good, and it was refreshing to see an Ace Attorney game with decent writing again, but I dislike how it ended with a few unresolved plot threads. Also, as a Sherlock Holmes fan, I'm surpried a fellow fan felt it was a good idea to essentially revamp Doctor Watson to a 10-year-old genius doctor mad scientist author girl; way too much anime for my tastes.

Now to see if I should make a Square Enix account to be able to play Final Fantasy VII on Steam (why is this a thing?). I've never touched the series, but now that it's in my library, I feel like I really should.

I really think the ending sequence could be fixed with a few things.

Don't change any of the plot; change the exploration. Let us see the world of ruin. Let us see the downfall of the world in Noctis' absence. Like, I was seriously willing to haul ass over to Lestallum and see the last bastion of humanity before heading to Insomnia.

Noctis dying and purging the Starscourge was fine, because that was a prophecy and that was the endgame. It was rounding out the King's journey to his ascension and his sacrifice for the people.

I just think the impact of the world of ruin wasn't big enough as a player to really comprehend. The entire final fight with Ifrit and Ardyn were amazing, with Ardyn being the most truly unique of all Final Fantasy bosses where he has access to everything you have access to. You're fighting someone with the same abilities as you, though they should've put more effort into making that boss fight harder, like Ardyn healing at warp points. Otherwise, it's definitely a Top 5 FF game for me.

I think fleshing out Eos in general would've done the game a bunch of wonders. What's Niflheim supposed to be like? What about Tenebrae? What happened with Shiva in the ruins? Show us more about Ravus' downfall instead of telling us. What was the fight in Altissia like? The plot had a significantly grander scale than it felt like, and I think a bunch of little things is what it needed to show us the scope.

Last game I played was 7th Dragon III. I haven't finished it yet though so I can't give a proper opinion.

So in that case, the last game I finished was Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse. I think it was a damn good game, and love the new features, demons, and improvements (GOD BLESS THE MAPPER APP) they added in.

However, I'm honestly not too keen on it from a non-gameplay perspective. It's a bit too Persona/Devil Survivor-esque for a mainline SMT game if you ask me, and I think IV did a lot better in the story department.

It's also a bit easier than IV (aside from a select few bosses, ESPECIALLY THE GODDAMN FINAL BOSS), which may or may not be a bad thing considering how frustrating IV could be at times.

Overall though, I still prefer IV over Apocalypse, and the former remains my favorite game of all time.

How did you play IV that made it harder than Apocalypse? I remember being angry with the game for being easy. Minotaur and Medusa were a great start but I kinda feel like everything afterwards up till Pluto and then the endgame bosses was really easy....

Every boss in the Yamato Perpetual Reactor arc was, honestly, a pushover for me on my first playthrough.

The final bosses too.

THE FUCKING CHALLENGE QUEST BOSSES CAN GO FUCKING DIE THOUGH. HOLY SHIT DO I EVER HATE MASTEMA, BEELZEBUB AND DEMIURGE.

That and how random battles can kill you in the blink of an eye, especially early game, really seals it for me. 'Cause Apocalypse rand batts aren't horribly threatening outside of Metatron and Metatron Hordes.

So Apocalypse is harder in the main story hurdles, but IV can kick your ass silly everywhere else.

It's parts of this and parts of... the ending cutscene and such itself:

So... I mean the ending cutscene. Not just the entire ending part. The actual ending was kind of "eh?" It wasn't the worst, like you said it can be improved, but I have a large beef with the ending cutscene. And it's kind of a complaint I have with a character...

I don't care about Lunafreya. The ending is a sad ending disguised as a happy one. You're supposed to be happy that Noctis is dead but with his wife. The thing is I never cared about his wife and was never given a reason to care about Lunafreya. So the ending was basically "your favorite MC is dead and with that wife you don't care about."

Lost Dimension:

A Valkyria Chronicles like game but half of the team are traitors. I personally liked the game. The plot is barebones at best. Finding traitors isn't too hard due to the protagonists ability to read minds (but its not broken enough just to go to every in the party and ask are you the traitor) after each battle you here voices from the party members and you don't know what voice belongs to who. some of the voices up to three can be red and all distorted and while I am not completely certain a red voice can be a voice that you can here clearly during the scene but I am not sure yet. The game has an assist system similar to Fates' dual strike system where if someone attacks someone on the opposite side other nearby allies in range to attack will join in, and also if an attack is directed at the back of the character it does boosted damage. I find both of these systems extremely necessary to abuse when taking on bosses. At the end of a world there is a vote off to vote off who the party believes is the traitor. People will come to the main character Sho to ask who he thinks is the traitor which can get people to vote towards who you know is the traitor by using points you get sparsely in battles to fully examine a characters thoughts to get a yes or no answer on if they are a traitor. when traitors or innocents die in the vote off they leave behind a core which can transfer there ability's onto other units. which makes there abilities not gone forever and can actually Improve other characters also traitors are completely random
